| Radiant Silvergun was made by the same company as Silhouette-Mirage, Treasure! I love Treasure Games! My name here is even after the protagonist in Silhouette-Mirage, Shyna! Glad to see you're into it. Oh, and I also played Galactic Attack, though I like to call it Rayforce. I've also played the prequels, Raycrisis, and Raystorm. Raystorm has to be the best in the series though. Some other shmups I like include Touhou (Especially Touhou, with its super uber cuteness and moe'), Dodonpachi, Ketsui Kizuna, Mushihimesama, Gradius, Otomedius, Ikaruga, Twinbee, Battle Garegga, Battle Bakraid, Strikers 1945/1999, Castle of Shikigami, Armed Police Batrider, Terra Diver, Espgaluda, Crimzon Clover, Deathsmiles, Space Manbow, Strania The Stella Machina, Astebreed, Darius, R-Type, Star Fox, Reflex, Alltynex, and Hellsinker Have you played any of those? |

That's why I replaced it with "Interior workings." Like maybe if there was such a DLC, Robot Tails would be facing against new ninja-like Eggman Robots that are powered by the energy from the Extractor, and instead of their spines, he'd rip out their Energy Core or something and drain energy from it. That way it would be less gruesome and more family friendly. |

I was making a reference to Metal Gear Rising, where in that one, Raiden is a Cyborg (sort of like Roboticized Tails in a way), and his special move, Zandatsu, involves him ripping out the spine of the enemy cyborgs and draining energy from them. Metal Gear Rising was the most awesome Metal Gear yet in my opinion, and I was referencing that from your Latest post. Well perhaps yes, though then again he could also be gaining the energy from the World Energy that Eggman would've absorbed from the Extractor and implanted into some of his newest robots to make them stronger, and Robot Tails would drain that energy using his Zandatsu. Maybe that wasn't as good of a reference as I thought it would be. ![]() |

| I've seen this game, though it reminds me more of Android Assault than Radiant Silvergun. It seems fun though and really awesome, although I'll look into seeing if I can play it on MAME Player, since it's that expensive. Although the Last Boss is really weird. I don't want to spoil it, but I can hardly tell what's happening in it. |

Or you play as Roboticized Tails, except instead of a Plasma gun arm, he now has a Ninja Sword, and you slash and hack your way through countless robots, some of them who are ninja robots, and use your Zandatsu move to rip out their interior workings and drain energy from them. |

| I hate to sound like I'm bragging, but I actually knew all of these facts before-hand, except for fact 08 that is. Although watching this video made me feel like a really good Sonic fan for knowing about them. Interesting stories about where I learned some of them. I learned about Fact 05 from this story about a real Two-Faced Cat who is called "Frank and Louie," and the cat's condition stemmed from a problem with his Sonic Hedgehog Gene. The ones of Michael Jackson's involvement in Sonic I found out about through Youtube Videos of the Sonic 3 OST, where in the comments, many people said things like "This track is dedicated to Michael Jackson" and stuff like that. Then I looked up why they mentioned things like that, and I found out about those facts from there. I learned about the Echidna part from my Biology class though. I found it an interesting subject about those "Spiny Anteaters." I'm glad you like this video I found though. |

| Thank you. I thought the same about him too. Expect to see more of this interesting little robot in my future works. Some of my inspirations for this character included NU-13 from Blazblue, and Vectorman. I also was partially inspired by this Gizoid fan-character from these videos below. Thought I'd mention that. |

