 He's called eggman cause sonic made fun of his weight in SA1/DX.

It's supposed to be unprofessional. Robotnik's still his REAL name.

 That may be true, but it's used everywhere else. It matters not whether it's his real name or not. He was considere "The Eggman" as a nickname, not "Dr. Eggman".

I personally think he shouldn't be called Dr. Eggman at all.

(claps) Bravo. The aditude of a true classic gammer. I thought classic gammers were goin extinct. Glad that Im not tha only one. :lol:

 Not really, because I am Agent Smith for Mario day at my High School.

It's a form of respect. I like Agent Smih, he's a cool character, I fit the part well, I look like him in a suit with sun glasses. I call my cousin Mario, he likes Mario alot, he's Mario on Mario day, he fits the part well, am I making fun of him? Certainly not.

My nickname is in no way some form of disrespect.

And maybe he excepts it now despite the fact that they used it as a way of making fun of him. Who knows. He is after all a strange fellow. His motives could be well unknown to us. All I know is, his last name is ROBOTNICK, and that he was originally called Dr. Ivo Robontick.

Even in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle his Grandfather was called "Gerald Robotnick".

In what way was his original name "Eggman"?

Makes no sense if his Grandfathers last name is Robotnick if he's Robotnick. And his first name by birth wasn't "Eggman". It was Ivo.

He's not like Dr. Phil. He doesn't go by his first name. Why would his first name by birth be Eggman?

Perhaps he considers himself "Eggman" now. I don't know why he does. But I sure as hell don't consider him Eggman still. I'll still call him Dr. Robotnick.

Whatever the reason, I'll still call him Dr. Robotnick.
