"Sonic Unleashed" has been filed for Trademark. Could this be the rumored next gen Sonic since November 2007? Lookey here: http://www.sonicstadium.org/sonicnews/435/ |

Big the Cat is chasing Froggy, that has a logical point? Nothing against Big, I like him, but he really has no valid point at all. I do like new ideas, just not the way Sonic Team is making the new ideas, or I just don't like the ideas to this game. I have to admit it's better than same-old same-old Mario, to that I give credit, but as far as I'm concerned the story looks out of tune, that's all. So far it LOOKS out of tune and I don't like the ideas Sonic Team has been giving. And I never liked the idea of people in SA2. That's one thing I disliked about the game. Solely one thing. And Biolizard looked more like a mechanical spaceship type lizard to me, not a real lizard. |

So far you know that there will be a creature and some sort of "were wolf" thing that you don't even know is Sonic turning into it or not. I'd say you are drawing conclusions with a broken crayon. I'm not saying it's bad to dislike their ideas, but it would make more sense once we know a thing or two about the actual game. |

Froggy is Big's pet, and as such holds prime importance in Big's life as one of his closest friends. He also showcases Big's sheer bravery, courage, and other good qualities that come when a character who doesn't like adventure forces himself into it for the sake of his friend's welfare. Plus, both times that Froggy appeared, he inadvertently aided the villains in reaching their true form. So yes, Big and Froggy hold some importance.
I'm not against you because you don't like the ideas, but because beforehand, you've stated time and time again that certain ideas didn't "fit" without logically explaining why they don't to us, and again, it makes you out to be arrogant when you say without objective explanation what does and doesn't belong when you don't even work at Sega in the first place and thus have no credibility to tell us such things. Also, regarding the plot: how can you possibly judge the story when no one knows anything about it at all? All we know about the game is that it exists and the things in the screenshots and video are in there at this stage in development. That's it.
I never did mention the people in SA2 at all. ![]() And Biolizard may have fused with it, but that does not make it robotic. It's nothing more than a freakish lizard. |

Well, the pic clearly shows a shadow next to Sonic in werewolf form. I'm assuming that's Sonic's transformation at midnight. And it was Neo Metallix that mentioned the people in SA2, BlizShadow. I've just learned medieval stuff does not fit into the Sonic equation from what I feel anyway. Maybe I just dislike the idea, but when I see this new Sonic game, I don't know why, I just don't think Sonic of it. |

Ok, I thought I'd be done with you, but I can't seem to stay away. IT'S JUST A PICTURE. It can mean anything. It can't mean one thing. It can mean anything. It could be wolf in gameplay. Or wolf in cutscenes only. We don't know yet! We only know Werewolf has something to do with the game. That's all! |

Well, I know this isn't a "valid" source, but Wikipedia says the werewolf is a playable character: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic_Unleashed And most of the stuff is usually accurate from wiki, at least the important stuff I find. Don't mean to be a pest, I'm just annoyed st Sonic Team for what could be another failure to come. I was waiting for the next big hit to get a new system, now I may not want it. Not to be rude, but is that not a clear picture of Sonic next to his own form of a werewolf? |

Wikipedia isn't reliable at all! Anybody can just go in and edit it! Yes, it is a clear picture. But all we can get is that Werewolf has something to do with the game as a whole. Not the story, the gameplay, or anything. |

Well, then obviously it's a big idea or part in the story. I'm not up for this to be included if it doesn't fit the criteria or if Sonic turns into this. Even if he turns into it and it has to do with the story, I don't like the idea. It just doesn't seem promising to me like it fits in the game well. |

You don't know if it'll not fit well in the game. No one has played it yet. Try it out and then you can say it doesn't fit in well with the game. Which obviously, no one can prove that because no one has tried it or know anything about it besides with the screens and video. |

Of course you don't. The ideas are new. You also can't really say the idea won't fit into this specific game when you have no idea what the game is about.
Wikipedia is not reliable in this instance because everything you think you know about the story and the werewolf's role, has been debunked by more credible Sega sources, the link of which was in this very thread.
And what do you mean in terms of failure? Gameplay wise or story wise? Gameplay wise, the game has opened to very strong impressions.. And since we don't know anything about the story, weeeellll..... [PS: Riders, while Wikipedia can be edited, all information is required to have a source and even tells one about the state of an article's accuracy. The site also has a purging system for information that is incorrect or is just spam. So remember: Wikipedia isn't so much a problem as the people who misuse or misinterpret it. ^^;;] |

Still. False info can be up there for awhile. And any person who trusts Wikipedia ALOT will go on and believe it if it doesn't link to a good source. I once saw this page that was SPAMMED. And it was not edited back instantly like people think it is. |

So you're saying the werewolf thing isn't true? I keep on hearing contradicting statements. By failure, I meant the story. And by what I've seen from STH06, I was not impressed by the story and I have not even played the game (just seen videos). The story looked like an epic game that Sonic Team tried to push through and make "better" than any other game, when they should have just relaxed and made an original Sonic game like ones in the past. I don't want Unleashed to be like this... and so far it's looking towards that way. Even the names mentioned on Wikipedia (if they are true which I think they are because I've seen them from another source) are cheesy. STH06 was not a failure just because of its gameplay (and that part I can't say because I haven't played it), it's story was pretty bad. Sonic and epic stories don't work. Sonic and the original stories he's used to like in Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 do. We don't need this werewolf stuff in Unleashed, reminds me of the human princess in 06 which was a Mario-copy rip-off story and a failure. |

The werewolf exists, and that's all that's been confirmed.
Uhh, Adventure 1 and 2 contain epic stories which have proven to work. And frankly, Sonic's stories have contained the epic sense of urgency since the original Genesis days. They may not have been as narrated as they are now, but they've always been more involving than a lot of other platforming series.
We technically don't need anything in the games other than Sonic and Eggman facing off against each other, and that's it. And yes, Mario totally originated the concept of damsels-in-distress and princesses-- Oh, wait. Okay, at this point, you're being way too condescending about the whole thing, and even in all of your posts you've made trying feebly to defend yourself, you still haven't indicated why these things "don't fit" other than you just don't like the ideas simply because they are new. After all of this, I've come to accept you as nothing more than your usual conservative fan who cannot give things any semblance of a chance and arrogantly believes that Sega's property-- not yours-- should be molded by your own will. |

Going by that logic, one could assume Shadow is Sonic's evil form if they know nothing about SA2. |
