 I have always been deathly afraid of tornadoes, deep dark holes, large crowds, and change.

I think my fear of tornadoes and deep holes kind of stem from my own imagination, as neither one of these things had much of an impact in my life. I just find them creepy.

But being an adult, I find change to be very scary. I will probably find change to be scary even when I am in my eighties, if I live to be that old. And large crowds, well, you can be mauled by them!
