Warning: Has a few Spoilers. Silver the hedgehog is the newest hedgehog hero that first appeared in Sonic The Hedgehog Next-Gen. Yeah, he is my favorite character so I decided to make a topic about him. In my opinion, Silver is very fun to play! (Even though I can't beat his final boss Iblis) I really bothers me though that he is slow. It's probably due to him going back in time, but even n Flame core he is Slow. I especially like the part that he can use Psycokinesis. What is your opinion about Silver? |

Silver is another character to add to the sonic franchise. Whilst I have not personally played the new games with him in it, he looks quite good although he appears as stubborn as knuckles. Piccie.  He uses psychic powers, but he is slower than sonic. |

You can no longer sit down and post quietly in a topic and then come back in a couple of days and stll understand the thread of the discussion. Nowadays, the overflow of posting and the stupidity of some members is annoying and degrading. People have no care for what you post anymore, they simply see it as a means of furthering their own post count and making themselves look good. It's all flashy signatures and huge egos and trolling and noobs. Good forums died long ago when people weren't such twats. And that, good people, is why you won't find me much on this forum. Because I was buried under all the crap everyone made when they came in. | |

Silver is pretty cool and you need to catch the meteor that Iblis throws at you with pyscokinesis then throw it back at him to beat him after you inflict 50% damage by throwing the small meteors he drops at him and charging pyscokenesis on his head when his is still and the green symbol is seen. |

i still prefer shadow even though they have wrecked his image he is still stronger seen it where they are fighting he chaos controls and kicks him down  then they both and a portal thing

Yeah he's cool. I think he looks good and his powers are cool. Shadow still got the upper hand in that one part, but I think he could have easily lifted him in the air and he couldn't have done anything. |

Well, I like his gloves and shoes. I have to admit, those look awesome. His eyes look pretty cool, too. I like his psychic powers aspect as well. Do you think they worked hard on his name, though? -_-u And I'm not sure that they NEEDED another hedgehog. I mean, if Sonic is the hero, and Shadow is the antihero, then who is Silver? And on a totally unrelated manner, why do all of their names start with an "s"? One thing I don't like is the wierd "hairsplosion" on the front of his head. I know there is only so much you can do to change his appearance from that of Sonic or Shadow, but still. I mean, it reminds me a bit of Yu-Gi-Oh. And if I am playing a Sonic game, I DO NOT want to be reminded of Yu-Gi-Oh. All-in-all, I kinda like somethings, and others, not so much. I haven't played the game yet though, so I suppose I might like him more AFTER I actually get to play the game.

...A Mink? Wow. That actually might have worked, if done right. Do you know of any character sketches of the mink version of Silver? That sounds kind of cool. Even if it was a bad idea, did they HAVE to make him a hedgehog? There are alot of other species out there. Surely one of them would be suitable for a strange change in hair color and the addition of psychic powers. ...Um...Then again...When you think of it that way...Maybe not. -_-u |

I just love Silver! Silvers story is the funest out of the 3 and the funest out of all the Sonic games, even more fun then Sonic Riders! That took alot for me to say. Sonic is still my favourte thugh, but Silver is next, followed by Blaze then Amy. |

I do believe I'm going to get flamed for this, but what the hey. I dislike Silver. He's my least favorite video game character of all time. He's yet another hedgehog, which is getting annoying, and does Sonic need anymore characters? And I know they wanted to put another character in 06, but why make another? Why not put an already existing character, like Tails or Knuckles? And I find his voice as annoying as Charmy... there, I said it. Now I'm going to run like hell!

Bad idea to me. Since when do hedgehogs use telekinetic powers? This isn't pokemon. We have enough hedghogs and Silver is quite eccentric to the others. This idea was just as bad as werewolf Sonic. Where Sonic Team comes up with these horrible ideas, I don't know. Silver helped to ruin both Sonic's and Shadow's image. I haven't played Sonic 06, but Silver is one reason I don't want to.

I can't say I've actually played a game with Silver in it (aside from "Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity", though that's hardly a good way to get a feel for him XD). I actually like his quill design... It's unique and rather cute (even if it is a pain in the butt to draw XD). As for liking his character... I'm not sure. I really want to like him... But I'm still sorta sitting on the fence with him. It may be because I've only seen cutscenes and read transcripts where he's involved, but I don't feel I've got a good enough feel for his character. I don't understand his personality, so to speak... In "Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)", he seems somewhat careless and headstrong to me. Very easily influenced, and rather dependent on those he is close to... A kind-hearted and helpful side... Perhaps a little bit easily distracted? I'm not sure about that one though. However, in the "Sonic Rivals" series, from what I've read... He still seems headstrong, but I couldn't pick out any of the other traits I'd previously associated with him. He seemed much more rude... Even a little nasty, with the "MY business first!" and "I don't have time for you!" attitude he has going on... In other words... I liked him in "Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)", but wasn't too sure of his appearances in the "Sonic Rivals"... That's why I'm really hoping that he'll appear in "Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood" or the rumoured new season of "Sonic X" - I really want to get to know him better! |

I think they should just ban him from Sonic games altogether, and he can be the werewolf, not Sonic.

Uhhh yeah. When did you get back, Cookie Chomper? Anyways, I happen to like Silver a lot. He is blatantly immature, headstrong and heroic to the point of obliviousness, but lacking the independence to carry himself with a bit more dignity and portray the role of a hero more naturally. He's really nothing more than a baby who's been forced to grow up in highly unfortunate circumstances. This makes him contrast a lot with the other heroes who have infinitely more confidence and experience than him, ironically making him one of the more human characters and therefore easy to like for me. On the flipside in the Rivals series, he is a heck of a lot more rude and attitudinal. He is obviously still a marshmallow, but he's much more quick to anger. If he does make more canon appearances (which is more than likely), I'm hoping they'll delve more into his softer side, because seeing him utterly choke and cower in Amy's presence is when he is the most entertaining. |
