Who I'll be, nobody knows!

It was entirely inevitable. Bliz has her own fan character menagerie too because she's a conformist like the rest of the Sonic fandom. Hopefully, I will make up for my shameful, bandwagoning ways by saying that this profile for show is approx. 7800 words/37000 characters long..... Have fun reading, kids, and criticize to death if necessary. I'll even give out more popcorn if you can get through the entire thing. <3

== I. Basic Information==

Full Name: Claudio Pascal

Alias: Claude, Mr. Pascal, "El"

Gender: Male

Species: Superb Lyrebird (Menura novaehollandiae)

Alignment: Chaotic Good

  • "... Known as the "Beautific" or "Rebel" alignment. A chaotic good character favors change for the greater good, disdains bureaucratic organizations that get in the way of social improvement, and places a high value on personal freedom."
Universe of Origin: SEGASonic

Place of Origin/Residence: A small, quaint suburban area just outside of Station Square

Occupation: N/A

Organization/Group/Team: N/A

Socioeconomic Status: Central middle class rebel

Reputations: Claudio is revered as much as he is loathed due to his sharp mouth and self-gained status as "the" trickster; always getting his way and never having suffered the consequences of a double whammy from his own pranks, much less the original jokes of others. Also of major relevance is the infinitely happy air he keeps around himself. Even the slightest hint of depression present on his person has been enough to invoke empathy in those who would rather do away with him.

== II. Physical Information==

Height: 3 ft. 9 in. (114.3 cm)

Weight: 77 lbs. (34.9 kg)

Current Age: 17

Birth Date: April 17

  • Aries: An Aries tends to be active, adventurous, and outgoing. They can easily stand up for themselves and possess unbridled independence and assertion. This is probably to counter the fact that their naivety and innocence will usually lead them into trouble.
Physical Appearance: Although technically a songbird, Claudio appears to be a raptor with his sharp, hawk-like beak and the crest of feathers that runs up the center of his head. The largest feather curves slightly upwards. On the top corner of his eyes rests a small tuft of after-feather. This fluff runs down the sides of his eyes and flays out upon reaching his beak, almost like the face fur on a fox. His tail also serves as another oddity. He has one set of five white feathers that are fan-like. Under this rises a pair of longer tail feathers that are kept curved around and are decorated with smaller bands throughout. The overall color of his coat is a dark periwinkle with a white belly, outline around his face, and the lower half of his limbs. His tail feathers are mostly orange with a cream underside-- same color as the beak-- and the bands on them remain black.

Body Structure: Claudio is blessed with the general physical qualities of the average anthropomorph: long limbs, a stout body, large hands and feet, and an especially big head. The biggest defining difference in his anatomy would be that he has longer legs in comparison to most other characters his size out there; a tribute to his species and overall swiftness.

Attire: The bird dons very little. A pair of rolled-up khaki shorts rest on the waist and a green bandanna around the neck. His gloves (see more info in Weaponry) are predominantly white with a green band that encircles the base of the thumb. Green spots appear on the knuckles with stitched lines in the top of them that run parallel to his hand. Large black dress shoes are found on his feet and topped off with white spats.

Gear and Accessories:

  • Goggles: The lenses on these goggles are able to emit an invisible parallel, or collimated, light source that immediately becomes distorted from the interference of sound waves. Such distortions paint a picture of various sounds around Claudio and allow him better accuracy when performing certain maneuvers. (See more info in Abilities)

  • Chain: He possesses a small silver chain with one quarter and eighth note charm each, given to him by his grandfather. Although he can't wear it, he obsesses over it and always keeps it close....
Vehicles: N/A

== III. Mental Information ==

Intelligence: This bird brain is a notably intelligent character; observational, literate, and bright enough to pick up on many concepts with admirable ease. Despite this, he is not entirely scholarly nor retains interest in any lengthy academic endeavors. His grand knowledge of current events, pop culture, and quickly referenced one-liners are where his intellectual prowess mainly lies. Claudio also retains an accurate, almost otherworldly sensitiveness when dealing with the emotions and motives of other people, however minute the signals of those emotions may be, and he knows very well he can prey on people with this gift.

Personality: Claudio is on the surface a light-hearted screwball stranded within a darker modern world. He's a notable jokester-- completely able to take quick shots at anything. He is also possessed of a never-ending reservoir of youthful hyperactivity that can wear out even the most enduring. This energy also lends itself in hand to his infinite sense of wonderment about the world and his love of people, as well as his romantic tendencies towards the ladies on the street. Going back in regards to his stand up, the bird never aims to be hurtful to his subject matter, regarding himself as a down-to-earth social commentator who exists to remind others of the bright side. And this applies to the point of obliviousness in certain situations. Unfortunately, this intention is lost on others who lack any understanding of his sense of humor and their bad attitudes can unearth a multitude of faults in him.

Above all else, Claude cannot stand to see people being antagonized to any degree, and this hate is multiplied when authority is involved. He will always stick his feathers into other's arguments to stand up for the little guy, even if his business isn't actually necessary. Being burdened with a fast beak and a short temper usually complicates his problems further and it takes a strong, influential figure to even begin to remotely quell him when faced with such conflict. Ironically, for one of such a high morale, Claude can actually be quite merciless and even sadistic to his adversaries when given the chance; usually through a series of quick blows and traps he creates on the spot. He only respects those who give it, and will take an "end justifies the means" stance when people try to wrong him. He is also not a fan of indirectness and prefers to take things at face value.

But even with all of his obvious flaws, he makes an effort to keep them hidden; constantly endowed with a smile and that quirky sense of humor. This facade is surely put to the test when he is struck with tragedy or any serious situation in which he may be unfairly tossed on his own. But because he knows pain himself, he would rather not others feel sorry for him and will be quick to downplay any degree of personal emotional turmoil. This has been accredited to as nothing but sheer arrogance, but he takes such comments in stride and believes everyone to be better off because of it. It is one of the reasons that he has quickly learned to bounce back from whatever blows life throws his way. He knows he can't be depressed about anything for too long, for depression is just troublesome weight on the shoulders. Claudio loves life too much for anything to hold him down, and he still has that endless list of things he needs to accomplish before he dies.

Hobbies and Interests:

  • Claudio has created a habit out of excessively messing with those who are too stupid to catch him, calling these confrontations his "playtime." Taking the high road, he will only do so if the person happens to start the conflict. But afterwards, it's a field day until the cycle starts all over again tomorrow.

  • When he doesn't feel like confronting his rivals or has found himself outmatched, Claudio employs some natural Parkour maneuvers he learned from his various chases. He'll also perform both Parkour and free running if he's bored, has found a challenging obstacle to scale, or just wants a view of the Station Square skyline.

  • He has a considerable cultural depth to his soul. Claudio reads many plays and watches musicals, even performing comedic bits whenever bored. Claude can even tap dance a little as well as perform the hottest thing on the street and also shares this love with his comrades. He has also set about to gathering an endless mental listing of pop culture references from home and abroad.
Likes:

  • Obviously, Claudio is one of music's biggest fans. Although he is quite partial to classical jazz, he would have a very difficult time deducing a favorite genre.

