Basically they are in a tomb searching for some kind of treasure that is supposed to be linked with the Black/White legend and the guy they are with says this tomb will 'suck the life out of them' or something like that, leading to Ash imagining this scene. |

So brand new copies of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning come with one-use online passcodes to unlock day one DLC. Everyone is bitching and moaning that used game buyers get the shaft. I find it endlessly amusing that the same people will incessantly shriek at the top of their lungs about how horrible the big, mean, evil developers are for interfering with their God-given right to buy used games for less, giving 100% of the profit to parasitic companies like GameStop and absolutely nothing to the creative people responsible for the game itself, and then whine and grumble constantly about how fewer and fewer original games get made, shunted aside in favor of churning out more by-the-numbers drone games with well-Pavloved fanbases, like "Madden Flag Football 2014: It Rained Today Edition" and "Call of Duhty 14: You're A Super Real World Hardcase Tier 1 Operator And Girls Know You Exist! Edition."Of course, losing 75% of their revenue via used game sales has never hurt a developer - I read it on a message board filled with angry screeds and gibberish, so it must be true. I read it on THE INTERNET, after all. Besides, it is clearly far more important for Joey Blobbington to save $5 on a new release than it is for John Q. Developer to be able to flaunt his wealth by way of such crassly trivial expenditures as feeding his kids or paying his rent. /rant |
