The Minos Project
Taylor walked down the halls towards the lab, dreading the upcoming verbal sparring match. It'd become a routine in the month since he'd officially joined up with the Worldwide Protection Organization, and he'd been 'volunteered' to help their scientist complete her interdimensional portal project... on account of he was able to jump between dimensions at will, so it was assumed he knew something about the physics involved. Like physics has anything to do with it.
Though they were right, he was something of an expert in the matter. And with his help, they had a rudimentary map of the 'closest' dimensions to Ail's world. The hard part was setting up the portal so that whetever they sent through survived the trip. No energy-shield they'd come up with was able to emulate the Planeswalker Spark's protection from the void long enough before failing to keep their test packets intact. He hated to admit it, but maybe they were looking at this the wrong way. He thought about some of the other groups he'd encountered that knew how to travel the multiverse.
He got so lost in thought... he wasn't watching where he was going.

What Are You Playing?
Playing this little indie thing I picked up on Steam called "Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale". Strangely engrossing.

[Solved] Out of curiosity, what happened with LiveFree
No intention of making a scene here. Question's answered as good as I'm gonna get, for asking about something that's not my business. Go ahead and lock it, since I'm done with it now.

[Solved] Out of curiosity, what happened with LiveFree
So, I'm under the impression that LF did something disruptive recently that he was stripped of mod priveleges... and apparently banned?
But I've got it on fair authority that the guy himself was away from his computer for the entirety of the weekend.
Anyone care to explain what went down? I mean, if LF's story is true and his brother took over while he was gone... well, that's why I keep my own computer under a password.

On death Row
Even if Ail hadn't given approval, Taylor would have pursued the counter-ambush anyway. And Ail had picked out the team Taylor would have... plus one, but having a wolf to hand for the op wasn't gonna hurt, he thought. "Yeah. I'm good. I'll need maps of the area to help figure out where they're camping so we can hit them before sundown... Saber, see any suspicious areas coming in?" he asked.

On death Row
Taylor shrugged. "Cain's basically the old ghost that lives in my gun," he answered, before Ail and the other two teleported in. "Yah, jeez," he murmured. "An idea we got is to hit the wolves before they can mount another attack. Send out a small team to hit where they're camping and ring their bells before they know what's what," he suggested.

.
Capitalism, ho!

Guh, why's "Recettear" such a riveting game?

.
Capitalism, ho?

On death Row
"Too many non-coms to take offense. We're expecting another wave by next sundown," Taylor said. "Though, that gave Cain an idea. Take in a small team for a pre-emptive surgical strike. Bleed 'em before they can mobilize their next assault. Pursuant, of course, to the permission of the local royal family. I don't work for them, but it'd be wise to get the take of the powers that be on any plans we make before we take action."

On death Row
"No radio or the like? But the tech you guys had during the Mobius incident... It's not public stuff here, huh?" Taylor asked, before being distracted by Brandon. "You mean to say that you've made a successful, portable dimensional displacer? A, uh, planeswalking machine? That is heavy-duty... Look, we should all get in and plan our defense. They might be tougher tomorrow night, but superior tactics can make up for inferior power. And if need be, you've got a pair of assassins, a psychopomp, and one of the Spirit Squad's elite. I'm pretty sure that should bolster the WWPO and the guards enough to weather just about any attack this world can throw at us," he said confidently. Luna, Canrie and Aquis had seen him in action before, among others of the WWPO. Elite vampires, lunatic wolves, there was little difference in Taylor's eyes, they'd punched out of their weight class before.

On death Row
Taylor barely flinched back when Luna snapped at him. "Whoa..." Regaining his composure, he started to wrap her wound in a bandage. "Not blaming you for snapping, I hate using that stuff too. Still, I'd have been worried if you hadn't, it means that it's not as bad as it looked," he said. He nodded to Aurora as he finished dressing the wound. "That ought to do it, Luna. Still, take it easy tonight. If those wolves attack again, we'll need you in top form." He sighed, looking out past the castle garden at the city proper. "We'll need to get everyone who can use a gun armed and dug in. Set up a few crossfire points and funnel the attackers into them..." he muttered, thinking aloud.

On death Row
"I'm pretty sure she's had worse. I'd still rather not take any chances," he said with a nod. He wrinkled his nose; the stuff he was using to clean Luna's wounds was fairly pungent. "Ugh. This stuff stings pretty bad, and it smells like hell, but damn if it doesn't work. That should take care of the surface wounds. Call me too cautious, but I still think she'll need a doctor to look her over and check for internal injuries. But barring any of that, I think Luna's gonna be fine," he said as he stood up.

On death Row
Taylor rolled his eyes. "Kids..." he sighed, taking a small pack off his belt. He seemed to be carrying a bit more gear than he had been before he'd gone his way after last time. He pulled a roll of bandage and a few bottles of unidentifiable liquids from the pack. "I don't need to tell you, but try to hold still. This stuff stings fierce at first..." he said, taking a bit of gauze from the pack, dripping a little of some yellow liquid on it, and cleaning up Luna's wounds. True to his word, the stinging would be intense for a second, but it'd fade quickly, along with any lingering pain from the earlier skirmish.

On death Row
Taylor wasn't gonna look Ail in the eyes; he could tell she was thinking about last time. He'd been offered a place in their organization...but he'd turned them down. Not that he hadn't wanted to join up, but by then he'd already seen several close friends of his killed or worse. Ever since...

Just then, the sound of something heavy and mechanical smashing into the ground broke Taylor from his reverie. His hand stole towards his rifle, just as his mind made the connection with what he'd seen. Spirit Squad? Here? What the... He recognized Saber as she approached, nodding as she asked his name. Mentally, though, he was conflicted. Now this is awkward... To his credit, he shook it off and headed over to help Luna. "Alright, outta the way, gimme some space, she needs real medical attention... someone ring up the hospital or something while I work, will ya?"

On death Row
Taylor observed Kellsho out of the corner of his eye, he seemed to carry himself differently around Aquis. His own encounter; he wouldn't say they had been close, he'd just kind of saved her life, helped her and the others. He hadn't really been all there at the time, either. Love? Probably not. But he couldn't have gone through what they had without becoming close friends with those he'd worked with. Her, Canrie, and Luna, especially. He looked to Ail. "Do what you figure you need to. We'll do what we can to hold down the fort here, ma'am," he offered.

.
heh. Some of us could definitely use a drink right about now.

On death Row
"Hey, Aquis, been a while," Taylor said as he came down. "And Miss Ail. Or it actually is Princess, huh? Sorry about that..."

On death Row
"The hell? How does he know...?" Taylor muttered, cutting himself off and heading down to where the WWPO members were starting to congregate. Hell, he felt he needed to catch up with those he worked with those few years ago... and probably apologize to Ail for never having taken the others' calling her 'Princess' seriously.