  • The bird is very curious, tending to fantasize about where his exploration will take him and just going for it. Ergo, he loves sniffing about any place he deems worthy and taking any random or practically useless piece of knowledge with him.

  • Claudio loves Reese's cups and any other similar confectionery, and will claim that one could live off of them forever. He certainly wouldn't mind trying to prove it.

  • Claude adores children and pets; always proving to be a popular role model and buddy for them to tag along with.
Dislikes:

  • Claudio is a borderline sedatephobic, or burdened with a fear of silence. Awkward and long periods of quiet unnerve him and are not even permissible when he sleeps.

  • While he likes to immerse himself in sound, there are two particular noises that he can't stand: the door bell and a ringing telephone, as acting upon them usually means hours of annoyance are sure to follow.

  • Politics is something Claudio cannot take. Being naturally adversed to authority and the corrupt ways of current governmental forms, he doesn't entirely trust the system. He has already even decided that he won't ever vote.

  • Although he isn't dumb, Claude could live without lengthy, obnoxious explanations about the various questions he asks (or just long speeches in general). The less technical jargon, the better.

== IV. Combat Ability ==

Physical Advantages:

  • Claudio is light and excessively quick on his feet, making himself hard to hit. His acrobatic skills and endurance only make pinning a blow on him that much harder.

  • Being a lyrebird, he is a first-class "audikinetic". Due to an especially complex syrinx, he can naturally sound like anything ranging from other animals to people to machinery. He is also able to physically manipulate existing sounds in various ways. (See Abilities below.)
Mental Advantages (in combat):

  • Claudio is naturally talented at predicting the moves of an opponent during battle, and has been victorious solely by dodging and allowing his opponent to wear themselves down.

  • He is exceptional at observing his surroundings and using them for exploitation, usually for getting himself out of an enemy's range.

  • If at the end of his rope, he's been known to use mind games by reaching at a person's better nature. He can put on an act to invoke sympathy or find some type of middle ground that will allow the person to spare him... at least long enough for him to make a quick getaway.
Physical Disadvantages:

  • The bird is certainly not a brawler. His physical strength and pain threshold is not exactly up to par with his speed, and one well-placed blow is enough to put the bird down for the count.

  • In terms of his actual powers, his offensive repertoire is dangerously lacking with only one move; one that is hardly effective in heated, close-range battles, no less.
Mental Disadvantages:

  • Being one who has been excessively victorious before, he can be undone with his own arrogance. The slightest hint of losing an easy fight can blind Claudio with anger, leading to more careless calculations.

  • Claudio just does not know when to stop talking sometimes. Being that he can be a bit too down-to-earth, he can actually speed up his own demise whenever cornered.
Weaponry:

  • Gloves: These gloves are endowed with a circular device embedded within the palm that is similar to a subwoofer. In a somewhat biomechanical nature, these are able to receive nerve signals from a person's thoughts, further amplified with the use of hand signals. Using these signals, they send out excessively controlled vibrations in the air that can control sound. This comes at price as extended or excessive use of them will cause the nerve endings and muscles in the hand to spasm and deteriorate, leading to severe pain and sometimes bleeding. General exhaustion will also result.

  • Tails: Although they're really nothing more than feathers, Claudio's two orange tail feathers are remarkably prehensile and tough. They're capable of grabbing items as well as clubbing enemies with unexpected strength. And with their motions being so reflexive and smooth, one might believe they have life of their own.
Abilities: As aforementioned, Claudio is an audikinetic. As well as being naturally talented in the ability to mimic nearly every sound with his own voice, he has several other special abilities that make prominent use of his gloves (See Weaponry above.) His repertoire is as follows:

  • Redirection: Claudio is able to take control of a sound currently traveling through the air, even his own, and redirect it to any place he deems fit which is usually towards his own ears. Because he usually isn't too close to his victim, the sound will be allowed to travel out in its normal trajectory before being hijacked, and thus the speaker or noise maker will have trouble noticing.

  • Repetition: Recreating the exact crests and troughs in sound waves, Claudio can essentially make a person speak as a broken record. This is useful for exposing something not intended to be told to others or to better hear a certain piece of conversation if he's having trouble listening.

  • Acceleration: If a sound is currently in his grasp, Claudio can actually shorten or increase the duration by manipulating the vibration rate, respectively raising and lowering the pitch and speed. It is a good defensive measure against letting information from close-quartered conversationalists take place as well as an interesting scare tactic.

  • Desolation: Claudio blocks all of the natural ambiance from entering a certain area by creating an essential "storm eye" where molecules are forced to remain still. Because of the amount of concentration and effort this requires, the size of said vortex usually only constitutes the personal space around his victim. He must also move with said victim to prevent them from stepping out of his range. This is the perfect ability for staged ambushes.

  • Destruction: His main attack. Claudio can hold a rapidly vibrating group of molecules in place that, when released, throws out a burst of sound in the appearance of a rapidly spinning blue ball. Depending on the time charged, this maneuver can theoretically cause anything from a light thump on the person's body to full-scale, sonic-boom destruction and death. The latter result has never been achieved due to Claudio lacking the endurance and pain tolerance required to charge up the vibrations for that long.

Since it is his only means of offense, he is able to combine it with the rest of his maneuvers to produce different effects. For example, using Acceleration partnered with this attack and allow him to throw a high-pitched burst of sound into his opponent's ear, potentially causing more damage, or if he finds that he has missed with a potentially significant blast, he can Redirect it back around for the chance at another finishing blow.
The effectiveness of all of these moves, excluding Destruction, is determined by the acoustical value of the area. The worse it is, the more the sound will be diluted. He can counter this with increased effort on his part and theoretically recover the sound's true value, but eventually it can become too strenuous and even painful on his part. Moving is another solution, but he risks giving away his position and even losing his grip on the sound. Finding a perfect balance between good acoustics and good cover always proves difficult. Another weakness of the gloves constitutes the fact that his abilities have the potential to backfire if a sound he is altering is headed in his direction from a miscalculation. Destruction blasts are also rarely an option at close range.

== V. History==

Family:

  • Scott Pascal, age 49: Claudio's father. He is quite religious and conservative to the point of unrivaled, smothering stubbornness about current matters of today. Ergo, he is the inadvertent source of a lot of head-butting between his more open-minded son. But like any good father, Scott wishes the best for Claudio and all of his life endeavors, whether or not he agrees with his trouble-making ways.

  • Mae Pascal, age 47: Claudio's mother. She is a doting, upbeat, and sometimes innocent to the point of obliviousness about the world around her and what people sometimes think of her; the perfect antithesis to Scott. But like all mothers, her need to protect her "favorite egg" can turn her around into a surprisingly strong and intelligent individual and a true force to be reckoned with.

  • Lillian Pascal, age 27: Claudio's sister; a typical diva, but hardly a dumb valley girl. She has a excellent common sense, displays positive values about herself, and excels at academic endeavors much better than Claudio cares to. Like all siblings, she frequently argues with her "twerpy brother," usually out of her need to see him well. During these conflicts, she usually asserts her age to gain an advantage.

