"That... That ain't good," Taylor commented, slightly off his cool. He glanced at Maverick. "Fella, get a grip. You know as much as the rest of us, and do you really want to get picked off in this fog?" He then looked at the ground. "If I had to guess, I'd guess we've the spirit of a succubus or something along those lines. Especially if this is connected to the previous disappearances," he said. How thick can this fog get, though? He wondered silently.

Once again, Mister Laguna is unfavorable, to say the least, towards my use of "ten-dollar" words and turns of phrase in participation of this activity. But he could just as easily turn around and immerse his head in my vat of caviar. Although, for that remark, were he a tangible person, he would probably be standing behind me, brandishing an automatic projectile weapon, no?

"True enough, but most like me aren't as honest, either. And even those who don't have such major secrets hide something; everyone has something to hide," Taylor said. "As for the Stone, it's really just the beginning of a plan. But I feel like I'm missing something here... But there are two things that have to happen if you want it to end the war." Beneath that last statement was the sort of conviction only used when saying that there's no other possible way to do something.

Could be a lot more descriptive with some of these. Can't say much more than that. Reminds me that I ought to, once I've revamped my character's profile, make a 'planeswalker's lexicon' to put in as well.

(OOC: That really never occurred to you?)
Although it was Taylor's idea, he didn't think it would win the war, not like that. "For a spy, you're awful trusting," he commented. "Not to mention that there are too many unknowns for it to actually stop the war." |

"Not quite understanding why anyone would want the Glyphs without the Stone, though..." Taylor said. "So altering the Glyphs would actually rewrite history, as in change what's already happened? Scary thought..." He mused silently for a little bit. "What if, say, somebody destroyed the Stone? No Stone, no tweaking history, right?"

Taylor started to say something, but then shut his mouth and shook his head before speaking again. "You know, that's a very good question. Since, well, people like me shouldn't really get involved in something like this. But get involved, I do, usually. I'll probably wing it if and when the time comes." He tilted his head back and crossed his arms across his chest, muttering something about serendipity, the specifics of which were obscured by a sigh. Then he looked at Grave again. "Got any tidbits on those items they're after, or that something only your group's supposed to know?"

Taylor struggled to stifle a chuckle. Although he was, at heart, a well-meaning person, he knew he was far from innocent. "I suppose any one of those things qualifies as something capable of reshaping a plane... Why crap like that even exists, I'll never know," Taylor said, unaware he was saying it aloud.

"No thanks, I'm not hungry," Taylor said about the honey roll, then got back on topic. "But why would I laugh? Besides, that's one good explanation of why these people live underground. So you don't get nuked from orbit." He paused for a moment. Wonder how many people are aware they're living under siege like this? He broke his reverie by asking, "You, ah, know what they're after, though? The aliens, I mean."

"Uh-huh," Taylor said, feigning boredom to cover his interest. "Excuse me for asking this, but what's your group resisting, anyway?" He wasn't too sure what Grave's aim was, concerning the leather-clad stranger. All in good time...

"Looks like I don't need to introduce myself," Taylor said, with a frustrated sigh. "Though wherever you got your facts, it doesn't seem you got a whole lot of 'em. But anyway... you should at least tell me who you are. It's not like I bite, or go postal for any little thing; I mean, give me some credit. Sheesh." He was already suspecting that Grave had been sent to keep an eye on him. He didn't blame who did; after all, the 'other sort' Taylor identified with had one pretty bad rep.
