Mushroom Hill Act 2
|
Alright well first of all, the GFX Army in the past has done their job. As you can see in the GFX Army Work Zone all of the requests were filled out. You can find gsoft, sMY, and me working on Oil Ocean buttons/banners. sMY and me worked on avatar contest awards. Gale made a collapse thingy for the S&K skin and well that's it. Pretty short eh? That's all the work there was. Everything asked of us was done. Right now we have no work to do. Even the Artistic Requests section has been slow. Four GFX Army members helped out, not just one or two in particular. Now on to the other problem with requests. First of all the Artistic Requests section is a freaking mess. Just take a look for yourself. There's a few rare gems that are actually reasonable and actually make sense. Stuff like this are one of those few gems. Note on how it got completed too. When we see rediculous things like this that make no sense at all or just not reasonable for a GFX Army member (yeah I know what a WAD is) you can guarantee it to not be completed. It's called the GFX Army for a reason, we make GFX lol. Stuff like sprites as well isn't exactly something I can do myself or any other GFX Army members that I know of can do besides Gale. Not only sprites, but drawings as well isn't exactly the kind of thing many of us "specialize" in. Sigs, avies, buttons, and logos are things all of us can definitely do. This is doable, but also isn't very informative. Why can't the full request be posted? We need a way to fix things like that. Now, in order to fix this I think the Artistic Requests section would need a total rehaul. It would be much more convenient if there was some type of template involved when submitting a request. EX: Type of graphic, stock image, colors, shape, etc. Putting the name/type of the request in the topic title as opposed to "NEEDS SPRITES NAO PLX" or simply "request" may help too. Other things like request limitations and various requirements would stop the constant flood of rediculous requests. Some members submit too many requests at a time. Another thing that may help is to split the Artistic Requests forum into different sections. There are many "You request, I make" kind of topics in the forum. Possibly making another section for that alone may help. Just my view on the whole thing =P. |
