Marble Garden Act 1 Posts: 143 Group: B Rank Adventurer Member #9,148 Joined: July 8, 2008	Heya guys. =P If you didn't catch my intro, I mentioned I was an artist~ Or at the very least, a doodler if you prefer. ;D Haha. I mainly sketch these days, especially in the summer when I'm not worried about my studios. But I like drawing anthro, too. Oh, and I don't do requests usually anymore. Mainly because I end up backed up and then it takes me forever to finish them all @@; But if I do open them, I will make note here. Boring text aside, here's a couple drawings I've done recently: Jodie Upgrade Ah-hahaha. This is an old character whose design I rehashed some back in April. I didn't realize how old this drawing is, but I still like it, so I guess that's all that really counts. Emily Done at a 3k viewer prize for a guy I knew from a long since closed Sonic forum. He liked it, so that's all that really matters. Humans are obviously not a forte of mine. ;D Sonno (left) and Rasha (right) A quick sketch done in my summer class of my friend's character, Sonno, and my own. I was going for wolf, but it didn't come out as I'd planned. Oh well. Jonin A new character in the works. He'll be playing a supporting role, but I really like his design, so maybe later on, he'll become something more. Cloudo <3 A WIP for poor Ereki (ignore the crudeness of the picture. It was taken with my camera instead of scanned). I told him I'd draw him something and then clearly forgot until last night. XD; So, I sketched this up last night and will hopefully refine it later. ^^; C&CC Please. <3

I'll be honest about the sketches, though: I wish you would've cleaned them up a bit. :\| I'm sure they'd look fantastic if you did. :]

And, Sonno looks so bored.. or is he concentrating.. hmm... Either way, the pose is, again, well good xD. Jodie is like "Oooh I don't see anyone vandalizing that property Whistles" Less sketching, more finished piccas!! ^^ Though; the Jonin and Fl0ofah piccas are lookin' great, as well. Also, your sig composition rawks.

I might have something new in color soon. It's been sitting on my desk for ages, begging me to finish it. D= Ah, I remember the days when I would color everything! Oh well. Perhaps those days will return. Whose to know? Thanks for the boost of confidence though, guys. Sometimes my stuff never gets past sketch phase, since I don't feel like it's good enough.

But here's teaser. The artstyle in itself is old, but the coloring is hot off the press. I will scan it instead of using that camera when I'm finished.

I've had a big soft spot for traditional through my lifetime so even though I do more digital now I'm not a person who looks a picture over just because it hasn't been run through an expensive digital art program that is hard for many to get a hold of.

Unfortunately, there seems to be more and more people out there that are like that. ^^; I actually have photoshop myself, but it's too frustrating for me and takes away the feeling of drawing. But what can I say? Just looking around, just how much is traditionally done these days? So, I'll keep at it. ;D Here's the final result of that drawing I previewed days ago, now that I've finished it. Forgive the scanner's butchering of the colors. xx; Also, please keep in mind that a vast majority of the art style is very old, and thus I would appreciate that if you are going to critique it, that you are mainly focusing on the inking and coloring work. Thanks. =P Just click the thumbnail for the larger image (it's pretty large; just a forewarning for 56k users). If anyone has any suggestion for the color to be added in the backdrop of the characters, that would be appreciated. If you're wondering if the colors of the letters have any significance, they are actually referencing the order that the characters first appear in the story they're in.
