Well, I've noticed that lots of people are staying inactive because their grades are slipping. Since, strangely, my grades aren't slipping (although last year they were really low, but it was fault of the teachers and now I changed school and I'm much, much better), here's some very useful tips! A) Study comes before all. B) Don't go for the votes. Go for learning! C) PAY ATTENTION IN SCHOOL!! This is the most vital point of all. If you don't pay attention in school, at home you'll take ages doing the homework and you won't learn nearly anything! D) Can afford it? Take an extra teacher and have extra lessons! If you choose it well your grades will rise up! E) Can't afford it? Take a friend, who's good in the lesson you want to learn, and ask for some help! F) Try looking at those lessons with a different eye, not like "The Cold War begun, Winston Churcill understood it and made a speech, and a tension time started", but like "Cold War? Oh, that's Winston Churcill Iron Curtain's speech! I shall go and see at BBC archives and see if I can find it!" or "Cold War? I wonder how it was living in a so high tension!". G) Your girlfriend is inviting you to dinner the day before the test? Forget her! For how painful it shall be, with your girlfriend you can simply change the day, for the tests, you can't! H) Maths? Write the formulas and excercise! I) Geography? Inform yourself on the place to study! L) History? Go and see curiosities on Internet on the period you are studying M) TURN OFF MESSENGER while studying! No, I don't care if you have to chat, it just distracts you. N) A week before the tests, start going to bed 5 or 10 minutes earlier, so that the night before them, you shall be sleeping at 9 PM and be in full energy for the big day! (example: With a test on Friday, on Sunday go sleep at 21:50, on Monday at 21:40, on Wendsday at 21:30, ecc.) O) Be smart! If you have a language test, like Spanish, ask a spanish guy, maybe in this forum, for his AIM. Chat with him during his free time and I'm sure you'll have at least 20 new words in your Spanish vocabulary. Well, this is it. Try and apply these rules, and you'll see the situation with your grades! |

When I was a junior in High School.. Metal Shop: F (0% too!) Math: F English: F Food Service: B lol US History: F Small Engines:F Funny thing though, I always learned. I just didn't care about my grades then. In 10th grade I had an F in world history the whole year, then on the final I got a 98% and it shoved my grade up to passing.

My teacher said the reason I have an F is because I don't do my homework, and if I did I would still have a higher grade

WUT. That's a lot of F's. The only classes I've ever failed were French III and Chem. (8 As for getting better grades for SBers, don't piss and moan, just do your homework... |

Well as i have never had any problems with grades until last year i would say there are some F's here, though it aint anything serious. Once year i had like F in Gym, while two years later i got a A. How much changes in such a short time. Though it is a reason why i managed it. The society. Though i have heard about that getting to sleep earlier as the exam closes onto you. Though i have never made to do it. Maybe that's why i have always getting those low grades. lol! Though i have always managed to keep away from the F and E. Or whatever is between as we use numbers over here. Like A is 6 and so on down to 1. |

(new grading system...sucks) Science: 82 B English: 84 B Eletrical:85 B Eletrical:84 B I'm on eletrical for 3 hours so they made a mistake on my reportcard along with others in the class but its all fixed what happened you asked well my 7th period eletrical grade was accidently deleted like the others so its fixed and my GPA is great! on topic theres are very good tips for thoses who are slipping. |

And my grades for the heck of it. English - 94/A (I dunno how I pulled this off) Spanish - 82/C US Government - 82/C Comp. Engineering I - 89/B Comp. Engineering II - 93/A E-Commerce II - 100/A (ridiculously easy) Math - 91/B CEI was first semester, and CEII is now. And my grading system is weird too... 100-93 is an A, 92-85 B, 84-77 C, 76-70 D, 69 and below F. I like the tips. Even though I'm the laziest person on the face of the earth.

I made honor roll for my last semester of high school (which was fall 07) by goofing off and procrastinating LIKE A MOTHER. I wouldn't recommend it though. Poor work ethic and good grades are a combination that only works if you add in my catalyst of awesome. |

Did I mention I had a 0% in Metal Shop? Yeah... I'm actually proud of that record. Lowest record ever! My highest? 98%... I was upset, because it wasn't considered an A+.
