Vote for McCain, because he's white!

It's funny how I would be jumped by the parasites of society if I made this claim to the mass public, yet people have no problem with people saying voting for Obama because he is black. I've heard many racist comments by people saying "Obama should win, we need a black president"... Well isn't that just as bad as saying McCain should win because we need a white president? Well not to society, but isn't the double standard humorous? Just food for thought.

We should be judged by the content of our character and not the color of our skin.

Also a double standard with Hilary. People voted for her just because she was a woman. If I said "I'm voting for Obama, because he's a man" I would be char broiled by most people, yet it's ok to vote for someone because they are a woman.

*Please note this is not about politics, it is about double standards.

No. Its because, by electing Obama as a president would prove the disaperance of racail discrimination, and thus showing that america has developed as a country.
If to say, you can't accept a black president, then it show that people are still living like they were in the days before the civil rights movement and Martin Luther King

Actually, ignoring the fact that he's black and voting for whoever you think is going to run the country most efficiently would prove the disappearance of racial discrimination.

I still can't use this.

^ Indeed. In a perfect world, Obama's victory or defeat should not carry any type of stigma regarding the mentality of the populous because of how they voted. They would be doing it because of how they perceived he was suited to the job, not because of his skin color (or religious preferences as some of you have made light of <<+).

In regards to the overall subject, we obviously don't live in a perfect world. We live in a world where society is heavily class driven and still contains barriers and ceilings regarding the minorities of this country. As a result, it remains easy to make cases regarding racial, gender, or religious discrimination and allow double standards to be so rampant today. It's not right at all, but it still is a sad reverberation of the truth.

I agree somewhat. I would love to see a black man or woman ( Or a black woman) as commander and chief but ONLY if they could do the job well.
If they can't than vote for someone who CAN do the job despite race or sex.
Annoy me and i'll bite your head off.

Christmas is back again

I tend only to say. As long Bush is changed then i leave anyone suiting more their place in glory years ahead making sure USA get back a good ruler, and not just a war minded president. Even if he had his reasons to act against Iraq. I would like to see Obama as a president though. Could be a new experience for the people. Would they acept it. I tend to leave we are all humans. We shouldn't discriminate anyone for their color. Those who tend to use the law into their advantage would be taken as a bad ruler. Just my thought's.

I don't think it matters what race people are. People are all alike genetically by 99.9 %.

There is no such thing as race, so everyone is just a human.

To Clarify... Bush had NO reason to attack Iraq. Our enemy was in Afghanistan, and still is. Bush used Terrorism as means to spread into Iraq just to finish off the war his daddy couldn't when my mom and dad were in the Navy.

Honestly, America will always have racial problems, There are hard line old Americans.. very prominent in the south, that would never accept a woman, a black, or anyone other than a white male no matter how good that candidate is. I like the Democrats we have going up for Hillary's experience and Obama's fresh style of things.. BUT the likeliness of some extremist assassinating either or both of them in this country is sadly really high. Upon election, the McCain supporters would begin to protest/ riot/ any of the above. (only the extreme ones mind you.) Groups who have been held down over the years, the KKK and Neo-Nazis of America would again pop up from next to being dead and begin moving more actively.. You get where I'm going with this.

Some of us would wish people could accept a candidate outside of the status quoue, but that is a long long pipe dream that I doubt we could ever achieve within my lifetime.
