This is role play I'm bringing here from EchoWorld. Instaed of the story having to take two different routes, I decided to make it a Fan fic here. And I'll update it as often as possible. So, here it is:

In a peaceful tranquill valley lived a young girl, who's life seemed perfect. But little does she know that is all going to change...

"Alarm clock going off"

Kira:Hey!Uh, oh yeah, I gotta get the water for the family today.

Mom:Kira, are you up?

Kira:Yes, mom.And I'm dressed and ready to go.

A few minutes later outside...

Mel:Hey, Kira? You goin' to get the water?

Kira:Yup, Mel.

Mel:Maybe, we should go together.

Kira:Why is that?

Mel:You didn't hear about this supposed lion tamer? He's usually seen around the water hole.

Kira:Lion tamer?

Mel:Yup, maybe I shoud get the others too.

Kira:Yes, please, do that.

Laura:Hey Kira.What's up?

Kira:Nothing, I'm just going to go to the water hole to get some water.

Later on at the water hole...

Kira:See, no lion tamer.

Laura:Don't press your luck.

Kira:I think he would have showed up by now.

Mel:Hmm, I think Kira is right. He usualy strikes sooner.

Aya:Well, we should keep our guard up anyway.

Mel:Aya is right.

???:Hello girls.

Kira:What the heck? Are you the lion tamer?

???:That would be me.

Mel:What do you want with us?

???:Nothing.I just simply want all the water in the water hole.

Kira:We better prepare for battle.

???:Go get 'em.

Lion#1:"Growls& pounces"

Mel:Laura, LOOK OUT!!!

Kira:"Pulls out a small pouch"

Laura:Ahhh,"dodges the lion"

Kira:"Grabs something out of the pouch"Here, Laura, catch!

Laura:What kind of potion is this?

Kira:A natral enhancement potion. It'll multiply your strength by 10 times.

lion#1:charges toward Laura.

Aya:"Draws sword and charges toward the lion"

???:What is going on?One of my lions can't beat four little girls?

Lion#1:"yelps"

Laura:Aya, you, you...

Aya:That's right I stabbed it.

???:Go two more lions

lions 2&3:"Growls"

Kira:Let's go.

Mel:Yeah.

Laura:"Drinks potion"Oh yes, I feel it.

Aya:Now there's no way those lions can defeat us.

Lions 2&3:"Charge at the girls"

Along the road, coming from a distance with the winds of the morning zephyr behind him, approached Argus.

A simple farmboy, he isn't known for his strength, but for his speed and ability when it came to fighting. [not to mention rugged good looks, yow!]

He was on a morning run to the water hole, with his hunting knife in a holster on his belt and an axe on his shoulder. He never knew what would appear in these lands, and it was always better just to be safe. He was well-armed, and he knew how to use his weapons extremely effectively.

Approaching the familiar shape of the water hole, Argus heard more than just water. Fighting... roaring... Could the dreaded Lion Tamer be around here, now?!

Argus readied his axe and charged for the scene.

Seeing two lions attacking a group of girls, Argus knew he had to do something to help. But what?

He saw the Lion tamer... Quickly, Argus pulled out his six-inch hunting knife, reared his arm back and sent the knife spinning right into the back of the Lion tamer.

It lodged between two of his ribs. Writhing in agony, the Lion Tamer was sent to his knees as he bent his arms back to pluck the knife from his back. He pulled it out, saw his own blood on the knife, and turned to who threw it.

Argus was standing right next to the Lion Tamer, with his double-headed axe in both hands, with an expression that clearly stated that Argus was not afraid to use it.

"You'll never get me alive!" The lion tamer yelped out in fear as he sent a lion after Argus.

Growling, the Lion jumped between the Lion Tamer and Argus. It reared back and prepared to leap, but Argus moved faster.

He had brought the axe down on the lion's head, slicing it into two pieces, effectively killing it.

Argus lodged the axe out of the lion's skull, and with the bladed edge dripping in feline blood, Argus bore over the Lion Tamer as he cowered on the ground.

