Yep.

Well, no. See, the problem here is that when i installed in a Windows 7 system, games worked really well, but the modem, the thing i use to connect to the internet refused to work. We called the owner of the company who made the modem and they said that they don't support Windows 7..for some reason. While i liked that my games worked again, i need the internet as well otherwise i'm gonna die of boredom pretty quick. I use ComboFix, which works kinda different then the other anti viruses. My brother recommended me to only use it once in a while, once in a week or a month. Upon launching it, it scans your computer and deletes any virus it detects. ComboFix however didn't help that time and didn't erase the virus. but eh, i don't truly need any recommendations anymore since i got rid of the virus by installing a new system in. What the virus did, was every once in a while it created an odd file, presumably a trojan or some other virus. It shown it in the task manager, and i found where it created the files in Disk C. I doubt the virus is there anymore, as it doesn't do that anymore and it's been nearly half a year now since i installed in the system and nothing really new happened besides games not working. Though in about a month after i'll move into a new house, my fellow mother said that she's gonna call in someone who knows his stuff on computers, so i guess that will be my chance to get the laptop all fixed and ready to play again. |