  • William Pascal, deceased: Claudio's paternal grandfather. He admired the boy's spirit due to the lack of it in his own son. He always spent time with him, their meetings together highlighted by sharing stories, furthering the boy's love of music and dance, and feeding him candy. But most importantly, William instilled inside of Claudio a well-rounded heart of gold and lifelong advice.
Friends:

  • Ryoko Tlus, age 19: Claudio's feline girlfriend, whom he had latched onto and been infatuated with for years, but finally gathered up the courage to confront her that one time and make her day. Like most others, she is a lot more calm and mature than the eccentric bird, traits further reinforced by a highly marred past, but she has finally come to trust and accept Claude in all of his weirdness. (Ryoko Tlus is © LuigiTE2006)

  • Leon Stalling, age 17: One of Claudio's more notable pals. This bandicoot is popular, but not quite as popular as Claude, ergo harboring quite the case of jealousy. But ironically, his association with Claude feeds his need to be cool which makes him dependent on him. The bird knows this, but never admits it for fear of hurting his ego. After all, his occasional outbursts and use of the nickname "El" amuse him.

  • Roxy McDaniel, age 15: Another friend who constantly sticks close to Claudio's side because of her undeniable cuteness, humbleness, and shy nature. The possum's naivety also amused Claudio, not counting her stuttering when involved in stressful situations. As a result, Claudio's decided to take her under his wing and teach her how to regain confidence. She is slowly growing into herself as an intelligent individual.
Enemies:

  • Alan Eisel, deceased: A party-colored dingo; Samuel's father and a greedy, stone-hearted CEO with power throughout the city. After learning about Claudio's talents, he began to watch the bird silently in the background, intent on taking back what was rightfully his at any costs, including the independence of his own son....
Rivals:

  • Samuel Eisel, age 19: Sam is indirectly responsible for great tragedy in Claudio's life. Because of his family lineage, he is relatively hostile towards Claude and his own kin, feeling that the Pascals have purposefully caused his own more trouble than they deserve. But despite this festering hate, there might be more to Sam than what Claude perceives....

  • Mel Cummings, age 33: A short bartender with a serious inferiority complex. He has a habit of letting Claudio's nature get to him, thereby igniting his temper and letting his gun speak first about the bird's behavior, although Claudio's decided the weapon is just for show since his aim is terrible. The two usually confront when Claude strays too close to his business.

  • Devil Cummings, approx. age 3: Mel's constantly-hungry shepherd mix who lives out back of the bar and has been specifically trained to consider lyrebird as a delicious snack. Claudio finds delight in teasing him with the chance to rip him apart, sometimes even letting him off the chain and allowing him to be undone by his own animal tendencies and instincts.

  • Arthur Freleng, age 21: A mild-mannered turtle who never misses an opportunity to remind Claudio of his manners. Claudio never agrees with him, believing he challenges him for the sake of it. It is with Arthur's politeness that Claude is twisted around by his inability to sock him, despite the fact that Arthur drives him practically insane.
Background Story:

The Pascals have long since been a lineage notable for their endeavors in the world of sound. Singers, dancers, and music makers alike, anyone who knew of their talents would be sure that they would take the world by storm, but it never turned out that way. Quite aware of the unforgiving world of mainstream success, the birds were much more happier keeping their talents confined to family tradition; a trend that would change during the beginning of the last century. Michael Pascal was a brilliant man intent on sharing his talents with the world. With an equally passionate team of people, Michael managed to create the technology that would allow a person wearing a special pair of gloves to control the very sound around them.

After being given a demonstration of the gloves' workings, a man by the name of Albert Eisel was no short of impressed. The powerful CEO then revealed that he could skyrocket the bird to untold fame, but he didn't trust his character and would think on the given contract. The next morning, he found the gloves missing: stolen and nearly legally capitalized off of by the very man who'd promised him a fair partnership! After a little digging, he learned of his business' location and that this type of theft had been going on for awhile. After Michael took them back and hid them away forever, the entire engineering team let it be known about his practices. Once word got out, Albert disappeared forever to avoid legal action and the sheer damage to his character. Thus began the feud between the Pascals and the Eisels.

Many decades later, we find Claudio being born rather early during the spring midday. Despite his prematurity, he grew into a fine young child with twice as much spirit to spare than his older and surprisingly mature sister, Lillian. And like any toddler full of life, his natural curiosity had led him into much trouble the moment he could crawl. Trash bins, high chairs, the top of the stairs; the more dangerous, the more Claudio seemed drawn to it, and the more he wore his parents out as they tried to keep up with his feverish pace. However, even if his parents weren't always pleased with the antics, Grandfather William's heart grew everyday for the young hatchling. And Claude knew this intuitively; always running behind the old man for protection whenever his father sought to give him a good smack on the tail feathers for playing with the ketchup bottle or even worse... trying to go in his parent's closet....

Oddly, this sense of adventure never left as he grew into himself. Nay; it seemed to get stronger, and his sheer wonderment, budding intelligence, and subsequently smart beak would become the bane and enjoyment of his school teachers as well as the general student body, especially his close friends and hundreds of associates. It was probably from this infinite wave of notoriety that Claude became the attention seeker that he currently is. But during high school, the bird was to experience a first: love. He had seen an older cat hanging around the place whose pure, glowing radiance was hardly comparable to the white hot intensity of ten thousand suns... But of course, being a boy with a reputation as his, he'd never admit this to anyone other than his true friends... but he did learn her name through successful eavesdropping: Ryoko Tlus.

This type of spying upon her around school and even at her job at the library would continue for weeks and even semesters on end. She seemed a lot more sophisticated than him; probably talking about serious matters with other like-minded people, set with a full plan after high school and a bright future as some big boss or something... it all deterred him. He was entirely different, even on the simplest of levels. A cat and a bird? His dad would probably think it was stupid. But still, he felt himself drawn towards her, but never got up the courage to figure out if she knew he existed. When she did pass glances, he was always looking past or away; not paying her any attention at all.... His friends usually found out information for him (not that he actually called that phone number) and continued insisting that he just be a man and get it over with, but those fools didn't know any better... Ryoko was just too good for him.

The bird's days after school usually consisted of visiting his grandfather's convenience store; a much more lively and fun place than the dwelling of his wolf of a father. It is from here that Claudio learned to hone his wit and natural voice talents from the old pro. He was also taught a little dancing after William had lost his mind one afternoon, as well as some songs, and the man was never afraid to give away a CD or two. William was also loved for his endless supply of chocolate-peanut butter candy cups. But if anything was an exceptionally significant gift to Claude's heart, it's the charms that he found when helping out with the sweeping one day. After returning them, a relieved William insisted that he hold on to them from now on, claiming that any passionate lyrebird possessing them would be protected from above and further blessed with a good life and good wisdom....

