The shack is back! This thread will be for small discussions similar to what you would have on an instant messenger. Just to get closer to the community with discussionless posts saying, "Hi, I just signed on" or "Yawn, I'm tired today" for example.

All side discussions about your life or anything that can be posted into a different topic with discussion value will be removed and put into their appropriate topic.

Break out the L-word. The other L-word.
Might be nice if you told us WHY you are in such a pissy mood, but meh. Not sure... might be too tired to care... I'm running on at most five hours of sleep...

*looks at the Shack, but is stopped by an important piece of news*

*GASP* TYPE-0 IS CONFIRMED FOR A WESTERN RELEASE. ...Well, it's about time, Squeenix. |\
Eh, the Final Fantasy games need to be more free-roam... because I swear to god... I got really pissed off with Crisis Core and how I got a cutscene literally EVERY... SINGLE... MINUTE...

Enough with the cutscenes already... I WANT TO EXPLORE THE GODDAMN WORLD! I WILL PLAY THE STORY WHEN I FEEL LIKE PLAYING THE STORY!
Yeah, I know what you mean. Type-0 alone has about 5 minutes worth of cutscenes before you actually start playing as someone and after that you got about another minute worth of cutscenes before you play as some one else. Then you're thrown into a freeroam-like area that has has sealed of paths damn near everywhere (though, I think this might just be because it's just the demo) and you then gotta go through about another two minutes worth of cutscenes before you know what you gotta do next.

But yeah, this is something I noticed in other Squeenix games. Both PS2 KH games have a long prolouge which could last about 2 or so good hours even if you're doing everything quickly. (Although, the first game was much shorter in that regard.) And TWEWY's prolouge (which I consider to be the first day and part of the following three or so days) is pretty long and you're restricted from doing anything freeroam-like. xP

Apparently... everyone but S_B today is either freakin' sick or really damn tired...

What a strange coincidence
Technically, I am kinda sick, but not as bad as everyone else. And I was tired, but Type-0, combined with my hunger, woke me up. |P

Why?

Why?

Fine, I'll tell you why. I'm supposed to be going to a job fair later today, because, well, I need a damn job and this is one way to go about it. Someone is supposed to be taking a few of us there. Now, these 'few' consist of myself, a couple friends of mine, and a guy I've wanted to smack on more than one occasion.

The problem is, the latter person is not a responsible fellow. At all. (I have a really bad feeling he's going to make us leave late - and we need to get there early enough to find parking.) So, what's going to end up happening is that someone will, metaphorically speaking of course, will have to hold his hand because no one trusts him to be able to do things by himself.

And I'll be damned if I'm the one who has to do it. That means I will have to hear his complaints all freaking day. I can just imagine getting into a conversation with a potential employer about why I'd be a good person to hire and BAM! He'll be hovering over me, saying something like; "Are you done yet?"

Why the hell are they even taking him....?

Yeah... they want to 'portray' the sense of freedom in their games even though it's actually quite the opposite. Square Enix has pissed me off with that for so long it's not even funny... I mean, remember the original good ol' Final Fantasy 7? Or even better, the good ol' original series before 7... Now that, was fudgein' free-roaming.

I really wish for Square Enix to either go back to the old games with their free-roaming or do something more like what they and Edios did with Human Revolution.
So... Final Fantasy and your belly woke you up?

Makes sense.

Whoa... Now this looks more like a free-roaming. Gotta check this out some more. :V

@Virgil: Ah, yes. FFVI and FFVII, those are pretty awesome. And a freeroaming FF game for the current gen consoles would be amazing. *nods*

@Blaire: Sounds like good question; why are they taking him?=/

Double K. Ever heard of it?

It's a webcomic made by Captain Osaka, and it's essentially what happens when you make Gurren Lagann a cop show.

You can read it here.

Definitely worth the read... it is the most awesome webcomic since Looking for Group.