"Just a regular old coward without your lions, hm?" Argus spoke in a menacing tone.

In an act of desperation, the Lion Tamer took the knife that was used on himself and rammed it into Argus' stomach.

Argus dropped his axe, sending it to the dirt with a thud as Argus fell to his knees, ripping the knife out and looking over his wound. A large hole had been made right above his bellybutton, and blood was pouring out at a respectable rate.

Argus lifted his head to look at the Lion Tamer to see him hobbling away, retreating from the battle.

Argus lifted his arm back again and thrust the knife at the Lion Tamer, sending it whizzing through the air and straight between two rib bones... lodging the blade right into the Lion Tamer's heart.

Argus didn't get to see the Lion Tamer crumple down in death, since he had grown faint from blood loss and he fell into the grass, face first, and fell victim to the enticing calls of slumber...

Kira and the others had looked at Argus. The four young girls had been surprised that he had defeated the Lion Tamer.

Kira rushed ove to Argus and looked back at the others and had asked them.Do you know who he is?The others had replied to her saying,"no, we don't know who he is.Kira had replied back to the others saying "We have to get him back to the valley so we may be able to get some doctors to help him.

The four had each put in an effort to carry Argus back to the valley.Kira's mother was glad to see the four girls back, because they had been gone for so long.Kira told her mother of what had happened at the water hole.Mel had left to go see if a she could find a doctor for the young hero.

Kira had went back to the water hole to get the water. She looked back as she dunked her large pale into the water. While she had dipped the water she had seen a young man.The boy then said to her"Hello, do you need help with that water pale?Kira said back to him"No I think I'll manage. The boy boy had then said "Who are you"?Kira then said I am Kira. The boy said my name is Shion.

Kira then said well, do you have an extra pale?I may be able to get another palefull, for my family for tommarow.

what... ow....

Argus' mind slowly grew to a state of conscienceness. His eyes quivered and he began breathing heavier.

Slowly he opened his eyes and with blurred vision, peered into the world around him.

He drifted his eyesaround his surroundings, looking around a rather simple room. He was laying in a bed, with a dull pain in his navel.

What happened...? He thought to himself. Oh yeah, Lion Tamer... My knife...

Argus' eyes opened sharply.

My knife!

He brought himself to a sitting position, but immediatly lay himself back down.

Ow... What in the... Oh yeah, I got stabbed. I have to get my knife though...

Argus angled himself, stepped onto the floor and stood. With a slight case of headrush, he wavered in his stance, but after a second cleared his head and started finding his way out.

He was meandering in a house not unlike his own. Simple in design and looked quite lived in.

The pain in his stomach worsening, he looked down his tunic and looked at his wound. A simple piece of cloth was placed on the wound, and was wholly incapable of preventing the wound from opening further.

He took off the small bandage, seeing that the wound wasn't even cleaned, went to the water bucket, scooped what little there was and splashed it onto his wound. With a little scrounging through the house, Argus found much more cloth to wrap around his stomach, with a small swab of cotton to plug the wound itself.

With a drink of water later, he was feeling much more rejuvinated. He quickly found the exit and left from the house.

He walked a few steps before collapsing to his knees in pain. He forgot the deep wounds that his knife inflicted. The forged obsidian blade seemed to cut deeper and wider than a knife its size should.

Surrendering to the calls of his tired limbs, Argus hobbled back to the house and leaned against the wall, clutching his wound. He set his back on the wall of the house and waited for someone to come along, and see if they could get a doctor.

Kira was looking at Shion and was wondering who he was.She asked the mysterious person who he was.He answered her saying that he was the son of the lion tamer.Kira was shocked, she had wondered if he had wanted revenge for the young hero who had helped them. She had asked why he was here.He had replied, I am here to avenge my father.

Argus lingered on the wall for what seemed a long time... What could be taking them? Had they abandoned him? He dearly hoped it wasn't true... He couldn't last long on his own.

But, as it seemed, he now had no choice.

