We are still watching Posts: 3,486 Group: =SB= Kings Member #3,975 Joined: November 29, 2007 Gender: Male Country: United States of America Steam ID: cy-fox	Introduction This is going to be a regular series of updates that I'll be doing here at the beginning of the new month, essentially a summary of changes and a view from up top on how things are. So without further ado. Leadership Team Effectively as of today (October 9, 2013), Neo Metallix has not been present on the board since July 28, 2013. As the most senior administrator on the board, I am assuming his role as interim lead until he can be reached so that he can clarify if he is planning to return or if someone should permanently assume his role. This means all disciplinary appeals, staff assignments, etc. are in my hands, as well as site upkeep. Blaire will be assuming the role as my assistant and in the event that something occurs where I am gone for the long term (which I highly doubt will happen, save nuclear apocalypse), she will assume my role. Eevee has been upgraded from his global moderator role into a full-time Administrator role. Miracle has been shifted to Former Monarchs because of her inactivity. Forums that previously referred to her and Phoenix-Saturn as moderators have been devolved back to defaults. I will be considering possible replacements for the moderator role left open by Eevee's ascendance. This will be based on observation and the overall opinion of the rest of the team, so please *do NOT* solicit me or the other staff members by PM or e-mail for a role. If you stand out as appropriate, we will likely end up speaking to you. Member of the Month There's been an issue with the Member of the Month system, the actual award file itself is linked to a Photobucket account that seems to have been expired or deliberately shut down. We'll be working to construct a new award on a more reliable account that all of the staff will be able to access. Site Upkeep Folks have reported problems with the skins and systems but the information is rather sparse. Please PM me directly with details on the issue. I would specifically like to know: What skin you are using Where you were when you saw the problem. If it's global, just indicate it's global What operating system/device you're using and its browser Any error messages that may have come up. Exact wording or screenshots would be great. Remember, send these *directly* to me. Activity/Social Media/Advertisement Our overall userbase has hit a slump. Whether it's related to the season or just overall disinterest, I can't say. I can tell you for those of you that are new, that this wasn't how things were earlier in the year, or the last few years. When we have topics to spark discussion, it is Grand Central Station in here. Honestly, the whole restriction on the Shack for instance to devolve a new topic is a bit heavy handed, so I'm rescinding that as of now. Also, I intend to construct social media pages for systems like Facebook, Twitter, Steam, etc. We'll likely be putting a staff member in charge or create a social director role with assistants and staff oversight. Feel free to advertise us in other forums and sites, but make sure to follow the rules that these sites may have. Tell your friends about us. 2014 is soon approaching and a new year resolution to have a rip-roaring community would be fantastic to fulfill. That's all I have folks.
