No they need to make a good game that's not going back to how it was in the 90's... Then it's just a shallow game w/no story. Something like that wouldn't pass now days unless it's on a handheld. We need to progress instead of going backwards. As long as it's good and they make good ideas and execute them well. They've made some good characters. You only hate those characters because they're new. No matter what you will never like any new characters. I didn't hear you saying Knuckles sucked when he was new...

I just want a game whit Sonic, that can actually beat the plumber guy. No. Sonic Riders 2, has nothing to make up whit. Then maybe a racing game whitout the boards. But i don`t now. 2d is the best alternative, work on that and put the great gaming experience from there into the the 3d world again. As i think Adventure 1 & 2 beats all of the last games on 3d.(I don`t now about Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic Rivals, haven`t played them) This means that they need to go back in time, and start thinking about their success instead of a new version on Sonic Riders, because i think it will not make it to good. |

Well even Shadow could beat the plumber guy. I don't know if you've noticed by his games on GC have been very lackluster. Also going back on their success won't work, because their success was on a 16 bit console. Things have changed and a game like that wouldn't sell anymore. |

I kind of liked Sonic Riders, and wouldn't mind seeing a sequel, as long is it is BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL, which is what sequels often fail to do. However, I do want to see more adventure-style games, as well as more classic-themed games. A number of the new characters have become part of the Sonic world well, like Shadow especially, as well as rouge and cream. However, there are some crappy newer characters. Big, you can die. Slowly. No one wants to fish in a Sonic game. Not even you. |

Well, Sega is currently making progress... off a cliff. They are going in the wrong direction with the series. Its going down a similar path to that of Crash and Spryo. Adding too many characters and making lesser and lesser quality games. So making it like in the 90s would be good cause than it could back up and choose another path to take. One that wont drive it off a cliff. |

Comparing Sonic to Crash and Spyro? Ouch. Those were great games, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. They still are, in fact. Heck, my girlfriend and I sometimes play Spyro even today. Hopefully Sonic won't drop THAT low. That would suck. T_T |

Just because you aren't going the right direction doesn't mean going back to when you were successful is the right direction. The success back then was because games were different, it doesn't mean it would make a great game in this day and age. Now you need more than just gameplay. I'm not saying gameplay isn't the first priority, but you need more than just great gameplay now days. |

Exactly. A great point. One thing they might need to change a little is the storyline. I know it has to have chaos emeralds and Eggman/Robotnik to be a real Sonic game, but they could make the story a little more unique than they have been, yet still actually make sense. |

What Sega needs is to reinstate the chao garden as a full game not a minigame, a Sonic game with a great storyline but without Shadow screwing up the game, and possibly make a game starring Cream. They need to add more quality elements to the games without a mass of new characters, rushing the game, or going back to 1991-1998 Sonic games and make sure online multiplayer is enabled if on a next gen system. |

Oh man, that's one of the best ideas I've heard in a long time. I'm surprised I didn't even think about it. -_-u Sonic with online multiplayer racing. That would be one of the coolest things ever if done right.

I knew Sonic the Hedgehog wasn't online, but Sonic Rivals? I thought for sure that one was online. Why the heck wouldn't it be? Was there a reason for that? Like, intense lag orsomething? Or did they rush the game again? -_-u |
