Number of Members: 4/10 Ok, not very many members at all, but for the created date it's great(too bad I'm not taking that into account on this section of the review) 40 members does mean your forum is out there though and much better than the forums that never get up to 10 members.... Number of Active Members: 8/10 Out of the 40 only a few have no posts and most of them have above 10-15 posts. Good job there, keep them posting by doing interesting stuff. Number of Posts (spam or otherwise): 5/10 Your board has a good member to post ratio. An average of 34 posts per person. However it is only 1,300 posts total. Not too great. When I started SB I did tons of posting to encourage members to post. Ya know like making tons of topics that are interesting and create discussion. My suggestion is make more threads with discussion value and more will post, but don't let that distract you from SB. Appearance (first impressions): 7.5/10 Ah, it was not so great at first, but I see you have changed it. While nothing impressive, it is nice on the eyes and flows very well. Good job on that. I'd suggest adding gradients to your titlemedium and darkrow2 areas though. Here's a guide that shows you what everything does in the CSS. http://docs.zetaboards.com/skinning/invisionfreecssguide Layout: 7.5/10 Ok it's good, the first few categories have forums that all relate to eachother in it. Good on that, but you have the advertising in the fan workshop. I'd move that somewhere more fitting like the last category or preferably a whole new category as it would make the last one have way too many forums in it compared to the rest... Wouldn't flow. Originality: 6.5/10 Ok, the originality is decent and passing. Mario and Sonic so far hasn't been done much, but I wouldn't exactly call it original since you're just combining two forums into one, which should get a lot of interest though. The originality of the category/forum names and forum descriptions are ok. I would try to come up with even better ones. Not that the ones you have are bad, but some that are just really good and make people say "whoa! That's an awesome name/description". Moderation: 8/10 You have 3 staff members. Perfect for that size of a board. I wouldn't suggest adding more until it gets bigger. Activity: 7/10 21 active topics today and all of the forums have posts either from today or yesterday. While the activity is not so great, I gave you a 7/10, because of how new your forum is. The activity is great for this new of a forum. Overall mark (out of 100): 73/100 |
