Day of Silence Boycott

 For those who don't know: The Day of Silence is a day in which gay, lesbian, transsexual and whoever else wants to participate do not speak to bring attention to the harrassment and abuse so many of them recieve.

What is the difference between a duck?

 Well I have a friend who just told me today that he will be doing it. Its his choice but I doubt that theres any way I could be silent for a day even if I wanted to.

and when it comes to homosexuality I take the neutral stance on it, I believe its a choice where people who want to do that sort of thing should be able to be together, its not like it is hurting me, and its not like we are having a shortage of straight people willing to stop us from having no offspring.. But I also respect the beliefs of people who disagree with it, and they also have that right. As long as they don't get too extreme with "anti-gay/ lesbian" actions I'm fine with them voicing their opinions since everyones words should be heard in my view.

I'm not gay, and its not my thing so I will never be. But just because its not something I would do doesn't mean I think it should be eradicated, I dislike people who want people to conform to their own fabric of society by using leverage and power to make it so that with those who are interested in the same gender are unable to make their own decisions, its like the politicians are parenting them and giving them restrictions and guidelines beyond that of normal societal averages.. more like "guiding" them as they probably see it. That is why I believe that the ONE true sane state in the matter is Massachusetts, the lone state out of all 50 to legalize gay marriage.

Opinions on matters are ok, Its just when people take it too far that things start to get out of hand and in turn festers annoyance and anger in the system. Just like the old line "Hate breeds hate."

At the link you can read the instance of it being taken too far. This particular day of silence is being held in honor of an 8th grader shot was shot and killed by a classmate just because of him being what he wanted to be. That proves that society is in the gutter, no one here could say that that action was necessary. It was much more than WAY over the line.