He slowly got up from sitting and felt a sharp pain in his stomach. Not an external pain, but internal. His stomach was in pain from the lack of sustenance in it... He needed food. Did he dare raid the house? Did he go and try to forage something? Find at least his axe and hunt for a bit? He certaintly didn't have the energy for any of that... He just slunk back into the house, found his bed, and lay down to sleep once more.

Mel had returned to find Argus sleeping. She had found the doctor after a short while.Mel checked Argus to see if he had a pulse. Before she could say anything, Kira had come rushing through the door. She was panting and saying, Lion tamer...son...for vengence...of the guy over there...Mel was in shock, as was the doctor.Mel asked"why, and how did he know so quickly?"Kira said"apparenly, he had a messenger to go back to his village to tell the tale of what had happened at the water-hole.Argus could faintly hear what had happened, and had tryed to get up.Kira yelled"no, don't strain yourself".Argus said"It's me he's after, and I won't jeperdize the life of others while there is one breath left in my body.

With that heroic statement, Argus got up from the bed, got up and started for the exit. Anyone in the way parted for him, and he exited the house. Before anyone could do anything, he quickly dahsed off for the water hole again. If he was going to accomplish his plan, he would need his knife. The same knife that silenced the life in the Lion Tamer.

He made his way quickly, having been expertly and properly patched by the doctor, and within half a minute was at the water hole.

He looked around the area for the body of the Lion Tamer. He didn't see it... Someone must have took it. Regardless, Argus looked around in a large pool of blood on the ground, where the Lion Tamer had been.

With extreme luck, he found his hunting knife, pulled out of the body and left on the ground.

He quickly picked it up, inspected it, found it to be good condition, and cleaned it before slipping it back in it's holster.

More ideas brewed.... He found his axe on the ground still, picked it up and quickly went off for home, to prepare.

A minute of running later, he paused and caught his breath. Normally he could run for home from the water hole in less than five minutes, but with his wound, he had to conserve energy. He went off at a powerwalk back for home.

Ten minutes later, he arrived. He propped his axe against the wall of his small cottage and entered his garage, a lean-to addition beside the simple house. It doubled as his smithy, where he forged the weapons and tools he used on his farm.

He found what he was looking for... Main Gauche, a sword he had made, forged from a solid ore of iron and mixed with bronze, to form the alloy he called "Knightium". Whether or not it had an official name was beyond him, since he mixed the alloy and the proportions of metal himself, that's what he called his particular mixture.

The sword was light, quite light. It had a wide cover over the hilt of the sword, almost as large as a buckler between the blade and the handle. The handle was of leather, simple, with the same alloy of his all throughout the composition of the sword.

Taking this noble blade in hand, he held it up between his eyes, looking at the exterior of the sharpened edge. No blemishes or discolorations marred the glinting surface of the sword.

As Argus stepped out of the garage, he passed a pile of metal - which on closer inspection looked to be a bunch of blunted swords, obviously prototypes of his final product.

Argus wandered around his house and picked up a roll of rope. Pure horse hair, it was extremely strong, and could withstand a dagger cut with no trouble.

With his new tools, he went back to the house he was being taken care of, and waited for this son of the Lion Tamer to appear.

Kira was glad as the young hero, Argus had returned. She said to the young man why have you left?Argus sadi to the young girl simply"I had to prepare"

In the time of their waiting they heard a luod scream. At that the young group ran out the door to see where the scream had come from.

And to the shock of Kira, the young girl who had screamed was Laura. And Kira knelt down to feel Laura who was cold adn lifeless by the time they had gotten there. As she looked up she had seen a demonic looking figure who had souless eyes. She noticed that it was Shion. In a blind flash of fury she lept toward him and pucnhed him in the face.

The Lion Tmer's son who was in shock at Kira's actions had asked"Why, Kira".And Kira had shouted"YOU KILLED MY BEST FRIEND!!!YOU, LION TAMERS SON!!!I WILL KILL YOU!!!

No, Argus had said to Kira."If anyone is to kill him, IT WILL BE ME!

He charged forward, using quick light steps to propel himself at a quick pace.

He neared the demon, just as it flung an arm at Argus.

