What is your opinion on the Sonic 4 Saga?
I'm one of the few who's had little to no problems with the Sonic 4 games. It's been a fun romp in the vein of old-school Sonic. You know. Happy to see the discretionary Super Sonic make a resurgence and so on; with the 'evolution' (oversight, perhaps) of being able to leave SS at will in Ep 2.

I'll admit, I've had a few gripes, but they aren't all gripes unique to Sonic 4. The only one that is, would possibly Ep 2's over-reliance on the tag moves.

Regardless, I'm taking it as what it is; an enjoyable dose of nostalgia with the benefits of the modern age.

Tired of Super Sonic?
Agreed. Personally, I don't think we NEED everyone pulling a super form out of their behinds; but definitely going back to discretionary use as a rule would be fun.

Especially like in Episode 2 of Sonic 4; where one can just combo with Tails to drop Super.

Though, that said, there are instances where a forced Super mode battle is more justifiable. Like if said battle happens in low Mobius orbit; i.e. Doomsday.

Taylor stretched his arms, then shrugged. "Short version is 'magic.' Longer version: The ambient energy that makes magic work tends to... change depending on the terrain. So the magic you can get near the coastline is a different 'flavor' from what's available up in the mountains. Or near caverns, for that matter. Those who work magic usually get a feel for said energy." He nodded at the end of his explanation, but then shook his head. "I can't find the entrance that way, though." He looked around at the fort with the new knowledge in mind.

The Midnight City
"Sort of, in my case." Taylor nodded. "Big, black, spiky, and hungry-looking? That's... yeah." He hesitated a moment, before pulling a knife from his waistband. "The local powers that be either couldn't strip everything, or are just stringing me along, but I managed to take one down..." He didn't sound overly proud of it. "I wouldn't want to face one in a fair fight, though. There's gotta be a safe place we can hole up and plan our next move before we get ambushed by those things. We should probably be moving." He walked to the end of the alley, trying to figure out the closest way out of the labyrinth of ruined streets and buildings.

The Midnight City
Taylor rolled his eyes. "Let me guess. You woke up around here, with little more than the clothes on your back?" The question, while sarcastic in tone, was directed to both Chiyu, and Flash as he came into earshot. "We're all in the same situation. Give or take an attack by what's arguably a hellhound." Intense red-brown eyes glared at each in turn before their owner sighed. "I guess I should be grateful that we're all at least alive, he muttered.

The Midnight City
Taylor shrugged, tapping Aurora on the shoulder. "Hey. We got more incoming. They still don't look like the beasties from earlier, but..." he ended his statement with another shrug, watching Flash approach out of the corner of his eye. As Chiyu came out and gushed gratitude about basically meeting something not trying to eat him, Taylor tuned him out with a "Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah," rapid-fire. A place like this... he'd honestly expected another attack by now. But he was, by his own admission, fairly paranoid and pessimistic; a result of his 'training' as an assassin by an arguably-possessed fox.

Taylor poked around, too, then he looked up suddenly, staring off into space. Waving his hands around a little and mouthing something silently... Then he came back to himself. "It's... beneath us. There's caverns, under this place."

The Midnight City
"Yep, that's my name. And no, I'd believe you. Pretty much sums up how I'm here..." He turned towards the direction of the whistling. "But I very much doubt it's for no reason," he continued, heading towards the building he'd heard the whistle come from. "Something wanted us here. Judging by the welcome I got, I don't imagine its intentions are anything noble." He looked up at the abandoned building, at the fox in the window. "Hey, you alright up there?" he called up.
