TERMINUS: The Mystery of Mobius
Julia was on the phone, relaying the coordinates to those in the militia taking part in the project, while Cade merely shook his head at Vestra and Zed. "A bit premature, Miss Kroy; we shall be using one of the university's vans to drive most of that distance. Though some hiking will be involved, it may not be as much as you assume. By the time we get there, the area should be cordoned off, and we can go about our analysis without interruption," the professor explained.

Roughly half an hour later, the group, in the commandeered van, would reach the militia's perimeter around the impact site. Several of the trees had some branches removed from the meteorite's passing.

Ouch. That pun hurt.

TERMINUS: The Mystery of Mobius
"Not before they were picked up within the outer ring," Julia confirmed. She was about to go on when the professor cried out: "Got it!" While the conversation went on, the screen showed the supposed path of the meteor after it turned towards Mobius.
"That's... what, in the Preserve? That's a good 20 clicks outside of town," Cade commented, eliciting a nod from Julia and the professor. "Well, we have our location now..."

TERMINUS: The Mystery of Mobius
"Surprisingly little. Satellite feed indicates that the meteor group appeared suddenly just beyond the outer orbital ring, you know, what's left of all those Eggman-era space stations. Moving fast, but on a trajectory just to graze Mobius's outer atmosphere. Fast enough we couldn't analyze their composition on approach. About an hour before it would reach that point, one of the objects emitted some kind of pulse, disrupting the signals we recieved from the observing satellites. By the time we were able to reconnect, one object had veered off course and was already in the magnetosphere, which made it so we couldn't get precise data on its velocity then," Julia explained as Eve inquired, handing a data-storage unit to the professor, who connected it to the lab's main computer.

Cade shook his head. "In English: It was almost too fast to find anything out about, except where it was supposed to go; and when it changed direction, it basically blinded all the satellites until it was too far in to really pick up again. So we won't really know anything until we find where it hit," he translated.

The professor smiled. "Very good, Cade. But between the data from the satellites, and the data from the observatory here, we should be able to work out the impact point rather quickly here," he would assure the group as he worked. On the big screen, an image of Mobius would pop up, with one dot on the planet itself representing the observatory, and other dots over the planet representing the satellites. "It'll take a minute or so to figure out which points of data are useable," he confessed.

"Trust me, get to know him, and you'll want to throw him out of a window yourself."

TERMINUS: The Mystery of Mobius
"In answer to your question, Zed, we do suspect the object may possibly have a passenger. So it was decided to have someone with medical experience present. You were the first to hand, and the matter is urgent enough that we don't have time to pick and choose," the young echidna woman accompanying Zed, name of Julia, rattled off, matter-of-factly. "But we're here because something interfered with satellite telemetry when the object changed course to impact Mobius. We have to locate it before your services even have a chance to come into play," she explained before entering the lab.

Within the lab, Cade and company had finished getting the equipment set up for the professor. "Thank you again for your help, all of you. I've just received a call that the team from the space center have arrived with the data. Between the orbital telemetry and the data here on the ground, we should locate that meteorite within the hour!" crowed the professor. Cade couldn't help but smile at how excited he was about this, he found it infectious.

TERMINUS: The Mystery of Mobius
Cade nodded. "Yeah, the team from the space center's due just about any time now. I'm gonna go in and help the professor finish setting up for when they get here," he announced as he headed into the labs.

no-one ever invites me to parties...

"Dat's hokay, ve haff our own! Hyu ken be the piñata!"

TERMINUS: The Mystery of Mobius
"Yeah, Eve, it's all straightened out, the professor's happy to have some extra help for this," Cade said, nodding to Eve and turning to the approaching Aaron. "Just about, we're waiting for the space guys to arrive with the satellite data. Actually thought you were going to run into trouble with security here, almost," he said. "Now we're just waiting on Vestra..."

TERMINUS: The Mystery of Mobius
Later that afternoon, Cade would be waiting for the others outside the university's observatory building. He'd checked in with the professor and with Julia already, so to his knowledge, everything was A-okay for a set of student volunteers to assist them with the meteorite.

Idk, ghostbusters? Really don't know. Exactly why do you want to kill a ghost?
Because, they're full of boooooo-logna.
Horrible.
Fixed for you.

Depends on whether it's an actual presence capable of interacting with the surroundings, or merely an apparition.

Silly pony. Don'cha know to stay off them shock sites?

TERMINUS: The Mystery of Mobius
Cade looked at the stranger, introducing himself as Aaron, and a... what, a 'String Mage'?
"I'm Cade, pleaure to meet you. They should show up at the campus observatory about three, maybe three-thirty?" he told the others. "And with that, I should be off; class in forty-five." He took the bag from under his seat and started to leave the café, with a wave to the rest of the group.

Well that was a surprise; didn't know that wild Absol could have a Life Orb on it...

I don't know, specifically. Haven't finalized the enchantment, so the magic in it is still... let's call it "raw"?

Literally anything could happen. That's why it's so important that I... why the sudden curiosity, Holly?

For the strangest reason, I've been thoroughly unable to find my enchanted cocoa. That stuff's dangerous if it hasn't been finished.

Well, potentially dangerous.

*Playing Xenoverse*

You got challenged by a player (Level 21)
And I start thinking to myself if he knows that I'm level 80 and this won't be a fair fight.
So anyway I fight him and completely demolish him.
. . . 5 seconds later.
You received a friend request

Well I've made friends in stranger ways.
Lol. In true Dragonball style, even.

Hey, someone change the station! It's time for the Friday Fiasco!

TERMINUS: The Mystery of Mobius
Cade stood up, with a hand on the table. "Oh, is that all, Eve? I'm pretty sure that trying to get involved won't be illegal. I mean, all told, they're not actively trying to hide this stuff. It's more, there's more pressing stuff to call people's attention to," the cat assured the others. "Like I said, they want to get one of my instructors involved, I think he'd appreciate a few volunteers to assist him with fieldwork," he suggested.
