I feel like my writing's never going to get anywhere, like I'll never find any confidence in it. I try and I try and I try, but no matter what, I can't seem to get it to work. Maybe I just don't have the talent for it? Maybe I'm just supposed to be a lawyer, or something... pissy like that? More important than that, I feel worthless to my friends. I lost one last Monday because I defended gay-marriage to him, convinced him that I was right, and so he went home to his parents telling them about it, so now I'm the bad influence he's not allowed to talk to. Meanwhile, I set some other old friend off, and now he seems about ready to cut me off. The others seem tired of my constant depression, never asking how I feel, ignoring it when I say I'm not doing well. There are precious few who hear me out and take a sympathetic view. I'm scared of losing what few I have left.
