"Evaluate this expression!" Me: "Uh.....Froggy?" We all know that we're going to forget some important stuff over the summer. It happens. Only I'm not going to sit on my butt any more and lose s'more brain cells. So what I did is scrounged the Internet for some free online college course material. The best stuff I've found is from MIT and the University of California @ Berkeley. There's a big list that tells what colleges have freebies. It's here. Other than that, there's: UC @ Berkeley MIT OpenCourseWare So far it looks like I'm going to be using the one at UC. UC offers podcasts. MIT however depending on the course, just gives you slideshows and asks you to buy all the books and crap as if you're in a real university. I dunno, maybe Berkeley won't work out either, but either way at least it's a good way to keep your noggin from cloggin' from South Park. Or if you're building your own console or mod for it, for example, the Berkeley Electrical Engineering podcasts could come in really handy. There's also a service called Wikiversity that offers free course material as well, including a sandbox server for their computer science stuff, but not all of the 'departments' are complete yet. Heck, you guys could contribute if you wanted to. This is a great thing to see, as I believe that information and education should be open to everyone without cost. All education is, is basically the transfer of facts between a multitude of people. We educate each other every day just by interacting. So why put a price tag on it like we do bottled water?
