 I definitely know how you feel, back when I was a teenager I didn't necessarily hide the fact that I had a huge crush on Raven from Teen Titans and needless to say my father would mess with me and wonder why the hell I always spread my pictures of Raven in front of the chair I would always sit in. (Yeah it was really that bad...) Like others have said, finding someone with the same interests as you will definitely help with your obsession. I'm still obsessed with Raven, but not nearly as bad as I was when I was younger/single. Dating someone will definitely help with your crush on Sonic, i'm sure you'll still like him even when you do get a bf, but just not as much as you do now. For now I would try not to talk about Sonic that much in front of your mother, it helped when I wouldn't talk about Raven that much in front of my father. Is it a mental disorder? Heck no I don't see it that way, you just happen to have a huge crush on a fictional character many people do. I mean remember when one of the girls who dressed up as Shadow admitted she was madly in love with Shadow at Sonic Boom?
