 Virg, if you're still having an issue with the launching and stuff, my friend said uninstalling Steam and reinstalling it will allow it to see an update it was missing for TF2. Once that updates, it should be fine.

Then again, I dunno. Steam has been kinda derpy ever since TF2 became free. *shrug*
