Take it from someone who gets older hardware and such on an almost daily basis. You'll likely want to go with the classic system. Yeah, they don't have warranties, they're a bit beat up probably and the games aren't full motion sickness Call of Duty kill-them-all screwfests, but there's the connection to the past and the value of the older systems that comes into play. Add on if you have one or more game stores in the area that cater to the older systems, then you have a flow of games.
