The Sonic cast is big enough now, but with the fancharacters? It'd be the Sonicverse equivalent of everybody becoming friends with the queen of England. It'd be all right if this was occasional, but it's just ridiculous. Quote: But what if you want it to be a character that appears in the storyline? I mean, honestly, it's kind of silly to make a fancharacter that can't communicate or have anything to do with the main characters of the series. I love the art style, and then canon elements such as locations are good. Also, it sets an excellent "standard" for abilities and powers. Sonic already has fast rival hedgehogs. He doesn't need anymore. OCs should fill in other places, and have different skills than the official characters. Then my character is officialy useless.

I mean, to be honest, the real characters aren't gonna really know your characters. It is only my opinion though. I was a fan of having my fancharacters be friends with the main characters when I first started out, but now I understand that it really is pointless.

True, (Mister Rogers did after all, win the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny) there are exceptions to every rule. But truth is, it's been done so many times (and by so many horrible authors) that it's rather boring. I'm sure that there's someone out there that's good enough to pull it off in a readable way. On a note unrelated to the quote, I was wondering about proper character height/weight. I was looking back on some things from my horrid little childhood, and saw that when I was 11, I was just under 5' and 60-something pounds. I'll admit I was a twig back then, but Sonic characters are kind of noodly too. Is 70 pounds really an accurate weight for someone who's three feet tall?
