By the way MoD, server's up. Don't mind the sound of explosions, that's me meeting my quota for TNT deployment.
Unfortunately I developed a massive case of leprosy and need to get my arse to bed to recover from it. It's a curable leprosy you see, maybe tomorrow TNT fixes everything. -affixes a brick to MoD and taps it, runs- |

I was wondering when he'd show up... (He's a role-model to IT people every where...) Am I? Seeing as I tried to register the number (419) 666-6666 to be my direct line at Magellis Systems (Network Security Department chief), and I get off on testing overcharged Power over Ethernet systems on the machines of our resident lusers... |

I am not saying this to be cocky but since work in a IT field and has training in hacking, I want to take a shot. xD -swoops down from the roof and puts a fiber optic garrote around Shad's neck- I'm Batman Cy-Fox. Drink coffee for breakfast, eat Cisco ASA firewall configurations for breakfast and crap access control lists at noon. In any case, it's good to have another IT person here. |

While 3D fighters are easy to play and easy to master.
You could say that the learning curve -shades- is flat.

I'm gonna assume the control scheme isn't that far off from any 2d fighter, ami right?
Pretty much. Jump, crouch, advance, back that sh*t up, quick atk, med atk, heavy atk, DRRRIIIIIIVE and everything else is pushing multiple buttons at once.
So someone who has played Soulcalibur and adapt easily? I'm far too excited for my own good. |D
Well hopefully you enjoy it... -shades- While it lasts.

| Round 1: Garret Ranson vs. "Cy-Fox" |

View full topic |
| As Garret rushed him, the nanometal armor formed around Miles' chest and part of his abdomen, with the limbs being of a lower priority. Center mass was what he would've went for and they didn't call it smart armor for nothing. A round was lodged into his soft armor, causing him to stagger backwards, but as the armor filled in, the bullet was flung out. Throwing down the rifle, he drew his right arm back, with it transforming back into the armored state as he thrust his fist forward. Smokey Bear, meet Sledgehammer Fox. |

I know Metallix specifically said that the enable/disable name color option wouldn't work, but couldn't you just make two versions of each skin (one with colors and one without), and have one bar that chose skin and the other that chose if you want colors or not (which would select which version of the skin).
No because the colors for the ranks were universal and did not change for skins. It is not possible. However, if you want colors back I'll put them back even if they are eye searing or unreadable in certain skins. They will be different shades however, not the same exact colors. I'm thinking a lighter blue. I will not bring back the font though, it was just.... Well it really wasn't that great. Yeah, the scripture font I can agree was a bit weird in contrast to the rest of the bunch. |

| If it's not such a dire issue, why not just allow the community to pool together as a small engineering team to tackle it instead? |

CTRL + F > Type in member's username.
If you're too lazy to do that, then I can't help you.
It's a de facto standard across several systems. Yeah, I can see how it's not plausible to set up separate skins to fit everyone's aesthetic appeal or to set up custom controls with the closed-source methodology that Zetaboards employs, but just bleaching everything out is a massive, massive 180 degree turn here.
Just get everyone together, review all the skin subsets and agree upon a standard of colors that will stand out uniformly. If we need manpower to read, tweak and test the code, we could get it. It'd be a lot more progressive than this argument. |
