well sure the graphics are going to get better, but i dont care how good the graphics are on ps3 by the end of its lifecycle, to me it just seems like their strategy is, "we may have the exact same games that you've been playing on every other system, but our games will look better" people are getting too caught up in the whole "o, wow those graphics look incredible" to realize that they are play the exact same games but with different settings, i mean, to me, all resistance is is ps3's gears of war, except the graphics look pretty much the same, the last time i checked, i play games for fun gameplay, not to be like, "omg, look at this detail!!!" sure graphics dont hurt but they are getting to a point where people care more about how a game looks then they care about whether or not its got anything new to offer

Well you could say the same exact thing about the first Xbox and the 360, because most of the games on it were on Xbox and PS2. Their whole selling point was better graphics and PS3 will have lots of different games. They both will have their own exclusive games not all of them will be the same. Resistance won't be anything like GOW I don't think. GOW looks alot different gameplay wise. Only games from EA(I like to call them the whores of gaming. :D ) and other normally multiplatform games will be the same.

sure that was their marketing scheme but im talking about myself mostly, i dont really care about graphics, i bought a 360 and i one 360 game for it that i dont even play, i mostly play original xbox games on it, yes the new systems will both have their exclusive games, but for the most part, microsoft and sony are just trying to better each other's best games, like how halo and halo 2 came out, and then ps2 came out with killzone to go against it, and im not saying the games are going to be that same gameplay wise, but it just seems that one company comes up with an idea and then the other takes the same idea and tries to better it

True, but Killzone wasn't always a Sony game. They recently aqcuired the company after Killzone came out. I don't really care about graphics either, but I don't like it when they're horrible.

i dont care what graphics look like at all in less it gets in the way of the game, like if i cant see an enemie because the game is too dark, or if the game lags to the point of being unplayable, i would rather play my old sega genesis then play some of the new 360 games
