... Where did South America come from? xD I thought the guy would be too bruck up to fly after being on the North Pole? *giggles uncontrollably*
Let's not forget

A) The plausibility of DRIVING to the North Pole

and

B) The fact that they could've just driven to South America the whole damn time.

 Potential other reasons for the "detour": be able to bypass detainment by justifiably suspicious customs agents in SEVERAL central/south American countries, AND having an airborne ally. I mean the latter's an unspeakable tactical advantage.
Indeed, there is nothing more repulsive than these monsters that defy nature and are known by the name of witcher, as they are the offspring of foul sorcery and witchcraft. They are unscrupulous scoundrels without conscience and virtue, veritable creatures from hell capable only of taking lives. They have no place amongst decent and honest folk.

The former wouldn't happen, in that show they seem to have free reign to go wherever they please, and the latter would be what I assumed had they not directly stated in the show that they were going to revive him for the specific purpose of having him fly them there.

 I just realized something that makes the whole 'revive guy to get him to fly us somewhere' thing even DUMBER.

The Autobots actually CAN FLY.

All of them.

Mysteriously.

Without wings or rocket packs.

They just can.

So they didn't need transportation at all.
