I've been wanting one lately and since GCs are only $29 at gamestop, I think it would be a good investment. I'd be getting it for the Adventure games like I got DC for them a year after it died. I've always wanted a GC, but with a PS2 I didn't have enough money with all of the games I got for it.

Why not just buy a Wii then? Then you can get SatSR, SA2B, AND SADX. |

Don't care for the Wii. I've always liked the GC though, and $250 is too much to justify for SatSR. I have SA DX on PC, but PC sucks. Using a keyboard on a Sonic game sucks and I'd rather play it on a TV than my monitor. Plus SA2 isn't on PC. |

I say go for the GC, then you can use Action Replay if you have it. Which means more Sonic fun! There's an update for the Wii that started when Super Mario Galaxy was released, now when you try to use AR, it says there was an error and you should check the manual... And of course, there's nothing about this "Error." Plus, its so freaking small you could take it on a road trip easily, my brother hooked it up to one of those portable TV's and the car battery and we played SSBM for the six hour trip. |

I would say go for the Wii... Any Wii games that come out you can get, even Sonic Unleashed, and then with a GC Controller you can play any and every GC game, except I don't think you can use Free Loader on the Wii for the imported ones. Anyways, I say Wii. SatSR, Sonic Unleashed (Unless you have a 360 - I'm getting it for 360, most likely.), Zero Gravity, and anything else that comes out. But, if you want the GC, go ahead. It is cheap, so that may be the better choice. |

Well aint that sweet. I have had a dream about owning another console as well. And when you wake up, a small dissapointment since it would only be a dream. That would have been the Sega Dreamcast. Anyway, i wouldn't used any money on the old consoles, instead save the money to a PS3 that i belive you have a wish to own. Of course the work might be needed. But the same deal is for the Game Cube. Might be cheap, but it's money to spend on something that wont last to long. If not bought for the entertainment value that is. Then it's another matter of cause. |

If you want something for the longer haul then you want the Wii, but the GC has a nice size library, but with how Gamestops are going, they are trying to get rid of GC games. Mine only has like 20 or 30 games left and aren't getting more in, since the GC is a dead system. Ebay is your best bet for GC games. Ebay or a pawn shop, but those arent the best quality usually. Now hold NES and Atari games and the such. The Pawnshop is OLD GAME HEAVEN. |
|
I'm a gamer and always will be a gamer. If you don't believe me. I have 430 Video Games and 19 Consoles. I doubt you could beat that unless you are a gamer as well! =P So, let's see if you can outdo "The Jet Gamer"

Get a Wii. Thats my advice. Wiis are backwards compatable and not only do you achieve your GC dream, but you go next gen at the same time! Think about it! |

Yeah, I say Wii too. It's like two systems for the price of one. But if you're not interested in Wii titles, GC may be better.

Where I brought everything I needed for my dreamcast...
Since the Wii can play GC games, you should be able to play SADX on the Wii. Truth be told, Neo Metallix. I rather for you to go for a Wii - If you can find it-. That way, you kill two birds with one stone. But if ya want a GC, I would try to get it from Amazon. I have brought alot of games - and a system- and it has yet to fail me. ~Oro Edited by A.C.193, Jun 23 2008, 09:32 AM.
