Hmm, never really thought about it that way. Thanks Ludichaos. Also, I don't really have much problem with the Deadly Six either. I always thought that part reminded me more of the Roboticizers from the Archie series. Though it was still poorly done in my opinion, and in fact, it could've made the ending a whole lot more better if it were done differently. I don't wish to go into detail about how I disliked the ending parts of Lost World, and how it could've been better, but if you really want me to, I will. Heck, also Eggman's "Extractor" reminded me of what the Metarex would do to entire worlds when they'd extract the Planet Eggs, except Eggman's extractor was only meant to absorb some of the world's energy from different parts of the world, and the Deadly Six just repurposed it to completely suck the world dry, so that Eggman and his kind would pay for how he abused them, unlike the Metarex, who would take all of it completely and leave the worlds dying in their wake, and cause planetary genocide too. |

Personally, I thought that they reference Six of the Seven Deadly Sins. Stereotypical, but fitting for that sort of thing. The fact that they look similar to Oni Demons also helps with that too. It's a theory that a couple of my friends believe in too. -Zavok is for Pride -Zazz is for Wrath -Zomom is for Gluttony -Master Zik is for Greed -Zeena is for Lust -and Zor is for Envy No Sloth, but I guess that would not make a very menacing foe in a Sonic game, since Sonic is mostly about Fast-Paced action, and a lazy foe wouldn't exactly be something that goes with "fast-paced." |

| Dark Gaia was a monster with a backstory though. Dark Gaia's backstory was that it is a beast that has been on earth for millions of years, and is an incarnation of night, darkness, despair, and destruction, as opposed to his opposite counterpart, Light Gaia (A.K.A. Chip). The two are part of a cycle of destruction and rebirth, where every number of millennia, Dark Gaia awakens and wrecks havoc and creates an Armageddon event, and then Light Gaia would restore everything and the cycle would once again restart. In Sonic Unleashed, Eggman started the cycle early, and because of this, much of Dark Gaia's energy burst out and manifested itself as Dark Gaia Spawn monsters. That's what Dark Gaia's backstory is. Solaris, Mephiles, and Iblis also have backstories. Solaris was a vengeful Sun God worshipped by the inhabitants of Soleanna, and once he split into two beings due to the Solaris Project, Iblis was the manifestation of his raw power and force, while Mephiles was the manifestation of his mind and consciousness. Anyone who played the game knows the rest. The Time Eater though, I would have to say, was a monster without much of a backstory, and I wasn't a fan of that too much, though it had other neat points that made up for it. I mean all it is was that Eggman is in space when he just so happens to come across it in it's basic state, and then he takes it, enhances it with his own technology, and then attempts to travel through time with it and stop all of his previous losses against Sonic from ever happening. We aren't told how it was created, or what it was doing in space, or anything else like that, "The Time Eater was just there, LOL." |

| Eh, I liked Sonic Lost World, up until the ending, for all the parts on Lava Mountain. The ending was just so disappointing, and could've been way better. Heck, I could've thought up a better ending to Lost World than that. Oh, and the Yoshi Land DLC, which also was terrible in my opinion. The rest I was okay with though. |

| I know, right? This SAGE is such a nice surprise. It really made my day today. There's two games I sort of had a problem with on this SAGE though. The first is Digimon Heroic Battle Spirit, which I do not think belongs in a convention like this. The second one is "Da Rock," though I think that one was just done as a joke. |

| Another thing I would like to mention that I like about this, which I had just noticed. It was mentioned that Andy Tunstall helped with this music. Andy Tunstall is also one of the music composers for the awesome Sonic Fan-Games, "Sonic Before The Sequel," and "Sonic After the Sequel." I thought this was rather cool about Temporal Duality. |

![]() So here it is. I announce that SAGE 2014 and is open & much earlier of course to forgive people to not having SAGE 2013 last year, due to certain unfortunate circumstances. A good compromise for that period that we finally could almost named SAGE 2013-2014!! Here's the link to the SAGE Website. http://sagexpo.org/ For those who still don't know yet what it is, SAGE (Sonic Amateur Game Expo) is a virtual expo of sonic fangames created originally by BlazeHedgehog which normally takes place every year in July/August. It's mainly for Sonic fans and showcases loads of awesome Sonic Fan-games. This time around, there are some awesome ones here such as a new version of Sonic Time Twisted, Sonic Project Eclipse, Sonic Lost Adventure, and more. Go check them out for yourself, many of these are rather good. I known of this event since the very first expo that began there more than a decade already and I've never been disappointed by the many surprises that you can see at it. This is an expo which started very amateur, but now it's an expo that has never ceased to impose its importance over the years, to the point of inviting real programmers who have worked with SEGA. Today it's no longer just an ordinary expo of sonic fangames but a huge fan festival with fun events, like radio live 24/24, live musical performances, exclusive animations, chat online, live interviews, gaming live performances, drawings and other surprises and so on. For this expo, it will be from February 23, 2014, until March 1, 2014. Only one week to enjoy. So One week you won't want to miss!!! It seems they are focusing more on 3D fangames this year. Take a look, You will not regret it!!! |

| Hey, I thought I'd show this now. They've recently revealed what the boss, "Mighty No. 7" is going to look like, the last of the 8 bosses to be revealed. Check him out! Apparently, he is going to be a ninja-like robot armed with dual swords. He looks to me sort of like a combination between Shadow Man and Quick Man. With that, this shows how all the "main bosses" will be like. Now all that remains is what might the "Final Stage" bosses be like, and who the main villain might be? Also, another new thing I thought I'd show in this thread. This is more stuff for Beck himself. Here it shows that the various powerups and Upgrades aren't merely just equipped weapons and powers, but some of them are full-blown transformations for Beck. Check out a few in these sketches here. The third one is how Beck rearranges his body with the equipped parts for these transformation modes. ![]() Personally, I think this feature of Beck's is less like Megaman. This now reminds me more of Vectorman, and also of Cubix from "Cubix Robots For Everyone," in the way that Beck alters his body to do these transformations with the upgrade parts and such. It's still awesome though. What do you think? |

| Well Megaman used to be really light in tone, but got really dark and edgy once it went into the Megaman X/Megaman Zero series, and yet Megaman was still good. And just because it has anthropomorphic animal characters doesn't mean it can't be serious in tone. Star Fox is a perfect example of this. Sonic can be like that too. |

| I've played the Mother series, and I have to say, it has to be one of the most trippiest, but interesting RPG's by Nintendo ever. I recall some pretty weird stuff happening in those games, such as for instance, when they hallucinate that they are in a distorted city called "Moonside," or when they fight against things such as "Master Belch" and "The Titanic Ant." It's so weird, but I still like it. And yes, Giygas is absolutely Terrifying! NESS........ NESS........ NESS........ NESS........ NESS........ NESS........ NESS........ NESS........ I....... | Interesting remixes of tracks from Sonic CD. It seems they gave it a sort of digital techno sound to it, that reminds me of bands like Daft Punk and Digitalism, but with other parts in it. They also did some of both the US and JP versions. My favorite tracks have to be the Timekeeper Quartz Quadrant, Yours Truly Satan Boss, and Two Futures Stardust Speedway. |
