all systems go Posts: 2,969 Group: Former Monarchs Member #482 Joined: January 18, 2007	Well, Metallix was playing with this idea a few months or weeks ago, something like that and I liked it a lot. Basically, it would be nice if there was a place where we could, I dunno, talk about anything and not have people breathing down our necks because someone said "rape" or "Goatse". I know the whole "You don't need to swear to get your point across" topic was spoken about before, but this is different, 'cause we'd be able to joke around, too, so mods wouldn't have to slap a warn on us for calling someone a douchebag or something. :\ (I know it's the job of mods/admins to make sure that doesn't happen, but within the mature forum, hopefully people would be willing to take it as a joke.) It'd all be light-hearted fun and, well, it doesn't have to be visible to people who don't want to see it. There could be a warning asking for the member to agree that they think they're mature enough to join in. I think it's a cool idea. Hopefully I won't get replies like "This is a kids forum!" because that point's pretty irrelevant if you really think about it.

AS IF Posts: 4,604 Group: A Rank Legend Member #533 Joined: February 2, 2007	It could be password protected if anyone thinks a simple "Are you mature?" pop-up isn't enough. Anyone over a certain maturity level/age could message a staff member for the password. I've been to a few respectable forums that had a "mature" section, and actual discussion went on inside it, not just jokes about bumholes and NSFW pictures. I fully endorse this idea.

But since some may not want to involve, this so called section should then be password protected. I wait to see other opinion's though. But i give thumbs up. It has to be monitored by a moderator or administrator, of course, but I just hope that it won't get out of hand. I approve of it, so long as it's maintained properly.

It would be good to allow our mature members to stretch their legs without being so confined to the stipulations of this board. And it would also allow some of the mods to stop getting chomped on for actually conforming to protocol. As far as I see it, it's a win-win for everybody. X3;;