One fine day after school as he blew off his homework, Claudio's daydreaming about Ryoko began to wane as he found himself alone and out of metaphors and euphemisms to describe her. Boredom peaked and thus an interesting idea started to unearth itself. He remembered his parents' numerous warnings to stay out of their closet. He could only wonder what they were hiding in there: guns, skeletons, money... secret doors. Who knew? He would soon, and he ventured into forbidden territory. Unfortunately, his searching seemed to yield the ordinary: coats, boots, shoe boxes... and a chest on the top level that was just calling his name. Upon managing to slide it down and crash to the floor along with it, he noticed that it had popped open, revealing an awesome set of gloves and goggles. He played around with the items for awhile, but during his amusement he lost track of time, and his father's arrival from work deemed swift punishment with a warning to his very life.

But Claude remained hard-headed, and in obvious defiance, he snatched the entire chest away (from the same spot, no less) and went over to William's store, knowing he would provide answers. But much to his dismay, even his own grandfather was reluctant to spill the beans, but eventually cracked with enough goading. He didn't delve too far into their history, considering he was a first-hand witness to the entire mess, but he did mention their functions and unfortunately excited his grandson. He wasn't sure whether or not to teach him how to use them... but the feud had been forgotten... and he wasn't an old tightwad like his own son! There was no use in hiding them anymore and he figured Claude would be just the one to do them justice. Ergo, he made the bird his very own protege. And to explain the missing items to Scott? His grandfather had deliberately taken them away after naughty Claudio had stolen them again, of course. Yes, it was fishy considering William, but it worked for the time being.

Claude would continue training in secret after school everyday, further mastering several techniques much to his teacher's (and even the school's) approval. But it became increasingly difficult to hide his hand injuries and odd cases of exhaustion from his parents, and it wasn't long before Mae found out before he could hide the gloves and drew Scott's attention to the act of disobedience. Before his beak was to be slapped off and his feathers ripped right from the skin, William came to his aid and told the entire story. Scott began to remind the senile old man of the potential dangers the gloves and goggles possessed, who countered wondering why they hadn't been destroyed if such were the case. But Scott was admittedly a traditionalist, and the items were simply a family testament he held much too close to his heart.... Nevertheless, he felt beaten and wavered some, claiming that Claudio could wear them, but not use them.

Claudio felt disheartened by this turn of events, even more so when William didn't challenge that horrible notion even further. The next day, the impact of his father's order continued to reverberate: boring school day, hardly a wisecrack or a challenge... and his frustration about Ryoko irked him even more... After his usual beeline over towards the store, he immediately made his disappointment in William clear. Not even the revelation that their training would actually continue with slight modifications to their regimen did not raise his spirits. It stood to reason that other things were ruffling his feathers the wrong way, and Claude finally asked him in general what he thought about one's fear of love. William replied that one should not be afraid of the pursuit of a reward, especially not an outward individual such as Claudio. And at once, his mind had been made up.

Waking up that morning was a rush. Claudio felt a high never before experienced. The thought of finally talking to her outweighed the fact that he would fail his test soon. He had been planning the entire encounter all day and eventually opted on making the spectacle public and unforgettable. That afternoon, he sought her out and called her attention away from her friends. Before he were to say anything else, he was stopped dead in his tracks by a dingo by the name of Samuel who began to question him about information that the bird eventually deemed too personal. Unable to get away from him, the strange boy finally demanded that he hand over the gloves. Claude's obvious answer and attitude towards Sam's pushiness quickly erupted into a fistfight that ended in both student's suspension and another wasted opportunity.

That night brought about yelling, a few hits, a grounding, and the licking of wounds by his mother. But bubbling in the background was the ironic praise his ignorant and nervous attacker was getting, as well as his directions to get those gloves. Even during suspension and the following weeks, Claudio was not entirely safe from Sam who now seemed to be actively seeking him out. And his questions about the gloves' importance to him was only answered with blows. The fights seemed like nothing more than an annoyance, really; but with what was happening in his life, Claude's patience was worn even thinner. One afternoon, at the onset of rain, Claudio met Sam again on the back way to William's store, this time initiating the attack himself. Now skilled in using his gloves, he let out all the stops in hopes of reinforcing the message to this punk to leave him alone. But in the midst of struggle, he noticed with a boot to the head he was to be double-teamed by... Sam's own father, Alan.

Claudio didn't get too far before Alan set out to pulling a gun on him, demanding return of the gloves. Having his life threatened for the first time scared him senseless, and he didn't know whether or not to make a move. But tides were turned once again as William came from around and beat the armed assailant over the head with a baseball bat, having heard the ruckus so close to his store. In the meanwhile, Claude took his cue to try and hold him off while he demanded that William got out of there. But he found it hard to leave considering Claude had nearly been shot several times in the confrontation. And once Claudio had finally been pinned by the man and the gun barrel placed against his chest, William hurled the bat at the man's head, and the bull's eye let loose an accidentally fatal shot in the wrong direction....

It was horrible... For the first time in his life, Claudio felt that primal urge to utterly destroy another entity, and he set to knocking Alan off with his largest blast yet. The pain in his hands went unfelt as blast after blast of sound was unleashed before Sam interfered again and pinned him. Easily knocked off, Claudio ran towards and picked up the gun, holding both men up with the chance to escape before they tried anything funny and further ignited his wrath. After retreat was granted, Claude ran back to his grandfather's side and held him close, regretting even holding on to that little chain in his pocket when he apparently had no use for it. He brushed it off such nonsense, knowing that his time was close regardless, and that Claudio still had much more to do. With a bidding to Claude to continue using his advice and good heart and the reiteration of his love to him, William passed away in his arms....

Although the entire family had been surrounded in a state of mourning, Claudio had sunk farther, almost infinitely. He walked out on the funeral early, too helpless with this turn of events. There was no one for him to confide in now nor anyone to teach him the things his parents couldn't understand. As far as he knew, he had been thrust into the awful world alone and with no one to help him dig himself out. But after a long time of introspection, he figured there would have been one way to ease his suffering a little... and that was to get rid of those blasted gloves forever! His grandfather's life was not worth anything as trivial as these things, and he didn't even know what was so special about them to the Eisels in the long run anyways; They weren't theirs! An unannounced trip out led him towards Station Square and its pristine beaches, and he overlooked the clear ocean with contempt. But before the gloves were to be washed away by the waves, Richard confronted him once more... but this time without any aggression.

Claudio did not find his advance appealing, much less his existence, but since he wasn't to be harmed, he listened to Sam's confused sermon about his grandfather's death. Upon the mentioning of that event, he was told to save it for a caring individual and walked away, thinking of some other way to dispose of the gloves. It was suddenly revealed that even Sam himself didn't know exactly why he found the gloves of any great importance to the family, but he did find his father something to fear regarding that obsession, and admittedly had the same biased hate towards Claudio and his family which would probably never leave him regardless of his sympathy. Claudio just shrugged it off and left Sam behind, who only left him with this before departing himself: The fighting would never end, and someone would have to make the call on whether or not more lives were to be lost in the ultimately silly squabble. As Claudio stepped away from the beach, he couldn't really figure if those words were a threat or some awkward guidance.... but regardless, it filled him with determination. He was the only one who could wield the thing that everyone sought; he had the tool that could end the war. Destroying them would not solve much, nor would it allow him to avenge the death of William. He had no choice but to fight, and he began to seek out his enemy....

