| Yeah. Like I thought. Geez, Taylor thought. He half-smiled at Fang's turnaround of attitude with the newcomer. And a punk, to boot. "Don't be hating, Fang. You don't want it to come around to wax you in the tournament, do you?" He asked, half-jokingly. He nodded to Crio. "Hey. Been some time." |

I can personally attest to Metallix's last point. Though I'm still highly skewed towards the 360. PS3 has more built-in features than the 360, true, but most I don't even use. (Also doesn't help that the PS3 was a recent acquisition for my family, and we've only three games for it.
But yeah, trading in a PS3 for a '360 Arcade model... bad move, bubba. Have fun starting from nils-ville. |

| Taylor stretched to peer through the vent to Lotus' cell; if she was looking, she'd see his face framed with unkempt brown hair and a faint brown beard. But he'd now seen the Lucario's position. "She's trussed up bad in her cell," he relayed to Reaper. "One of us has to bust her chains while the other runs interference. So how about I make things simple and start the noise?" |

| Taylor had a good guess why the wolf was so wary, and it wasn't the obvious reason. Hell, most of the others who'd arrived since Taylor looked either stronger or more competent than he was, making him nervous and seemingly harmless. He shook his head. "My name's Taylor," he said. "Do you... have a problem with me?" He asked calmly and neutrally while struggling to keep a slight quaver from his voice. |

| "I'm all right, and they missed something when they disarmed me. There's someone in the next cell over, too," Taylor called back to Reaper. He turned towards the other cell, hearing its occupant growl. "How's your situation?" He asked. Waiting for a reply, he knelt down, gripped a chain that shackled a leg to the wall... and began chanting an alien-sounding incantation. Within ten seconds, the chain was molten from the wall into slag. Another wave of dizziness washed over Taylor, and he almost fell flat on his face from the disorientation. "Augh, too much." |

| Taylor felt a wave of dizziness wash over him as he tried to stand. He had to use the wall to support him until his legs stopped feeling like jelly. He'd been divested of his rifle, revolvers, and greatsword, but what they hadn't found was a derringer that he'd slipped down his sock for such an occasion. However, upon surveying his surroundings, he decided the gun might not be necessary right now. He heard a voice, recognized it as the guy who'd hired him out before. "Yo." He said, in a weak cracked voice; he felt parched. Although it hurt, he cleared his throat and tried again, his voice sounding a little stronger and clearer. "Yo, someone else there?" |

| Taylor turned towards the newcomer, the wary-looking wolf. "Hey right back at ya," he said, putting the book back in his bag. At the same time, he was watching the dragon in his peripheral vision. There had been... rumors about that one. If he ended up facing the dragon early on, he was certain things would be problematic if such a match became a protracted affair. He would watch if anyone took the dragon's challenge. Subvocally, he said, "Pride cometh before a fall..." |

Oh geez, this again. The 360 came out before Wi-Fi became seriously widespread, so that's why it didn't have the capability built-in. (I think wired connectivity is more reliable, but not an option the way things are set up.) Also. The 360 accessories expand your options, but one can still play 360 games without them. NOT SO THE WII. Most Wii games focus on the casual/party gaming crowd (not that that's bad), usually meaning unless all the players own Wiis, the host ought have four Wii-motes. Most Wii games also ask for Nunchuks, as well, and I can go on. (I don't want to get started on the Balance Board.) All Microsoft asks (other than the fee for LIVE Gold) is for you to have the thing connected to the internet, really.
Of course, this is careening off-topic, but yeah, the could've at least thrown in a DVD player on the Wii, God knows they have access to the tech... don't they? |

First off... My character doesn't exactly fit into Sonic-themed roleplays. (Hell, most roleplays on most forums.) Doesn't stop me from throwing him in there. Best way to get over that hurdle is to at first just bite the bullet and bring him/her in, and later on just embrace the differences.
Second, 'TC is right, throwing an "unfinished" character into a role play also will help you with developing it, so long as you've got the solid foundation of concept, personality and appearance laid. Once again, my character is living proof, and still constantly being tweaked.
...Yeah, as for getting into a roleplay... talk to people about it. Bounce ideas off a few people if need be, see what strikes people's interest. |
