The shack is back! This thread will be for small discussions similar to what you would have on an instant messenger. Just to get closer to the community with discussionless posts saying, "Hi, I just signed on" or "Yawn, I'm tired today" for example. Speaking of Tropes, I've had other Big Lipped Alligator Moments. Hell, outside of anything that has "Shack" in it, allegedly, nothing happens here. It's like Vegas. Then again, Vegas is inside the Shack/is the Shack |

Well actually, technically the Shack is in New Vegas and New Vegas is in the Shack. Both at the same time. You see, I designed New Vegas to essentially be a world of its own- inaccessible if you don't have my permission to enter. New Vegas is a fourth dimension- it completely overlaps the Shack, existing in the same spot, at the same time, yet completely invisible and intangible unless I allow you to pierce the dimensional barrier and enter it. The same can be said of the Shack when you're inside of New Vegas, though the Shack exists on the normal plane of existence; the one we call 'reality'. The shack just happens to sit where the borders between the fourth dimension and reality are thinner and easier to pierce than anywhere else. |

Much like dimensional barriers, the borders of reality and unreality are extremely thin here, so thin you could cut the border with a butter knife if butter knifes could even touch dimensional barriers. By unreality, I essentially mean what is referred to the land of the human imagination. Here, the border between our own minds and the waking world is extremely thin- in essence, inside these walls, if we think it, if we will it to be, it shall exist. The basement below is actually a spacecraft that crashed here eons ago, and it, too, has become infinitely larger on the inside than on the outside, due to the fact that the Shack sits atop it and the reality/unreality border is so thin here. The infinite size is of course made possible due to the fact that our own imaginations are quite infinite, seeing as anything can happen in dreams/daydreams, as long as you can think of it. |