| I've decided to design another Sonic Fan-Character, and one who is rather awesome and interesting. This one who is a robot, more specifically a prototype for one of the Gizoid robots, like Emerl and the others. This is my reference sheet for my newest Sonic FC, "Polyphemus The Prototype Gizoid." He was certainly a pain to draw, especially to get that robotic look right, but I like how I got him in the end. I was partially inspired for him by this character, Merlow The Gizoid, who appears on these awesome Youtube Videos by DestructionSeries, and by a few other things too. I plan to use him in some of my future works and more, hopefully soon. Oh, and I had to split the stuff on him into two reference sheets, for certain reasons. ![]() ![]() Name: Polyphemus Age: [Time of Creation Unknown] Species: Robot/Prototype Gizoid Affiliation: Neutral Personality: Polyphemus is a prototype for the series of Nocturnus combat androids known as the Gizoids. For the most part, he demonstrates little to no emotions, largely due to being a robot. However, he is equipped with an Artificial Intelligence system, much like the other Gizoids, and has his own free will and personality. He is capable of speech and despite being a robot, he normally uses typical speech and does not use lengthier words instead, talking in a more easier to understand manner. However, he has been known to make glitching sounds or abrupt pauses at times when talking, mainly a problem due to his memory deterioration. Due to not being preserved properly, Polyphemus has suffered a bit of mental and memory deterioration. Although his intelligence is about at average level, he has no memory of what had happened with him in the past, or of his creators from the Nocturnus Clan, or much else. He tends to be quite aggressive, and attacks anything that may pose as a threat to him or to anyone whom he may side with and not just what has to be eliminated. This does not make him evil though, just that he can get a little carried away in battle, and can be quite aggressive too. This mostly comes from the face that he was originally built as a robot suited for combat. However, due to his weapon scanning ability, if he were to face against a foe armed with a weapon he has not yet scanned, he might instead try to stall out the fight in order to try and scan the foe's weapon into his memory before engaging full-on in combat. It can be difficult to get on Polyphemus's good side, but when you are on his side, he can be quite a helpful ally and protector. However, he can be overprotective of fellow companions, even to the point of becoming a bit of a yandere for allies of his. Overview: Polyphemus was a prototype for one of the Gizoid series of combat robots. He was created by the Nocturnus Clan many years ago as an extremely powerful combat drone, and was an early model for the basic functions and purpose of the Gizoids. Later on, the Nocturnus Clan perfected their design in the other Gizoid units, as well as Emerl, and due to being obsolete for their needs, he was shut down. However, Polyphemus is actually quite powerful, and had been shown to be able to decimate entire squads of enemy forces on his own, it's just that he did not live up to the full expectations of his creators that he was deemed inferior. He looks mostly similar to the other Gizoids, except that he only has one large eye instead of three eyes, the head fins are shaped differently, his back booster is covered by a shell, and his shoulders are slightly different. Hundreds of years later, Polyphemus was rediscovered by Eggman during his conquests. He was not in optimum condition though, due to the fact that he was not preserved properly, unlike most of the other Gizoids such as Emerl. Due to this, he was found missing both of his arms, and had suffered a bit of memory and mental deterioration, but aside from that, was still in working order for the most part. Eggman then took Polyphemus and attempted to try and repair him, as well as repurpose him as a near-mindless weapon of mass destruction to use in his empire. However, before Eggman could succeed, the heroes managed to break into his base and found Polyphemus, where they attempted to escape with him. Upon escaping though, the heroes reactivated Polyphemus by accident. Upon his reawakening, Polyphemus ran rampant, and was first focused on defending himself while going to scan some of the weapons used by many of the Eggman robots in the base where he was being held. After scanning a number of them, Polyphemus began attacking everything in sight, even the heroes, and wrecking about half the base in the process. It wasn't until the heroes managed to convince him that they did not mean any harm, and Polyphemus then accepted them as an ally, though they had to fight against him and beat him into submission first before they were able to convince him that they were on his side. Polyphemus now allied with the heroes, though he is more leaned towards the side of neutrality, as for he does not truly accept them as friends or anything, but merely others with similar motives as him. Mainly, he is focused on learning more from them that he either does not understand or may have forgotten over time. He is not concerned about his past though, and does not even remember whom he was created by, but he does not let this bother him at all. Polyphemus's