He swung his sword at the arm, but it moved its arm fast enough to not get hit by the blade. Argus jumped to the side, out of range of the demon.

Argus whipped out his rope and made a lasso on one end. He swung this around and threw it at the demon, wrapping around the neck. He pulled and the knot went taught, constricting the windpipes on the demon, if they existed.

Running circles around him, he wrapped the long rope around him several times. While this would restrain a normalhuman without any troubel at all, Argus didn't know the strength factor of this person. He had no real intention of killing the beast.... He would save that for Kira to do.

He tied the rope securely around itself, and kicked the demon down onto it's back.

He waited, with sword in hand, to make sure it couldn't break free. Sure of his judgement, he handed the sword to Kira.

"Here. You want him dead more than I do."

As Argus held the demonic like person down to the ground, Kira had wielded the sword of which she deliver five swift attacks to the neck of Shion.Mel was surprised as she had been seeing a side of Kira she had never seen before.Shion, for some reason still had some fight left in him.He knocked Argus off of him and fled back to his village to fast for Kira, Argus or Mel to stop him.

Kira had asked Argus, "well, now what?"

"I don't know about any of you, but..."

Argus took his Main Gauche from Kira's hands, feeling only instant of her hand.

"I'm going back home. I need to rest before I do my crops."

Slowly he plodded off for his farm, leaving the girls behind.

He stopped.

"I'm... Sorry about your friend, Kira. I wish I could have been there to help."

He continued on.

Tired from a lack of good food and drink, Argus walked slowly for his cottage, to return to his drudgery of a life... Living by himself, the only excitement happening when he had a good crop, which he used the money from it just to save up for... soemthing he didn't know what for.

Lost in his thoughts, he came to his house in twenty minutes. He opened his door and beheld the familiar interior. Simple one-bedroom house, quite small, and boring.

He quickly cooked up a good helping of roast beef and rice. He ate it all down rather quickly. Feeling much better, he went to his water bucket and drained it totally.

Now feeling quite a lot better than he was, he went off to his bed and crashed down on it.

Normally after a meal and day like this, he could fall asleep instantly.

Why couldn't he do that now? Why could his mind not focus on one single thing for very long? Nothing except...

No. He put those thoughts out of his mind.

After an hour, he slowly drifted into a rather perturbed slumber.

Back in the valley lingered the young girls, wondering if the demon king Shion would return. They were quite baffeld at the fact of him killing Laura. Kira still wanted revenge. That anger and stress welled up inside her waiting for the monsterous soul-less man to return and what he would try to do.

Mel was destrought as to why the haert of Kira was cold. What dark secret could she be holding? As to the fact that Kira is always so chipper and happy. What could be making her so weak and weary, what is cuasing the clouds to block her sunny day? She thought "I may never know that answer.

The next day Kira was acting more weird than ever. She was so depressed, andangry at the same time. For some reason she refused to enjoy life, her personality was completly changing, and she was being mean to everyone and was so inconsiderate to the feelings of others. Her mother and friends were starting to get extremly worried.

They had shcuduled an arrangement for all of her friends and Kira to assemble together and talk. They asked her why she had changed so greatly and why she was always so sad lately? They were starting to think that she had taken the death of Laura too hard. They tried to make her forget about her horrible death.... But, for some reason she just couldn't let it go.

Meanwhile in the kingdom of which Shion lived, the people were in distress wondering where their king had gone. Shion had kept the imformation of his father's death in confidentiality for months. But, he had finally dicided to hold a press confrence with the entire village to attend. The people were outraged at what the conference was about and started to riot. While the people rioted, the neighboring kingdoms did not care to try to take-over the village of which Shion lived.

After a while Kira had forgotten about Shion, but not about the death of Laura. The people noticed that Kira's depression was starting to lift and she had gone back to her previos state of happy chipperness. The people were thrilled that Kira was happy once more

But what of Argus?

Living on his own, he never had much human contact.

He grew his crops, he cut them down, bundled them, hitched them onto his horse, and took them to the market to be sold. He lived his life the same as he had the last number of years, since he decided to forge his own life away from his parents.

