I've decided to set the competition to use Counter-Strike 2D and AssaultCube, and I'm looking into SRB2. The good thing is, these will run on mostly anyone's computer and they're legal and free.

Getting better all the time
I have a mac too, but all you have to do is be able to go into the base code for it once you download it and try to fix some stuff. That's also how you get songs into non-mac mp3 USING itunes.
Well, being a techky (what they called us computer nerds) and actually taking lots of courses for this helped to but, XD
If I can make it compatible in a legal way, I'll try to put it on here how I did it.
