My god, aren't you a nice bunch of hypocrits, eh? <3 He doesn't like Shadow because Shadow returning became one of SEGA's many downfalls and I agree, I don't really dislike Shadow, but I would of liked him a whole lot more if he'd stayed dead. What he's trying to say, while you all blindly spit out gibberish, is that SEGA is going downhill, fast, and Shadow sure ain't helping because most part of the huge fanbase that Sonic used to have have simply lost interest when it's all plots and twists surrounding Shadow... And I see what he means with Shadow's fanbase lacking intelligence, I haven't seen such a huge group of brainless, recolour making n00bs as the Shadow fanbase.(this is not directed at the Shadow fans in this thread though.) Please, it doesn't take a genius to see that Shadow has outlived his glory, as that died in SA2, where he should of died for good too. I'm actually wondering if this post will get me banned... highly doubtful, unlike Regan, you're not flaming much in the slightest, the onl reason I even said anything, was because neither he NOR Maria robotnik will drop it, saying whether shadow has killed the fan-base is sheer opinion, most people nowadays and that I know(who aren't mindless spammers half the time, like from the last site I went too) either like Shadow, or can be decent enough to respect that someone else likes him, whether he/she does or not. I can honestly respect that you don't like Shadow, so be it, he's a freakin video game character, so in the real world, it doesn't matter, I'm just freakin tired of everyone fighting over "Shadow sucks" "no he doesn't" "yes he does" and so on, and so on. I'm quite happy with how Sega is now, and I honestly wish they would bring more(but more thought out) drama too the series, but if they don't, so be it, that's fine as well. And you guys don't like Shadow, and for whatever reasons you may have, believe that he has ruined the series, fine, I respect that, and I hope that other people can as well, but I also ask that you guys respect that many people DO like Shadow, then we wouldn't even be having to go through this. SO as some advice to both Maria and Regan, It's a bad idea to stress over whether someone agrees with you or not, so please don't waste your and our time trying to convince them otherwise, because chance are you aren't, and then flame wars like this will start up. P.S. the only thing I'm tired of with Sega, is listening to people complaining all the time, when there is really a much simpler answer. :espio:

I base my opinion on that Shadow shouldn't of come back because Sonic Adventure 2 would of put so much more effect on people; a Sonic game where an actual character dies.(Yes, I know of Gamma in Sonic Adventure, but I'm talking living, breathing here.) I was quite disappointed in SEGA when they couldn't keep him dead, cause I thought him sacreficing himself was so much cooler and dramatic. Another character I think should die or not appear ever again would be Silver. Why? Because he's another hedgehog, I'm getting mighty tired of them when Sonic was meant to be the one and only. What makes me dislike the current direction that the Sonic series is going in is that I honestly think it's all starting to resemble a badly made fanfic WAY too much. Sonic Adventure 1&2 were the last two games that REALLY kept the standard. So, go back to Sonic Adveneture 1&2, which would mean kicking Silver, Blaze, Marine and that Mephiles dude off the series and letting Shadow die, then make a Sonic Adventure 3. That Is all...

And.... well I�m repeating myself again.... but killing Shadow off would be a bad mistake. Killing any new character off people just got used to would be a mistake, even Silver. They definately have too much characters, I agree, but instead of removing characters peope like they should stop malking loads of new characters and focus on the ones they have. They really need to work on some chars and on their roles. But the characters are NOT the main problem of the new Sonic games but the gameplay itself.

Mephiles was a one shot character, so I don't think you have much to worry about on that one, and is Marine even planned to appear in another game? I haven't heard anything about her, so I can't really say anything towards Marine, lol. and IMO I don't mind whether characters are hedgehogs or not, as long as the charatcer is likable to me, I'm fine, oh, and you forgot Amy, She and Sonic were the original hedgehogs within the games.

You should read the last posts before replying to someone, Black Knight. He was replying to Regan. And yes, that guy did call Shadow fans unintelligent. Gosh, how pathetic is that? This topic proves that the Sonic fan community is one of the worst communities out there, mostly because of people that don�t accept opinions different from theirs and flaming fictional characters even though it won�t get them anywhere. Shadow won�t go anytime soon so just accept it.

So because there are people who's favourite character was being flamed/hated, thats how the flaming started. And the statemnts that I said were said above didn't help things. Like I said before, because this has turned into a Hate topic, it should be locked.