But through all this, he still had that same lingering feeling he felt that night. It had never diminished once, in fact, rather grew to perhaps a dangerous level.

But, Argus was a stout one. He withstood the vying calls and continued on with his life. Rather, he took a redouble dinterest in his blacksmith hobby. He created many swords, apieces of armor, and drew many sketches for various new designs of equipment. He even made a full armor plate for his horse, and perfected his field plate armor. Through his own determination, he had a better set of armor than the knights of the kingdom did.

But despite all this, his efforts to distract his mind, late at night, he didn't have anything to stop his thoughts. They wandered, and he had difficult times trying to sleep.

After a few months, he decided to set up shop and sell some of his armor creations. They were renowned for their strength, weight and skill in the design, and Argus became rich extremely quickly. He didn't have time to tend to his farm, so he hired someone to come and do it for him. And, feeling he needed more company, he hired someone else to work in the smithy with him.

His assistant was named Minion. He was only a mere boy of twelve years old, but his assistance was greatly appreciated. Not to mention his charming company and respectable wit.

Argus became a rich man in a matter of months, and who was to blame for all of it? Who inspired his mind to focus so adamantly on his new task?

Why, none but Kira, of course.

Kira stopped being misrible and making all those around her misrible. She started to do some thinking about Shion, about Argus. Where could Argus had been all these months? When will Shion return? She thought about what she could have done in the time of which she was in depression. In fact she was starting to think too much. So much, her friends started to wonder was she depressed again. So, one day Mel asked her, "what is the matter?" " Why was she being so wierd again. She answered "I've been thinking, about a lot of things" Mel then said, " don't think too much, your bran could get fried." "Fried, I havn't stffed it in a pan over a fire, I don't understand." Just then some of the boys from the village had run up to then and threw sacks holding water at them. Kira then yelled out "DUMB BOYS!!!" But no matter how idiotic their actions were, they had gotten Kira out of her vegatative state for a while. In other times the boys did quite infintile things that infuriated the girls. Kira had once again thought about somethings. But to her, and all of her other friends, there was a thing of taking a joke too far. Mel was still standing next to Kira wondering what she was thinking about. She then figured out that she was thinking about the boys in the past. She then asked Kira" Hey, Kira, do you remember abck one day when the boys threw Aya in the water-hole? It was a dumb reason... and they kept dunking her in there until she cryed." Kira then replied" It is foolish to thing that a bandage can heal a broken heart. Some wounds are too deep to heal." Mel was in shockat the reply of Kira, it was deep, yet true. Mel was soon starting to wonder what was going on in the head of Kira.

Alright, cool the fire and let's take a look."

Minion splashed a little water on the fire under the anvil and pulled out his creation.

A simple dagger, only one edge was sharpened, and the design was rather crude, but it was a lethal blade nonetheless, more a short sword, standing at a length of eight inches of blade from the hilt.

Argus looked it over and nodded his approval. "Very good, Min! Turned out excellent!"

Minion beamed with pride at the words of approval from his teacher. "Thanks!"

Argus didn't really need two people forging new equipment, just someone to help clean up and keep him on task. Minion's presence vastly increased productivity, even though he had never made anythin until now.

Kira asked Mel did she remember the man who helped us at the water-hole? Mel replied" of course. How can any of us forget?"Kira then said" Well, we never got a chance to thank him"

"Oh, that's right"Mel shouted. Kira asked Mel" Do you think that we should go look for him?"Mel said, I don't know. Do you think we could actually go on a quest?" Kira said" I think so. We are old enough, right?" "True", Mel said. Kira was excited as she yelled out" Were going on a quest"

On the other side of the village, near the market square, a young man walked into town. He was rather tall and thin, and didn't have much apparent muscle, aside from the bag of grain he held on his shoulder. Anyone who was in the market on Saturdays knew him, he was Benjamen from the mill just out of town. He had lived with his parents all his life, and now that they were old was taking over for them. Normally he'd come into town on his family's mule, smiling and giving apples and other treats to the children, however, times had been rough on him recently. He walked towards his favorite merchant, "Gregory, I have some grain for you, it's not as much as I usually bring, I know, but times have been hard... Do you think you could give me a little extra this time? Mother's dreadfully ill, and I do not believe she will live through the winter unless I can buy some more broth for her."