A little background searching and inquiries from the local yokels led Claudio straight to the towering corporation where Alan worked. Upon entering, little resistance was made as he climbed towards the top floor. Cameras and early chatter had rendered his inevitable visit a given, and all were too afraid to do their job and dispatch the trespasser. Alan was a bloodthirsty fellow and would handle it without their involvement. Claude eventually reached his office, pounding on the door which soon gave way automatically. Demands to stop any advances with the threat of destruction present fell on deaf ears as Alan down talked Claudio's advances and proceeded once more to ask for the gloves. The bird refused to hand them over, and his rebellion was immediately answered in the form of a rush. This was easily dodged and he began to make quick work of Alan with his persistent movement. But in the midst of the struggle, a tail feather was grabbed, rendering him unable to move or use his gloves without damaging himself, and Claudio was wailed on. A subsequent attempt to throw a blast at him had Claude shot in the arm....

While he lay in pain, Alan's sadism allowed him to feel generous enough to explain his motive. It was then revealed that after striking a completely legal deal with him, his ancestor Michael simply became insatiable with his cut and demanded that they revoke their trademark if not paid a higher percentage. Obviously not bending to his demands, he went on a practical rampage and they were wrongfully stolen from, the gloves then hidden forever through their family line. Unfortunately, this theft had become so costly due to prior advertising, market research, and partnerships that the business ran into a horrible bust period when they could not put the product out. Recovery had almost become impossible for the once prosperous establishment. And unwilling to let his life's work die in front of him, Albert actually committed suicide, leaving behind a single heartbreaking note and no body. The Pascals were nothing more than greedy thieves, and they simply refused to admit it.

Claudio was now finally faced with the two halves to this debacle, and he just had to wonder how warranted William's death possibly could have been in the entire scope of things. Perhaps by withholding out on what he presumed to be "his", he was an unwilling participant in the spark that reunited the flame. He backed off, unsure about his next course of action... but he knew very well that he could not give up the items. Upon finding this out, Alan became furious and demanded an explanation, to which Claude simply replied that difference between a murder and a suicide is that the victim in one scenario has a choice. Both families may have caused each other pain, but the Eisels continued to be terribly spiteful, and because of their ugly hate did not deserve to even touch his family's inventions, regardless of whatever happened before. Alan had already gotten his grandfather, and he wouldn't let him live with the satisfaction of having what he truly wanted so long as he were still breathing.

The bird's unwillingness to heed caused Alan to lash out in a fury, and thus their battle carried on. Claudio's determination began to win out over existing injuries and his opponent's superior strength as he did what he knew what to do best: move. He wouldn't let Alan touch him, further reassured with his lacking aim in the midst of his fury thus allowing him to exhaust his own energy before striking back. Once Claudio was assured he had put him down, he declared his victory and warned Alan to let it all go or suffer the consequences, completely held back from using a fatal blast against the murderer in being reminded of Sam's humanity. With a sigh of relief, he proceeded for home....

...only to be grabbed by the ankle and tossed overhead through the building's window.

Unwilling to die without a semblance of struggle, one of his tail feathers wrapped around Alan and he unwittingly lurched his adversary out of the window with him. Aerial struggle abound, Claude was able to free himself from his clutches, barely saving himself with the use of a powerful sound blast beyond his normal measure to slow his fall. But his abuse of the gloves' powers had soon knocked him out, and both were taken to the hospital; one legally declared dead on the scene.

It was debatable to Claudio whether or not he got off easy enough in the following weeks of recovery. Of course his story proved clean with the police and concurrent eye-witness accounts of how the window incident went down, and any possible murder charges were soon squashed. But the lingering thought about his tainted lineage and role in causing William's untimely fate continued to rattle him. But for everyone's sake, he eventually gathered the courage to focus on the bright side. Life was pieced back together, minus the lingering threat from Sam for his father's death, and he was deemed even more cooler at school for being on the news and actually murdering a CEO. And then there was the fact that he had proven to himself and his family that he had a mature and disciplined mind. Why, he could survive anything. He was practically indestructible! ... Thus, Claudio's ego and growth finally allowed him to put himself at ease with William's departure. With this restored order in his life, the bird was feeling restless. He needed a challenge, and he knew just where to find one. One Saturday morning, he made his way to the public library. Upon approaching the front desk of a certain feline librarian, he said the one thing he'd be waiting to say for quite a while with that loud, cheerful robustness only Claudio could pull off in such a place.

"Hey, Ryoko!!!"

== VI. Concept Information==

Intended Role: Claudio was intended to be my staple comic-relief character as well as to serve as reconnaissance (or terrorist <3) and a good back-up teammate. He was also an experiment in trying out something different by using a rarely-used species.

Significant Meanings: Claudio himself is a walking homage to the Golden Age of American animation which coincides with my appreciation of this era and its significant contributions to today's cartoons. Because of this, Claude can also serve as counterbalance to the majority of fan characters who incorporate new-age concepts into their background.

His life is also a representation of the American lifestyle in general in the early and mid 20th century. Representing the Roaring 20s is his childhood, an gilded past faintly hiding the darker truth about his family's feud, which then leads to inevitable tragedy that exemplifies the Great Depression. His swift recovery and resolve and the ensuing fight against the Alan represents WWII.

Incorporated Concepts: The brunt of Claudio's personality and quirks are directly lifted from Warner Bros.' classic screwballs and "winners", most notably Bugs Bunny. Both characters are nonchalant, humorous, quick-witted, and frequently on the receiving end of unnecessary aggression from other characters. Both are also capable of some very convincing impersonations and wonderful musical talent. Even more fittingly, they both (accidentally) have a similar coat color and pattern.

The other defining theme of Claudio is obviously the sound aspect. His name itself is a reference to sound with the word "audio" being present in his first name and his surname being the SI unit for sound pressure. Lyrebirds themselves are also capable of mimicking such things as other birds, mammals, music, cameras, and even chainsaws, and they do it with such skill that many lyrebirds are easily mistaken as something else.

Inspirations: The urge to make a lyrebird character came directly from viewing the species on an Animal Planet documentary the night before his conception, while a reviewing of Bugs' first and classic death scene in 1940's A Wild Hare directly gave me the idea to try and base Claudio around the character and his other motifs.

Claudio is, like my other characters, inspired by traits present within myself. This is most present in his curiosity. He tends to daydream a lot and wants to experience the world and everything it has to offer. If nothing else, he is staring at the horizon and the sky, wishing he could visit these foreign things and hope for lifelong experiences; a habit which I've inadvertently created for myself. Considering I get out a lot less than he does, however; the character's habits could also be some reflection of my desire to be more outgoing and social with others. Claudio's father and sister were also inspired by my own respective family members.

Trivia/Miscellaneous Information:

Character:

  • Considering his two tail feathers are fully mobile, they are a prime means of interpreting Claudio's expressions. For example, they may completely straighten when he is startled, wave or twitch as he calculates a plan, or just fall limp on the ground if he is exasperated.

