Wow, I just started playing this game again today it has been awhile since I have played it. Man, I forgot how good this game was! I'm enjoying it more than Sonic Adventure 2.... Maybe it's because I've played that game to death? Whatever. What's your opinion on Sonic Heroes? A revival of the series or a flop?

its a pretty good game. i saw G4's Judgement Day gave it 5/10, or something like it, though.

I don't really think G4's a good source for reviews. Gamespot game it an 8.8 or something like that. I know it was in the 8's. What I like about it is the long levels and the speed. SA and SA2 levels are freakishly short. :D

I was thinking.... What is your favorite part of Sonic Heroes? Well mine would be the nostalgia from Casino Park. Reminds me of Sonic 2 and they did a good job of designing the level.

Don't tell me what I can or can't do!

Spiolers! My favorite part of the game would be at the end of mystic mainsion where each formation has to do something in each world. This is at the end of Team Sonic and Team Dark's mystic mainsion. End Spiolers. It's my favorite game too!

Pacfan has left the building. There will be no return from me either.
(Dubbmatic is my come and go account, as for this one, I want it to remain inactive, it symbolizes my solidified stay at Sonic Blast. To use it now puts it to shame)

*UPDATE: I have returned my name back to it's original form that most of you had come to know me by. It seemed more fitting.*

Good bye to any and all!

Well you can't play it and hate it, you gotta be neutral before you play it and you should beat it just because you haven't..

I don't like Sonic Heroes at all. I think from this point is where most 3D Sonic games suck, exept Sonic Riders. The camara and controls are so sloppy. And the story, themes, and extras when bad. I would prefer the graphics that SADX had on this game really. Plus Shadow's revival was really bad made, as well as other parts in the game. It's just not my type of game, i would atleast give it a 5.0 out of 10. The game is pretty over-rated. It left a sour taste for those fans who where always there, and a sweet taste for those newer fans, or just normal people (Or fans) that didn't find it bad. I just don't like it, i swear Sonic Team is getting worser every day. I just hope it dosen't happen with SONIC the hedgehog *Crosses fingers*.

I was always there and I liked it. Atleast you didn't have to hunt for emeralds, run around in a robot, fish, or be slow Amy. Sonic Adventure 1/2 were only fun on Sonic levels, imo. Or tails when he wasn't in his mech thing. Shadow, I'd have to agree was bad. I never had a problem with the camera. I never noticed any problems.

Master of The Super Emeralds.
Exactly... Giant Mechs, Emerald Hunts, fishing, and Amy, perfect reasons for the flaws in early installments.

And yes, I too have always been there, so your theory leaves alot to be desired General Jelly.

I happen to think people judge Sonic Heroes too harshly. The level designs were vibrant and beutiful. Well, some. the Casino Zone, the Metropolis Zone, and the first part of the Jungle zone I think needed some work. But all the rest are masterpieces. I mean, they had a haunted mansion, you don't see that everday in Sonic games. Egg Fleet was a wonderful level that resembled the Winged Fotress in Sonic The Hedgehog 2. The Final Fotrtess I would have to say is the grand masterpiece of all Sonic levels, well, that and the Death Egg. All in all, the designs had their flaws, but they had their strengths as well.

It went back to it's roots when it comes to levels too in the sense that your running to the goal again too. It's end surpise was great. Who would have guessed that Metal Sonic was behind all of this. The Egg Emperor was a fight to remember. The Super Sonic final fight was something new and interesting, instead of Sonic for once as usual -_-

It's new concept of multiple partners in one game was a cool element at best. And though the graphics were downplayed in other areas, some, like the springs for example, were greatly improved.

And lets not forget that you can once again collect the Chaos Emeralds. It's a classic gamers dream come true. Finally, once again we can go to special stages again and get the Chaos Emeralds. I'd say those who have always been there would like that.

As for SADX, those graphics were an improvement on DreamCast, Sonic Heroes was a direct nex gen. SADX obvious pales to comparison to this game. Maybe the sprites have their advantages, but so do the sprites in Sonic Heroes. Need I remind you Dr. Robotnick talked without his mouth moving at all in SADX.

And yes, the storyline was vague at best in Sonic Heroes, but at leas they had some kind of plot, unlike Riders, where at the end you fight a Genie in which you can't lose against. They did what they could with a vague storyline and did well. Also, need I remind everyone that Sonic games originally DID have storylines like this. Sonic The Hedgehog 1 for example. Once again, it goes back to it's roots when it adpots this kind of element.

Also, the frames per second were 60 in Sonc Heroes. A new breakthrough for Sega. Sonic could now run faster then he could ever run in the older Sonic games. The loops, the speed, it was exilerating.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle had it's strong points against Heroes as well. Though slow moving mechs aren't the most fun, it's something different and interesting. And yes, the treasure hunting seems a bit stupid, but once again, something new they were doing and it had it's interesting moments, lets not forget Death Chamber. How can I? It's my favorite level in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

And unlike Sonic Heroes, yes, it's frames per second is more slow, but your not constantly stopping like in Sonic Heroes, so your sense of speed is increased in that area. Yes, I know some levels can be dull, like Prison Island, but at least it lacks levels like Casino Park.

And indeed, it's graphics pale in comparison in some areas, but greatly increased in others. The shadowing is perfect, the way Pyramid Cave and Death Chamber were done was mastering.

And the ending was indeeed cool. Super Sonic in space again, just where he belongs.
Reminds me of Doomsday slightly.

And the storyline was deep and compelling... that is self explanatory, I needn't explain the storyline. Good VS Evil, fight on both sides of the story. A neat new concept.

of course, both Heroes and Battle held the flaw of clones as usual.

What I am trying to sum up is, both Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Sonic Heroes are need for celebration, I am pretty much bored with SA2 Battle myself, but they both should be celebrated.

Oh and Sonic The Hedgehog Next Gen could very well be eye candy. DBZ Tenkaichi was like that. It looked nice, but one could not judge it by first appearence.

It looks cool, but will it pull it off? Can yet ANOTHER Adventure series pull it off? One can only hope, and one can only speculate.

I loved Sonic heroes because the characters changed Amy look more grown up, Rouge also had a new outfit. Also Sonic looked more real and 3D.

Hyper Sonic, that's all true! Except my SH doesn't go 60 frames per seconds, because I have the PS2 version. :( Besides my T.V. can only display 30 fames a second. lol
