Yeah eggman it's more easier to say even though eggman was called robotnik cuz he made robots. |

Dr. Robotnik. Atleast that sounds like he's smart. Eggman just makes him sound weak. Kinda like his role in recent games where he wasn't the main boss. |

No, because robotnik means he builds robots... Doesn't have to reflect his look. Eggman just sounds wimpy and the doctor part makes him sound smart like he knows how to build good robots. Eggman imo is not a good villain name and besides he's watered down now. He's usually not the main villain and is always weak. |

My thoughts are that I perfer Dr. Robotnik because that's what I grew up calling him. Not that it counts towards this debate, I just thought I'd add my two cents.

I agree, Eggman suonds like he can be cracked easily . . Pretty lame if you ask me. Robotnik just sounds better. |

Well,Eggman is the name in the games, whereas Robotnik is what he's called in the comics. But I think he was called Robotnik because in the comics he was originally a cyborg(half machine, half human). |

I remeber in the Sonic the Hedgehog manual (original SEGA Genesis game English version) his name was listed as Dr. Ivo Robotnik if I remember correctly. |

that's right. So that might pove that Robotnik was his original name(since the games came first). And from what I know, Eggman is his nickname, and robotnik is his last name(remember SA2B? Remember Gerald Robotnik?) So I think Robotnik makes more sense since that's his official name. |

I liked it when Robotnik was the main villan. I don't like the new battles where going Super Sonic is always a MUST. I liked the good ol' days when Eggman always had his Death Egg and going Super Sonic was optional. |

Yeah, that's what sucks about the current-gen games, Eggman bosses were so much harder back then.(off-topic) And you actually had to try to collect all the emeralds. Robotnik, definitely. |