Gregory smiled, "Sorry, Ben, you know I can't. I do hope the best for your mother.. I know how tough things have been since the Lion Tamer killed your dad."

Ben nodded, "The usual price should do, if I bring in more grain next week. Unfortunatly, I haven't been able to get enough wheat from the ground. It's almost as if my father had some secret planting technique..."

Gregory almost laughed, "Your father always said that land was special, if you treated it right. Look, Ben, there are some people, just down this street that will sell you the broth for cheap. But I'd warn you to watch out, thier daughter, Kira has been acting strangly recently. Some say she's under the spell of Shion, the Lion Tamer's son, but a few whispers have heared that there was a man who saved her life when the Lion Tamer came after her, and as payment, he took her soul back to Stovakor. Aah, but that's all nonsense, isn't it?"

Ben nodded again, looking down the road, "Yeah... nonsense..." He began walking towards Kira's house, wondering if the stories were true. He had always wanted to find adventure, but was stuck with the simple life of a millsmen.

Argus looked over a long sword he had finihsed creating. He completed the forging a while ago, but just now added the leather to the hilt, thus completing it.

He turned it around in his hands, and looked at the flawless edge he had created.

He simply gazed at his creation, with what seemed a glum look on his face.

Minion came in, carrying a pail of water. He saw Argus' face and spoke out.

"Ya'llright?"

"Fine, fine..."

"Still thinking about her?" Minion asked as he set the pail down next to the firepit.

"Yeah..."

"Look, if it bothers you this much, why don't you take some time off and go see her? You know where she lives, after all."

Argus' eyes glinted slightly as he lowered the sword. "Yeah..."

He got up from his seat [a comfy rock], hung the long sword on his wall of creations, and went into his house, leaving Minion slightly confused and alone to do the clean up procedures, having just finished for the day. He began pouring water onto the hot embers in the firepit and continued to clean the smithy.

Argus came back into the smithy with a large sack on his back, filled with what, Minion didn't know. Argus went to the wall, took hold of his Main Gauche, hunting knife, set these on the ground, put on a simple breastplate on, and slipped on a cloak overtop of it. He did the cloak up, slipped his Main Gauche and hunting knife into the respective holsters he had for them, tied the sack with a piece of rope so it hung underneath his arm, and turned to face Minion.

"I'll go see her. I can't go on like this, not knowing anything. I'll go, find out what she thinks, and be sure of myself." he said with conviction for his little friend.

"What'll I do in the meantime?"

"Take a couple days off. Maybe help Jenkins with the field, I don't know. You're a smart kid, you'll figure something out."

With that, Argus turned for the door and strode out into the world.

Minion, who at that moment had finished his cleaning duties, left the smithy not long after Argus.

Minion went over to the field that lay behind the house and looked it over. He found the hired hand, Jenkins, and walked over to her.

He made a loud whistle to get her attention. She stopped pulling weeds and stood straight to face Minion.

"What is it?" she bellowed across the distance.

"Argus has gone off to find Kira." he yelled back. "He should be a day or two before he gets back."

"Oh, great. Now what'll I do when I need to haul away these weeds?"

She waved her arm at a rather large pile of what seemed like a large pile of stinkweeds.

Minion, now in close proximity to Jenkins, rolled up his sleeves, got his gloves ready and bent down.

"I'll help ya."

Jenkins did a quick one-over on Minion, sizing him up, and smiled, grateful for the assistance, as she bent down and continued what they were doing.

But what of Argus?

He was about to encounter one of his own, a person struggling to make it by in a tough world that had no mercy for the weak.

He arrived at Kira's house at the same time that Benjamen did.

They both stared at each other, perhaps not too nicely, for a minute before one of them spoke, Argus in fact.

"I'm Argus." he stuck his hand out to Benjamen. "Who're you?