  • Claudio sometimes admits to having an "agenda" against fast-food restaurants that serve chicken; his way of admitting his aversion to them and the food item considering he is, in essence, poultry himself and probably ripe for the menu given his rep.
Concept:

  • Despite noticeable similarities to Jet in appearance, Claudio's looks actually took more root from a fan character of mine far older than the green hawk: Sihari the Griffon (excuse the bad drawing). He was also intended to have a similar color scheme.

  • Most of his friends, family, and adversaries are named and/or modeled after different persons and famous characters in the animation field.

  • Claudio's current theme song is "Into Yesterday" by Sugar Ray.

    • His hate for politics was added for no reason as was the similarly-themed last verse in his former theme song "You Get What You Give" by The New Radicals.

    • Both of his theme songs were first exposed to me by the animated film Surf's Up, which also includes a hard-headed and rebellious bird as its star.

Dragons. They Love you. Your good with Ketchup.

O well i need some popcorn for the background story. XD

Well have read until the background story that is. Massive amount of information on your caracter. It could have easily been one of the top five fan caracters when we almost had a fan caracter tournament. Though it was to much work.

I dont see anything wrong with him to give you any constant critisism, i am more then impressed by the work you have taken into this.

Heh, just created my own yesterday after four hours of work. I belive this have taken up weeks of your time to probably edit, fine tune the background story as i yet havent getting to. Though i will if you just pass that popcorn.

Another thing, would be nice to see him in any rpg's as well.

Outstanding caracter as far i seen. I give you a 10/10 for the work. 10/10 for the creativity. Cant rate the background yet, though his family and rivals seemed pretty interesting as well. ^_^

What am I saying? The concepts behind Pascal are incredible, I'm still going over his background, around the 4th paragraph. You even added miscellaneous info about him.

You really poured your time on him wisely, miss. You and a few good people I've seen and know, have great profiles on their character(s). I cannot rate your character, because it goes beyond my standards, and I do go beyond my standards XD.

Apologize if I confuzzed you.

I will continue reading more on him. Awesome job, that's all from me.

XP A Superb Lyrebird isn't a hybrid or anything like that. That's just the name of the more well-known of the two species of those crazy birds.

XP I feel pretty bad for posting this considering it's nowhere near done, but since I already revealed him in the tournament, there's no reason why this can't be posted now. Lucky for you guys, this incomplete state means that you won't have to suffer through an annoyingly long bio.... today. And even then, that doesn't mean the rest of the thing isn't long. Happy reading. <3

Occupation: N/A

Organization/Group/Team: N/A

Socioeconomic Status: Lower class loner

Reputations: After having been involved in a horrific accident and burdened with a supernatural stigma, Al is perceived as somewhat of a threat, if a passive one due to his tendency to stay out of others' way and provide help when asked. A few individuals perceive him as fully dangerous and will attack him if provoked enough into doing so. His family and friends continue to admire him as a loved one. Strangers unaware of his past might simply view him as independent, reserved, or even emo.

== II. Physical Information==

Height: 3 ft. 7 in. (109.22 cm)

Weight: 75 lbs. (34.0 kg)

Current Age: 20

Birth Date: September 27

  • Libra: Libras are notable for their neutrality and rationality in a good range of issues, and a subsequent argumentative attitude to anything that challenges their judgement. They are sensitive to the emotional needs of others and tend to detest anything that is wrong or cruel.
Physical Appearance: Aldagar is covered in feathery, light golden fur. The feathering establishes a mustache around his nose that poorly hides his left fang. The yellow is interrupted by a black mark that runs down his back to the tip of his tail. His eyes are outlined in black markings, the right pupil being gold while the other remains gray. His hair falls in a bang past his right shoulder while an unruly tuft rests on the other side of his head. His fox-like ears are slightly tattered. Finally, Al sports rampant scarring, the most obvious ones across his good eye, the bridge of his nose, and the nose itself.

Body Structure: Al's proportions are comparable to a standard male hedgehog's: He is short, possesses long limbs, and retains a very lean and streamlined figure; firm with muscle from constant digging and running.

Attire: Al's default attire consists of a light brown corduroy jacket and slightly darker cargo pants. Dark brown fingerless gloves adorn his hands and a small red handkerchief is wrapped around his left arm.

== III. Mental Information ==

Intelligence: Al is blessed with common sense, logic, a sound vocabulary, and an active mind he stimulates by reading, figuring out the problems and situations around him efficiently, and simply pondering. However, he isn't notably studious and prefers being physically active. As a result of this preference and his sharp mind, he can get bored very easily, especially during verbal learning processes, and can come off as apathetic or even slower than he really is.

Personality: The word that best describes Aldagar is reserved. The dog immediately comes across as mentally grounded which can sometimes stretch to the point of cynicism. Al is also slightly misanthropic, having a thing against strangers and placing the bar ridiculously high for the attainment of true friendship, but he is not above giving his respect and services to people. He even has the ability to work with and lead groups as his drive for physical labor, cranial stimulation, and success makes him work his hardest. However, all of this can manifest a stubbornness in him to do things his own way unless properly persuaded otherwise, and he can become angry and even dangerous to those who delay him.

Despite this distant behavior he seems to embrace, Al wishes he possessed the courage to be more social, and the bond with his existing friends is unbreakable and sometimes constricting for them from over-protection. He can also be jealous of those whom are considered popular or lose his confidence in their midst, but if comfortable enough Al can become a more lighthearted patron of the party himself with a charming sense of humor.

Hobbies and Interests:

  • Hunting & Nature: Al spends as much time as he can within the woods hunting (either by bow or natural predation), spending time with friends, or appreciating nature's unmatched beauty.

  • Reading: Al spends many nights and lazy afternoons reading, his favorite genres being fantasy and general fiction.

  • Guitar: Al occasionally practices with and play an acoustic guitar, mostly as a therapeutic activity.
Likes:

  • Family & Friends: Al cherishes his family and friends as well as his time with them more than anything else.

  • Food & Cooking: Like most dogs, Al loves to eat and is especially fond of chicken. When he gets the urge, he also takes pride in preparing a meal for others.

Dislikes:

  • Immaturity: Al doesn't have the patience for melodrama and immaturity, especially if the person in question should know better. He is tolerant of young children, but will snap at any who cross a line.

  • Negative Attention: Al's opposing facial features hold painful memories for him, and thus he hates when a person points them out.

== IV. Combat Ability ==

Physical Advantages:

  • Al is small, as swift on two feet as he is four, and highly flexible, making himself a hard target to hit and restrain.

  • Excellent jaw muscles allow him to chomp through bone and stay there, and tripled with his endurance and equally dangerous claws, he becomes very formidable in close-range combat.

  • Extensively trained in hunting and ambush, Al is familiar with espionage and tracking and can find an opponent as well as he can disappear.
Mental Advantages (in combat):

  • Al understands the value of estimating your opponent correctly and will assess his opponents' performance on the sidelines before rushing headlong into battle.

