I prefer the original Sonic series over this game. It was ok, but it just wasn't my favorite. It brought a new feel to the series, but the game's levels weren't all spectacular... I'm just one that prefers the original series I guess.

I play both on my PC from time to time... 3D Blast > CD I hate feeling so sluggish as the fastest thing on 2 legs. Felt like a really REALLY low standard.

D<	There aren't three versions of each level. There are four. Personally, I liked Sonic CD. The time travel in this game, unlike in '06, was pretty neat. You can go to the past and save the future... Or you can skip going to the past and just go straight through the levels in the present, or you can go to another time. The four different versions each have a different layout and color scheme, and pretty much everything changes. The past is often bright and rural, while the darker future tends to be... Well, dark. And mechanical. Then there's the good future, which is bright and happy. The present is just... Present, yanno. The slower Sonic, of course, wasn't wonderful. And Sonic's sprites were pretty much taken from Sonic 1. But then, all games have their ups and downs. Oh yeah, I completed the entire game. Let me just say... Metal Sonic running head-on into a wall... Is awesome. D:

I like how the stages for the future were done. I love how you could charge his speed with his feet -Nothing wrong with the spin Dash, but I believe it's overused-. And I love the way they put it into an anime style -If only I could find the art work on this game-. I think he was slow because your SUPPOSED to take it slow and try to get good future on all levels and try to get all the stones, i like exploring the whole level, i like how i can play a game like that with sonic style movement, game play ect. Since i got a European ROM, cause I'm from England and always get English stuff so its definitely compatible with my comp ( don't see how ROM's and emulators would be effected but... ), my sonic cd didn't have sonic boom on it, so i made a hack ROM with sonic boom in the European version...
