That's what I did during my graphics/web-design class. Except there was less talking (I didn't get to sit next to my friends) and more going on Sonic Blast. If a class sucks you can't help but fail it. And if it's an elective, then no one cares.

it's a good idea for a topic it deserves to be pinned. also i've nev er failed a class  i've gotten close to failing but that's it.

what does that mean dude? my grades are Science: B+ Math: A Language: A Social Studies: B+ Gym: A+ Health: A Spanish: B+ Computers: A Art: A+ Music: A im not worried about failing. Closest to Failing was in 6th grade with a 62 in Science |

Sorry if I seem a smarty pants, but... Art: A+/102 Tech: A/95 Band: A+/117 (TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT) Gym: A+/100 (IDK, Im athletic) Triple Honors Math A/96 (HOLY CRAP) Honors Social Studies A+/97 Honors Language Arts A/94 Science A/96 Yeah, Im smart I guess. Or school is too easy now. |

Well, these are some very good tips and I'm glad someone actually said them, because I say them all the time. I'm always offering people online here help if they want it and if I can help any way I can to either encourage them or help them study or something, but no one ever accepts. I'm glad not everyone around here is all happy about failing though. That is one of the things that kind of ticked me off at some of the kids back in high school, was that they would be failing the class and tests and laugh about!!! That is so idiotic. You have to do your best in all classes no matter how much they suck. I get tired of people that just don't care about school at all. You will learn one day when you do these same things on a job and the Boss fires you because of things you do. Just study and actually TRY!!!! If your lazy you deserve to fail and don't get my respect at all. |

Very good advice... Though it could of been said in one sentence. "Get off your fat @$$, get studying and pay attention." It's good to give people advice, but one thing students forget is that they have a duty to school and have to use their brain a little too, instead of just sitting like braindead zombies. I'm far from perfect, I actually never study at home, to be honest. A lot of situations are different, some don't have that smart friend to ask help from and some don't have time to study a lot more then they already do while having somewhat of a social life. It'd probably be easier for people if this was a thread where they can present their situation in school(if they need help that is) and people try to give advice to the best of their ability. That's my two cents. Ps. Don't take my post as an insult, you got a head on your shoulders and the advices you've written really are great. |

I haven't even got half my grades yet. I got about 54% in R.E and apparently thats a B. I'm doing fine but. I've already got my Statistics GCSE done which was an A, and i done one Science with a B. All my teachers are expecting me to do A level maths next year, pah, fat chance. I'm great at doing Math, I mean I'll most likely get an A at GCSE, but I hate it so much. So no chance. Everywhere else I haven't a clue. I'm pretty confident with I.T, its just Art, I want to make sure I get at least a B, so I can do A level. |

*sighs* sadly I need these tips cause I don't study nor do I even try..apparen'y I'm failing my academic classes due to sleeping too much or just really don't care...found out by progress report I stit up front yet I'm put to sleep. its not our fault we can't bring books home....and take to many notes....and watch boring videos. |
