It's probobly not news to you all, but there has been a devistating earrhquake in the pacific, and Japan has suffered. Many of us wish them the best, but major companies, specifically video game companies based in japan, have decided to help out too.

Sega has been selling iPhone Applications for a while. Sonic 4:Episode 1 was released on the app store, along with some classic titles. Well, sega has not only lowered the price of these games, but decided to donate the profit.

App Store

::FROM NOW THROUGH 3/20, 100% OF SEGA'S PROCEDES FROM SONIC THE HEDGEHOG iOS TITLES WILL BE DONATED TO THE RED CROSS DISASTER RELEIF EFFORTS IN JAPAN::

As added incentive, the price of the following titles has been reduced:
Sonic Spinball: $0.99
Sonic the Hedgehog: $1.99
Sonic the Hedgehog 2: $2.99
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Eps 1: $3.99

So if you have an iDevice and want to help out a bit, and scoop up some retro games while your at it, make sure to go get some sonic apps.

Oh, and if you're a street fighter fan, CAPCOM is doing the same thing.
