Before the rumors start spreading, (such as "OMFG. Cy-Fox can't beat a game for once!"), let it be known that I was playing this literally all night to the point where I had to drink milk to stay awake.

Anyways. I'm playing the very first Resident Evil, the PC version based on the PS1 one. I'm playing as Jill Valentine and I've saved Chris Redfield and Barry Burton. Now all I have to do is face the final Tyrant....without any .357 Magnum rounds, or grenades and low health. I hear that at some point in the fight, the helicopter pilot Brad drops a rocket launcher.

Does anyone remember exactly what time that happens?

Ah good, my specialty, Resident evil is one of my favorite series. Well Cy, if you want to know, There is no set time period to get Brad in the helicopter to drop the rocket launcher for you. He will drop it once you have done enough damage to the Tyrant. Once you have damaged him enough time then Brad will drop the Rocket launcher for you to kill the Tyrant off finally. SO you dont need the magnum. Just get strong weapons and some health and shoot him with all you got. Be sure and have a spot for the rocket launcher too. That could be coming with empty space or using a herb.
I'm a gamer and always will be a gamer. If you don't believe me. I have 430 Video Games and 19 Consoles.

I doubt you could beat that unless you are a gamer as well! =P

So, let's see if you can outdo "The Jet Gamer"

Ah. Thanks. I managed to use an older saved game to conserve my .357s. But I still had low health. I found that doing circles around Tyrant after emptying the Python in his face makes it easier. Brad dropped the launcher at around 17 seconds, I picked it up, ran like Ted Kennedy from a car wreck and unloaded on him.

*twirls Auto-9 into holster plate* Thank you for your cooperation. Good night.

The snake is easy to beat, especially in the remake version when you encounter him for the second time in the library. I can defeat him with that simple weak Knife. Takes alot of time, but I'd rather do that and save the ammo.

Resident Evil is simply one of the best put-together games that I've seen. The only gripe I'd have with it is the syntax used during voice acting. Wesker's sentences sound like something out Alice in Wonderland. I have yet to browse the thrift stores for Resident Evil 2 and 3 for PC.

I think the console version are more worth it, especially you would want the gamecube versions of all these games since they are the most up to date. Other than veronica X for the PS2, and your choice of any one of the RE4's.

GC is very cheap to buy.

Game Boy Advances sure as heck aren't cheap, at least not for me. I picked up a GBA SP for 60 bucks (lunch money amassed over...oh...3 months XD). The guy didn't provide a power adapter.

The GC versions aren't that up to date. 2 and 3 are just ports from PS1 so the graphics still suck. I've played the Dreamcast version of 3 and it looked slightly better than PS1, but barely.

PS2 just has Outbreak 1/2, Code Veronica X, and RE4. GC has all of them except outbreak.

Yeah,. I know 2 and 3 are still ports, but for those two, that's the best your going to do. And unless you can get online play, Outbreak is fun on your own, I know I've played it, but it's missable if you really want to miss them.

Yea, Resident Evil series has always been scarce in the ammo department. I for one love to go into a game and lay down some lead!
I am definitely a Resident Evil series lover, can't wait for Resident Evil 5 to come out!! And have preorder Resident Evil 5 .
I thought RE4 on PS2 was awesome and i've seen the trailers for the new one and it looks even better.
Here's a trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1KKJ2VM4BA
