After some serious detective work and getting smashed doing the 24 Drinking Game (with ginger ale). I've to an earthshaking conclusion. Shadow the Hedgehog is really Jack Bauer. We start in the beginning. Season 1. Jack lost his wife Teri to a mole within CTU. Years later after volunteering to become Shadow, he loses Maria Robotnik. Season 3, Jack has to kill his boss, Ryan Chappelle. Shadow always comes close to capping Sonic but keeps seeing Chappelle's pleading face and always relents. Jack Bauer always busts out of whatever they cage him in. He's been in prison, he's been put into an airport hostage situation, kidnapped by Chinese intelligence and also escaping from a brutal terrorist interrogation. Applying this knowledge, this is why no one's been able to capture Shadow. Jack once had Audrey Raines to nearly replace his wife. That went down south. This is why Shadow doesn't pick up on Rouge, Amy and so on. Both have crooked family members. Jack thought he had it bad enough when his father and his brother turned out to be terrorists, but Jesus Christ, now he has to put up with an off-the-wall cousin? (Eggman) Jack used to be under a 24 hour time constraint for saving the world. Now with his rocket skates and the Chaos Emeralds, he's no longer under this restriction. Forget Protocol! Jack started out in LAPD as a SWAT team member, then he was in Delta Force, and then he was CIA and then he was CTU and finally he was attached to the FBI for a bit. Now he's being asked to join G.U.N. That ain't going to happen. Shadow/Jack's had enough of these alphabet soup agencies. Both yell and also whisper a lot. When have we noticed one or the other eating, drinking or taking nature's course? (Jack going vampire on the terrorist in Season 6 does not count) Both receive a lot of music video tributes on YouTube. So there you go folks. Tails isn't the only one with a quotation in his full name. You have Jack "Shadow" Bauer now.
