Ice Cap Act 1
Heres a list of things that my dream Sonic game would have.

Challenging gameplay, and I mean challenging!
Story co-op, up to 4 players
Soundtrack by Front Line Assembly and Julien K
multiplayer, 4 players

In multiplayer you would have the option of using powers or guns, or both..Basically you wouldn't have to use guns if you didn't want to. You also be able to make your own characters. Online it would be 32 players and the modes would include racing, team battle, battle, some kinda capture the flag-like mode, and team base.

A custom level maker
Lots of unlockables
And LOTS of levels

STEP BACK, ANTI-SPIRAL!
Ten points of the best Sonic game ever

1. FAST PACED. make it so the combat dosen't stop you.

2. Make each level have a 2D and 3D version, so that you can choose between old and new style

3. Include all of the Sonic characters as playable, each with their own special powers

4. Give a story mode where you can make decisions through an open-worlded gameplay and customize your character in depth, being any of the known Sonic species

5. Online and splitscreen races, co-op, and openworld (just wandering around doing random shiz) for a large amount of players

6. Show us what all the Sonic characters and worlds would look like in real life by giving us 1080p HD support.

7. Multiplatform, compatible with each system equally

8. Customizeable levels (compatible with 2D and 3D) in the style of halo3, where you can invite friends to join you and instinatiously morph between the map editor mode and your character

9. A wide range of difficulties (example: Eggplant, Easy, Simple, Medium, Aggrivating, Hard, Impossible, Ultimate Life Form)

10. RPG-style advancement for powers unique to each character (example: Sonic the Hedgehog - Chaos Control [Level 3, 462 XP until level up])

These are some Darn good ideas people are coming up with. Too bad Sega will probably never put them in a Sonic game... -_-

1. A speedy Sonic game- I for one am not a "speedy" Sonic player I admit, but Sonic is all about speed. I would like to have speedy courses, with things like surfing and snowboarding incorporated into them to give you that fast feeling. It's pretty basic really. You can make a level with enemies and fast-paced loops and racing with boards. It could work. It's been done in SA before I believe.

2. Go back to old roots- We need to avoid this complex age of Sonic. Sega needs to stick with one thing, and that should be speed. Just have two playable characters like Sonic or Shadow, avoid using too many like 15+ or so. Sonic needs to be concentrated on, he doesn't need to be distracted by other characters (maybe one or two others, but not many). Also, remakes of original Sonic games in 3D would be neat. Avoid Shadow's weapons, and concentrate on his speed, as weapons do get distracting and take away from Sonic.

3. Eggman and Metal Sonic- avoid too many "new bosses". Eggamn is still Sonic's rival, and should live up to that hype even in the newer games. Other bosses are ok if affiliated, but Eggman and Metal Sonic should be Sonic's main bosses in my opinion.

4. Avoid cheesy story lines- Please don't try to kill Shadow and bring him back to say he's ok in SA2B, same with Sonic in STH06. That just ruins his future somewhat. Please make logical stories. This isn't the biggest issue, but it should be rewarding to have a good story with meaning and not just reviving those that have died. Just get a simple storyline and you already have a good game, nothing complex.

Now put these four basics together and make the game Sonic and Shadow, a fast-paced adventure starring only two chracters, or something similar. While many don't like Heroes, I thought it was good, because it reverted to many of these aspects (eliminating rule #4). Now make a similar game to it without teams and more fast-paced, then it would be great. Sega needs to relax and not try to do too much in on game. They should just go back to basics, or close to it.