  • Although honorable, Al can still be merciless and will not hesitate to use nearly anything at his disposal to win a fight.
Physical Disadvantages:

  • Possessing finely-tuned senses leaves him susceptible to attacks and effects that will hinder them. This rings especially true for his eyesight as being half-blind makes him him vulnerable to bright lights and attacks stemming from his left side.

  • Because Al has a light frame, bulky opponents whom deal in raw strength can can gain an easy upper-hand if he is caught in their attacks.
Mental Disadvantages (in combat):

  • Al can sometimes lose focus in the heat of particularly chaotic fights, especially if he's losing, which will usually lead to him failing to think on his feet fast enough.

  • Honor prevents Al from using his full strength on opponents he perceives as weak. This empathy leaves him open from opponents who may shield their true abilities until a defining moment.
Weaponry:

  • Bow and Arrow: To make up for his close-range shortcomings, Al carries a durable long-range bow and arrow set custom made from heartwood and obsidian. As a result of its range and origin, the bow is heavy and cumbersome. It's a hindrance on the move, but Al has learned that the bow is actually strong enough to be used like a staff.
Abilities: Aldagar's fighting style is best classified as a crude, hybrid form of kick boxing supplemented with feral attacks, highly. A specific list of his moves is as follows:

  • Bite: A basic snap. It is usually a warning and may not necessarily result in a severe wound, if any at all assuming the opponent backs off. However, if tempted enough, Al may stay connected and shake his head back and forth and/or toss the opponent away.

  • Claw Strike: Fast slashes with his claws. While Al can easily use them next to the enemy, he has given it a notable range and power as a result of the energy he wields (See Transformations), being able to rush blindingly past an opponent with powerful leaps. It is great at breaking through an enemy's defense.

  • Hidden Ground: Al can tunnel underground quickly and is able to bypass tougher material like concrete with a leap and a spiraling dive-bomb. It can be used both defensively and offensively: the dog can hide and regain stamina before bursting forth from the ground in an ambush attack.

  • Fang Breaker: Aldagar's finisher. He approaches the opponent's front and initiates a furious combo of slashes and punches. If the move is successful at this point, he continues with an uppercut to send the opponent flying before leaping up to grab the victim within his teeth and slam them down.

  • Sprint Metabolism: Not a fighting maneuver, but the ability dogs have to heighten their aerobic performance by releasing stored blood from the spleen into the circulatory system. While it provides extra stamina, it also comes with the risk of overheating. The sooner Al stops moving, the less of a cool down period he'll need, and he must learn to strike a balance between activity and rest. If Al overestimates the amount of energy he needs at hand, he must stop and will therefore become a sitting duck.
Energy Sources: Food and rest.

Transformations:

  • Unnamed Form: When under great stress Al will be granted a significant boost in speed and strength, its only symptoms being a red glowing of the eyes and a black aura. He feels no pain in the form yet is not impervious to injury nor the limits of sprint metabolism, and thus he must make sure that he sustains the form for no more than five minutes or face the possibilities of serious injury and death.

While Al can control it manually, he cannot initiate it. This has fueled his suspicion that it is merely a strange hormonal effect he suffers that produces excessive adrenaline. But with a lack of proof and the strange physiological changes that accompany it, others believe the form has a more sinister nature.

    Abilities:

    • Static Discharge: Al moves much faster and viciously in his form which causes advanced frictional activity from his claws and fur. He can accrue a great amount of static electricity which can deal additional damage with a connecting blow. The shocks aren't life-threatening, but can force an opponent back and cause a debilitating stinging sensation; Conversely, Al can suffer the shock himself from touching a conductor such as metal. If the transformation is halted before he's had time to transfer a shock, the charge is neutralized.

== V. History==

Family:

  • Flint (48): Aldagar's father and reliable leader of the town's hunting division. He is best known for his devil-may-care disposition, open-mindedness, and a fervent optimism. But it is this same optimism that has helped to tarnish the bond between him and his oldest son.

  • Ellen (45): Aldagar's mother. She is gentle, soft-spoken, and motherly; extremely supportive of her son despite her reservations about his anti-social nature. Unfortunately, her silence regarding Flint's blunder has led to the relationship between her son becoming slightly strained.

  • Cullen (7): Aldagar's brother. Like many younger and hyperactive siblings, he thinks Al is the epitome of cool and aspires to be like him despite Al's insistence that his life has burdens. Regardless, Cull's cheeriness and blind admiration always manages to arouse Al's spirits.
Friends

  • Kenna (19): A Sheltie and Al's girlfriend. She contrasts him as energetic, talkative, and bubbly; totally forgiving and always pining for attention. Because of this and her need to defend Al, she can come off as not too bright, but in reality, Kenna is just able to see the good in others.

  • Damian (22): A Schipperke with a Napoleon complex who compensates by teasing Al about his age. They tend to argue frequently over this, but Damian remains a good friend and is not above giving Al a pep talk nor even engaging in combat with someone who insults his friend.

  • Boso (20): A St. Bernard and utter giant amongst his clique, sometimes goes by "Boss" because of it. Despite his size, he is the most mellow and simple of the group-- a well-mannered pacifist-- and despises Damian's behavior as a result.
Enemies:

Cahil (21): A narcissistic Anatolian Shepherd whom is very proud of his policing heritage. Once a part of Al's gang, the two were bonded by the prospect of great responsibility and notoriety. But as their respective career fields and tensions over Al's character separated them, destiny was determined to cross their paths again with catastrophic results.

Background Story: Aldagar Hunter was born at home one cool fall morning to the delight of his parents as well as a town that had been bestowed with the successor of the pivotal hunting line of village dogs. However, celebration for the family was cut short when it was discovered that the puppy was born with a partly-functioning gray eye. His vision wasn't a concern, but rather the stigma that came attached to dogs who possessed a gray eye, the mark of the Black Dog, a demonic specter said to harbor and bring misfortune. Ellen, terrified of the stories she'd heard of her grandfather and his cruel fate as a result of the stigma, allowed herself to be reassured by Flint; After all, yorkies were notorious for cataracts.

This was explained to the citizens, and thus Al was allowed a normal childhood, going to school and rummaging around town with friends. Of special note was his bond with Kenna, a girl he'd go out of the way to spend a hefty amount of time with. It was cute, but Al's boyishness and the possibility that their respective careers would impede the progress of any romanticism made him deny his feelings. Fittingly, he also befriended Cahil who was considered as promising a police dog as Al was a hunter. Their destinies strengthened their bond as well as their propensity to roughhouse. Cahil's larger size aided in his ability to easily win and solidified his arrogance, but Al tolerated his attitude and even admired it. It wouldn't hamper their friendship, especially their time would also become shorter as they aged.

Ironically, the hope bestowed upon Al did nothing for his humility neither, and upon reaching the teenage years he begged and sometimes demanded his father to train him. Despite being a little younger than average, Flint gave in and began versing Al in scent detection, predation, and biology, following up his mastery of these subjects with fighting and archery. The town thought it as another one of Flint's off-the-cuff decisions and even took great amusement at the two's outings and conversations, all with the exception of Cahil whose father was more of a traditionalist. The pup would have to wait, his self-worth waning in lieu of his bubbling jealousy of Al. He sought refuge from his feelings by looking up to his father who'd always been skeptical of the cataract excuse.