name comes from a notable cyclops in Greek Mythology. This relates to him in two ways. First of all, it relates to the fact that he only has one eye, like a cyclops. It also relates to how in Greek Mythology, the cyclops, including Polyphemus, were known to be expert weapons forgers, known to have created weapons such as Zeus's thunderbolts. This goes with the fact that Polyphemus the Gizoid Prototype is capable of scanning and replicating other weapons. This also fits with how many of the Nocturnus Clan soldiers and Gizoids were named after beings in Greek Mythology, such as Charybdis, Scylla, etc. Abilities: Polyphemus's main special ability is that he can scan and copy any type of weapon that he can see. This was an early version of the Gizoid's signature ability to duplicate and imitate the powers, skills, and weapons of others whom they had scanned. However, Polyphemus is only limited to weapons, and cannot copy powers and skills. This was one of the flaws that made him inferior to the other Gizoids, but he is still quite strong, although the other Gizoids would be able to overpower him. When Polyphemus is scanning a weapon, his eye dilates and glows. It takes a bit of time for him to completely scan a weapon and he can not do it quickly, and more complex and powerful weapons may take longer, but once he has it scanned, he will keep it stored in his memory. Polyphemus has these four triangular Plate Units on him. These plate units attach onto his back when not in use, and float near his body when in use. The Plate Units can be used sort of like wings for better control while in flight, or can be used as shields to block attacks. Polyphemus can keep control over these Plate Units and control where they float, as long as they stay within 5 meters of his body. The Plate Units also are key to his main special ability. Once Polyphemus has scanned a weapon, he can then morph any one of his plate units into a replica of that weapon for him to use. Although this takes some of his energy to do, and certain really powerful weapons he cannot replicate, he still can use a large selection from what he has scanned. The weapon will function almost exactly like the original as well, and appearance wise, they will look the same, except for the color, which always stays in his green color scheme, and Polyphemus will replicate the weapon's appearance exactly, even anything such as scratches, rust marks, or cracks will be there on the duplicate that he turns his Plate Units into. Also, although Polyphemus' can replicate weapons functions and appearance, but not size. If he were to scan an oversized weapon, his Plate Unit will only change into a duplicate of the weapon about the same size as his Plate Unit. He can also make them change back to their default state whenever he desires. The fact that he has four of them is also a big help, since this allows him to use up to four copies of scanned weapons at the same time. Although Polyphemus is able to scan and replicate almost any sort of weapon, he is actually somewhat inept at using guns and other projectile weapons, and has somewhat of a bad aim with them. Polyphemus prefers to use melee weapons most often, and only uses projectile weapons when he feels that he has to. However, his skill in close combat is decidedly deadly, and can eradicate most opponents easily with almost any melee weapon that he has scanned. Also, Polyphemus's Plate Units are virtually indestructible, but however, a really hard impact to the Plate Units will stun them and make them temporarily disabled and unusable for a few moments. This can be problematic due to the fact that Polyphemus has no arms. However, his lack of arms isn't too much of a weakness for him. Polyphemus is aware that he cannot always rely on his Plate Units, and makes up for this with his exceptional leg reflex and use of the booster on his back for aid in mobility. If all of his plate units are stunned, Polyphemus will often times resort to using kicking, backflip, and booster-aided charge attacks, or just try to focus on dodging or escaping until the stun on his Plate Units wears off. Here's a list of the weapons that Polyphemus currently has scanned. Due to his memory deterioration, he has no memory on weapons from the past, and all of his current weapon data was just recently obtained, mainly from Eggman's robots. -Swords -Spiked Balls -Lances -Plasma Gun (albeit ineptly used) -Piko Piko Hammer (copied from Amy) Aside from that, Polyphemus is also capable of flight. The shell on his back moves up to reveal a booster, which pivots, and can be used to fly. He can also use his booster to float dash along the ground in a manner similar to Metal Sonic. Polyphemus does not have arms anymore, due to losing them over time from being improperly preserved. However, he makes up for this by being surprisingly fast on his feet, and he uses the booster on his back to help maintain balance and get up with ease should he fall down. He also can use the plate units to push things, although lacking any actual hands with fingers can sometimes be a bit of a problem for him. Unlike most of the other Gizoids, Polyphemus cannot interact with the Chaos Emeralds or utilize Chaos Powers such as Chaos Control. However, others can still use the emeralds on him to recharge energy, and he can also recharge energy through rings.
