I saw the movie's midnight premiere here.. it is the BEST MOVIE EVER in my opinion, even topping my longtime favorite, V for Vendetta. I really can say all that much more because I'm too stunned. Heath deserves a posthumous Oscar for being BETTER THAN PERFECT as the Joker. This movie could easily do what LOTR did and run away with the whole show.. everything from story, to makeup, actors (Heath), Special effects.. the list goes on.. My helpful tip... WATCH THIS MOVIE. My review for it will be in the Worth the Popcorn? thread within the next few days whilst I think of the right words to express my epic opinion on it. ^^ I'm sure you are all very impatient to see my review.. right... right.. *sad face* awwww. |

I'm... seriously speechless after seeing this movie. I can't even comprehend the epicness of it. Heath Ledger IS The Joker. Every time he came on the screen it was so tense. This movie lives up to the hype and exceeds way over it. Easily the best comic book movie their is and might ever be. I just can't believe it lived up to the hype. I loved this movie. |

I plan to see this movie on Sunday with a friend. The midnight showing was probably completely sold out at my theater (XD; last time I punched up a ticket for it, there were a seat capacity warning). From what you all have said after seeing it, sounds like it may be worth my while. =P |

Believe me, you'll love this movie. The midnight crowd at my theater was just amazed, they clapped and yelled in joy afterwards. The first 10 or 20 minutes is a bit "Yeah this is good" it's just alot of talk, explaining things which needs to happen... But after that...You're just sitting there like "Wow, did that just happen?!?" Everyone in the theater was so silent and focused in on the movie. You won't be disappointed. Or at least you shouldn't be. Because it blew my expectations out of the water, and they were extremely high expectations.

Well at least Zakk is done having BatGasms now. xD I feel as if though I'm the only one who sees this as just another hero movie. I'm not hyped for it in the least bit. The first one bored me way too much to really care. And I'm a comic fan too D: But blah. Guess I never liked DC too much. I'd rather finally see the new Hulk movie than this. /marvelfanboyism But I'll see it eventually. |

Johnny-Psssh, I'm still in utter shock of the movie. And plus once rumors start about the next one I prolly won't shut up about it. How could you NOT like Batman Begins if you're a comic nerd? D: People say that's THE BEST COMIC-BOOK ADAPTION TO FILM EVER. Each to his own. So go sling those webs out of your butt while Batman kicks arse. haha just messin. x) And the fighting in the movie is AMAZING, it's not all over the place like the last one, you can actually see him doing those awesome karate moves, IT'S GREAT. |

Hmm sounds like the movie have been a successful hit after all. Maybe if i gather some friends on it's release i might run of towards the cinema and watch this. But you better not fake me with all this glory Zack. Anyway, don't post to many spoilers since it wouldn't be worth it by then if i knew already to much before the actual movie is spread out in flat screen and total darkness just me and a bag of popcorn about to enjoy Batman. So keep everything about reviews and stuff like that, out of my reach until i have seen it my self. |

From what i've heard, its said to very violent and filled with none stop action. each action scene grows with intensity and thrill. Also, this movie was also sold out even before it hit the theaters i'm told. this sounds like my kind of movie. DC is scoring some major points against Marvel. Rating are supposedly much higher then any of the spider-man movies. I'm getting word that it might have done better then Iron-Man. not too sure of that one at the moment. |

The Joker is VERY evil. He has... well some very disturbing "tricks" I may say. and don't worry DF, I won't spoil anything about the movie, I know how much that sucks going into a movie and someone tells you everything about it. Oh yeah, I knew it'd blow Spiderman out of the water, TDK has a much more... realism to it than Spiderman, haha sounds funny saying that for a comic-book movie, but yeah. Plus Heath's death, people are probably wanting to see his last film, and a great job he did, I think he did it perfect. And not to mention all the viral-marketing and fanboys of the movie talking about it (Like me!) It made 18 Million dollars ALONE on the midnight shows, not including the 3AM and 6AM shows. And the record before was 16 Million by Starwars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. I'm going to see this again with my dad, because he wants to see it in IMAX. Can't wait! |

It's so sad Heath is dead now. I'd love to see more of him as the Joker in the next Batman movie, but that's impossible now, obviously. It gives this movie a strange feeling, knowing that the person I'm watching now only died just recently. Although I wish I could say the same for Batman. Christian Bale sounds just like he did in Batman Begins, which means he says all of his lines as Batman in this hoarse, guttural, loud voice that never changes in tone or inflection no matter the situation. It works for fight scenes I guess, but in scenes where he's just having conversations with other characters it feels really odd. It just made Batman feel goofier and goofier the further the movie went along...almost as (unintentionally) funny as the Joker ![]() Also...you have to pay pretty close attention to keep up with the plot, considering there's a lot of characters to keep track of and the story seems to jump all over the place. Although it's not too hard to do considering the movie always has something going on to hold your interest. But there were times when I forgot why a character was doing this or a character was hanging around there, or whatever. This movie will require repeat viewings to fully appreciate everything, I think. |

It's official, The Dark Knight has overtaken Star Wars: Episode III as the highest grossing film on day one, there are still show-times to be seen and $18.5 million already earned in less than 24 hours. New Box Office record made me smile. ^^ |

Lol, I found this funny. I heard the director had the perfect story for the Joker in the third movie(which I think is a trilogy). But then, the plan completely screwed up when Heath died. You all probably heard about this but the third movie I heard is going to revolve more about Twoface. As for me and this movie, haven't watched it yet. Planning to Sunday <3 |

I'd be way more hyped for the third if Bane breaks Batman's back in it and we get to see Azrael. xD I also want Robin (Tim Drake). He's my favorite DC character. *shot* Edited by Johnny, Jul 19 2008, 10:41 AM.

Eh, I wouldn't say that for sure. The cast for the Spiderman trilogy in terms to most, SUCKED. Most people think Tobey Mcguire is just a bad actor. And I want to see as villians in the next one... The Riddler and Bane. either of them would be cool if done right. But the guy who directs the new Batman movies said that if WB wanted Robin in it, he would quit. So if WB is smart, they'll take his advice and NOT add him. |