Fortunately, this did nothing to dissolve his relationship with Kenna. With increased maturity came an acceptance of the feelings he'd always had, and the two started a mildly romantic relationship, much to the chagrin of a Cahil who was now doubtful about Al's lineage as well. Al eventually faced up to him concerning his attitude after bumping into him at the local pub, and from there the two began distancing each other. Although Kenna worried that a friendship was crumbling, Al reassured her and resumed the relationship and his training, both advancing rather quickly.

At age 18, Al was ready along with others to complete his summer hunter's initiation: the dogs had to kill the most game for one night, raccoons being the most valuable. Although Al's excess training gave him the advantage, he fell victim to the other dogs following him and stealing his prey. Hours of frustration led to an inevitable confrontation to the rest of pack whom not only considered his level of expertise unfair, but had been involved with Cahil prior to the contest. Although having the legal grounds to expose them, Cahil's involvement prevented such a concession on his part. Al decided to try and succeed his initiation fairly and managed to tree a raccoon by climbing after it. As he began to attack it, a stray arrow sliced his muzzle and felled the raccoon, both animals dropping out of the tree.

Al managed to compose himself enough to charge the dog responsible, but was set on by the rest. Nearing the end a losing battle, Al deftly lost all of his focus and entered into an untapped state of perpetual rage. The dogs backed off to notice his eyes reddening and body glowing with a sinister black aura. Al then set his sights on the original dog whom he'd nearly mauled to death. He was only stopped when the contestants sought the mediators. News quickly spread about the incident and the scene grew and eventually included Flint and Kenna. Al's bloodied jaws, the limp body before them, and the dogs' consistent story immediately damned him:

He carried the curse of the Black Dog.

For weeks after, the town distanced itself from Al. Kenna was ultimately confused after having witnessed her boyfriend, a gentle dog, in the midst of such an atrocity. Her mind was further worried by Cahil who was convinced that she should break off ties with him. Before she was able to come to a decision, Al visited her for a spontaneous date in an effort to prove himself to his last remaining friend, and she quickly accepted. Word spread about Kenna going off alone with Al and Cahil went to investigate, finding the two preparing to consummate their relationship. Horribly mistaken about the events, Cahil set upon Al and the two wore each other out before Kenna could get help.

Al's lack of a transformation and being provoked won him apologies and esteem from his friends and a few of the townspeople, but popular opinion remained stubbornly unmoved. This depressed him, forcing Flint and Ellen to own up to the questions Al had always had about his great-grandfather. The revelation of the power marred Al's relationship with his parents, especially with his father whom he'd believed would have never been closed off, especially for years about something potentially damaging to his character.

It soon became apparent to Al that his life in the village was coming to a close. With such a suspicion remaining over his head, it would be difficult to forge his life there. Eventually he made the decision to leave, but not before attempting to persuade Kenna to come with him. She refused, stating that her life remained with her family. With a sweet good-bye to her as well as his family and friends, Al set off in the middle of the night and continues traveling the world in hopes of attaining stability and peace.

== VI. Concept Information==

Intended Role: Aldagar was intended as a catalyst for character development, the arbitrary "dark" character to add to my menagerie, and a valuable tactician and field ally for future team members.

Significant Meanings: Aldagar stands as a symbol of mystery and deception; His immediate impressions of lonesomeness are a front for his true feelings and love of company. This is further emphasized by his opposing facial structure and the inclusion of his supposed "demon" in which there is deliberately no explanation given to its source.

Incorporated Concepts: The demon plot device and Al's basic electric ability are taken directly from the legend of Black Shuck, a large black dog possessing horrifying, glowing eyes which can be seen haunting crossroads and places that have experienced recent electrical storms.

Inspirations: Aldagar's feral tendencies, fighting style, and knowledge of espionage stem from various anthropomorphic game characters including Yugo and Sheena from the Bloody Roar series, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, and Sly Cooper. Design-wise, he was originally drawn as a mix of physical qualities from Fang the Sniper and an unidentifiable Japanese drawing of a cat.

Some of his quirks are lifted from Yorkshire Terriers. Although the breed is small, they seem to be unaware of their size and strive to be independent, reliable, and strong. They can be quite wary of strangers, make excellent guard dogs, and tend to frequently suffer from cataracts and other damaging eye problems.

Trivia/Miscellaneous Information:

  • Aldagar was actually first drawn as a cat, a ripoff of the aforementioned Japanese picture. This design was scrapped under the knowledge that cats are too popular a species and my ability to draw them was dwarfed by my ability to draw dogs.

  • While all of the dogs within the village have names that come from their breed's country of origin, Al's name is of untraceable European descent instead of from Britain where Yorkies originated from.

  • The Wood Zone was an actual zone in Sonic The Hedgehog 2 that was scrapped during production. Because it technically existed at one point but cannot be accessed easily, it was decided as the perfect setting for a hidden village.

MY EYES HAVE BEEN PULLED OUT AND STOMPED ON FROM READING THIS.

But, its really, really good. I like how much detail you put into it, and they are definitely original. I wonder where you got both of the images from though. Mind telling me?

@ Shadowrpg: X3;; Thanks for the compliment. I wish I could work as one of Sega's writers, because they need a little bit of assistance.

@ Haro: Thanks. Though, I don't think Al's too original. My intent for him was to be a decently made cliche' character. I never felt like putting the work into him as I did Claudio. His history will solidify that well enough once I get around to it. XD

And as for the bio pics, I drew them myself. X3;;

Wow. You're a great artist for Sonic Characters. I'm only great at drawing things like One Peice, DBZ, Naruto, and that kind of stuff.

And Al looks pretty original to me XD. All characters that don't abuse blasts/elements get a + from me.

A huge-ass bump, I know, but Al's bio has finally been completed. Claudio's is probably due in for a redo as well, and I have the energy to really get down to working on my hedgehog's bio, Nepenthe'. You can expect updates to be slightly more rapid than... a year. xD

These were quite fun to read.
Even if they took nearly an hour to finish.

But yeah, I like these characters, definitely beat the crap out of my guy.

And Aldagar's art looks freaking sweet!

...but a Hedgehog?
Seriously?

I THOUGHT YOU WERE SMART! >:O
(joking. Really looking forward to it.)

x3 Thanks a bunch for the positive comments. <3

Also, I'll calm your worries immediately by saying that my totally awesome and creative hedgehog is unique from the rest in that he doesn't have any superpowers whatsoever. Booyah!

Oh... interesting!

And I was thinking this one was going to be a girl, seeing that:

1. You have 2 guys so far
and
2. YOU are a girl, and most would feel the need to make an FC to emulate themselves within the Sonic universe. :p

I only have one current girl FC-- a coyote named Collette-- but I haven't gotten attached to her enough to bother giving her a bio as detailed as these. She's just a convenient player when I need a space mercenary or a love interest in a instant-messaging roleplay. xP

But yes, people have found it weird that I have mostly male FCs, but I don't. I mean, the Sonic series is primarily boy-oriented. It can't be helped. xD
