The Midnight City (Expressions of interest)
It's still early on. Unless the GM says otherwise, I'd say go ahead.

The Midnight City
"Yeah, I'm fine, I'm fine. Just... don't go that way. Big, mean, spiky hellhounds that-a-way," Taylor said when the wolf asked if he was alright. "Aside from that, just fine. Well, a bit cold, but... Waiiiit a minute. I remember you. You were with Oakland. What's Oakland doing in a place like this?" he asked quickly. One could only imagine what was going through Taylor's mind right then.

The Midnight City
Taylor let out a sigh of relief, rubbing his chilled arm vigorously. He'd guaranteed his own life for that much longer, at least. Once he'd managed to tone down the pins and needles, he plucked the knife from what was left of the beast's head, unnatural blood still steaming off from the heat of the blade, and turned to look for a different exit. The building being in an obvious state of disrepair, that wasn't so hard... if he could brave the leap. No doubt there were more beasts where that one came from. He looked out the gaping hole in the wall out onto the ruined landscape, seeing a warped street lamp not too far below. "Yeah. I can make that..." He jumped out, caught the lamp, and dropped below among the rubble of what might have been a wall at one point. With another sigh, he took off running. Anything to get some distance between himself and any more of those beasts. Turning a corner, dashing into an alleyway... and nearly colliding with a lost wolf. (Which would be, incidentally, Aurora.) "Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold the phone..." he said as he regained his balance.

Time machine? Anyone?

.
So that line of thought's not working out. Anyone got a time machine?

.
Lightbulb: When Kyubey makes a contract... does it have to agree to it as well?

.
Well my work here's done.

Gonna start blasting the shit outta some robots...

.
It's not an exact science, where I can plug in a desired result and work back to the right input. There's still a bit of variance.
-tosses what looks like scrabble tiles- Here, try those runes. Should reverse the genderbend.

EDIT: Ah. Kota's ahead of me.

.
Aaaaand...

>pop!<

-everyone's back to normal, only now the Shack is covered in a blood-red fungus mat-

Huh. Looks like I pulled everyone from a reality where humanity lives just off Alpha Centauri...

.
-Throws a pair of jeans at Blaire-
That'll cover everything else.

.
Honestly, I see how it could have gone worse.

.
Insofar as I've observed, dimensional manipulation follows similar, if not identical, rules. Hell, I'd go so far as to say magic's a subset of DM. Just... hooked to rituals for ease of focus.

.
You're all doing it wrong.
I swear, magic causes more problems than it solves. Kota, your clothes are in the changing room. Plus a few runes to fix the... other issue.

The Midnight City
Had the earlier blast spooked the beast, Taylor wondered as he noticed it back away. But this was an unvisited dimension, and this hound would seem to be the dominant form of 'life' this place had to offer. It would be suicide to assume it was stupid by any measure. He flipped the knife around, drawing a little of his own blood onto the blade, and quickly hurled it, sending it spinning towards the beast's 'face.' It all seemed to happen in one fluid motion. He focused a moment, feeling a sudden chill run up his right arm, realizing in the back of his mind that this next tactic, while effective if he pulled it off, was flawed without his coat. The power he intended to wield took more from him than he expected, but so long as the knife stuck, the beast was not long for this world, at least not once its head exploded in a gout of flame and gore.

The Midnight City
Taylor was wary as a matter of course, and the condition of the building he'd woke up in, and the fundamental wrong-ness he was feeling only intensified it as he saw the... he wasn't quite sure what to call it. The closest word he could settle on, though, was "hound." He peeked around the corner at the hound, hunger incarnate. It had no eyes or ears, but he didn't doubt the hound knew he was there. He tensed up, watching the beast from his peripheral vision, ready to make his own move when it tried to strike. Then elsewhere, something blew up, shaking things as far as where Taylor stood, causing him to press himself against the pillar to minimize his profile. Once he got his composure back, he'd tighten down on his knife, and spring into action as the beast would pounce, and try to get his knife in someplace vital.

The Midnight City (Expressions of interest)
Yassuh, I'm sure he knows already. It's not wrong to want GM confirmation on something before making the first post.

Also, I don't care if "holdout" gear is "cheating," I'd prefer to err on the side of character concept. Don't worry, he isn't keeping anything "game-changing." I had already listed what got taken away and what got kept.

The Minos Project
Taylor followed the others down the ridge, nimbly sliding down the slope and started heading towards the fortress again. It seemed to him that none of the energy he'd sensed had diminished since the previous day. "Curious..."

The Midnight City
Taylor's eyes flashed open before the first bell faded. The next thing he was aware of was what he wasn't feeling: the familiar furred collar of his favored aviator's coat. My 'Phoenix'... the 'Snipe'... he thought, realizing his favored weapons were gone with it. He could still feel, though, his backup weapons he kept stowed on the inside of his jeans, though he couldn't recall how much ammunition he'd had for the backup pistol. On the other hand, he had no fewer than six perfectly serviceable knives on the inside of his waistband; and a good thing, too, because he heard something approaching, and it sounded hungry. He retreated behind the ruins of a supporting pillar and yanked a knife out of his jeans, watching the only apparent entrance to where he'd woken up, forcing himself to breathe steadily. Fight for my life now, panic and figure out where the hell I am later.

,Jul 16 2012, 09:25 AM]ah, there i fixed the vice/virtue thing. Hope i got it right
At first i was a bit confused, but now i see vice and virtue is a bit like 'The seven Deadly sins' and 'The seven Heavenly Virtues' right?
Not necessarily, to my understanding. Sure, you could use those too, but like I mentioned before, ANY formative personality trait, positive or negative, can count as a Virtue or Vice, respectively. But it has to be a big part of how your character thinks and acts.

The Minos Project
"Only the tower collapsed," Taylor said. The tower had been overly tall for a complex of this apparent size, though, and the rubble spread throughout most of the inside of the wall. "I wouldn't be surprised if we found more to Fort Dustbowl than that..." he added.
