If you're gonna recolor, just go by what's already there, like the shading. Use different shades for the shades that are there (like if you have a a40000 colored pixel and you want to make it blue, change all the a40000 pixels to 0023a4).

You just need to learn shading is all. I really don't care who you're imitating, nor do I know why you'd imitate his behavior of all people. Breaking the rules isn't okay just because you want to play around all the damn time. Another critique like the one in your first post, and it's an automatic warn. No exceptions. ~ Bliz.

You aren't horrible for a start, you just need practice, annndd... to learn what shading is. I'm not all that great of a spriter myself, but there are still artistic pointers I can give.
