I understand you completely, though I still like the Sonic series, this is a problem I do notice. Heck, I think SEGA should look at the really good Sonic Fanfics and Comics of this sort and take inspiration from them, or better yet, hire them for help. Maybe then they could actually get back to the less lighthearted Sonic that many of us love! Sometimes I think that after the bad reports on Sonic 2006, it scared SEGA into using less serious storylines and visuals in the future, and that's why it's been this way lately. Sonic 2006 I thought was actually good for that part. It's just that the gameplay needed work. They should've kept the edgier storyline and more serious-looking stuff, and just improved on the physics and gameplay. Heck, I bet Sonic Lost World could've have a storyline and characters like that, but still had that sort of gameplay |

These were my most and least favorites for me, if we are talking only about the games. Though there were some from the anime and comics that I liked better though. Most favorite Sonic Boss: The Egg Dragoon in Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations. Seriously, that thing had to be one of the most awesome Eggman Mechs ever! They really should add some more awesome bosses like that to future Sonic games. It was just so impressive. BTW, I like the Unleashed and Generations versions of the Egg Dragoon equally as much. Most disliked Sonic Boss: The Last Boss of Sonic Lost World. Seriously, that thing was so lackluster, and disappointing, and it could've been so much better. Almost all Sonic Last Bosses have practically blown me away with their awesomeness, except this one. Though I did like most of Sonic Lost World, but the ending parts were so disappointing, especially the Last Boss.

Thanks for the great introductions everyone! I might not be very active here, but I'll try to do the best I can. Once I have the time, I'll get to putting up that art thread and the stuff I have for my Fan-Manga project, Rika Magica. Oh, and another thing I should mention. My birthday is coming up, it's only 6 days away (February 3rd)! I'm going to be 22 soon!

I'm not entirely sure if this one counts, but my favorite would have to be Sonic CD. It was literally the first ever video game I played in my life, and is what got me to be a huge Sonic Fan in the first place, so it holds a special place in my heart. Plus, I loved all the time travel, creative boss fights, and more.

Wow, she's very cute and cuddly and moe'. I love that about her. It's rather sad that she suffers from ADHD and Bipolar Disorder though, although unique from typical FC's. Reminds me a of someone I once knew in school, who suffered from the same. Poor little Sari, I feel sorry for her.

I saw that there was no topic yet for this new amazing fan-game by Lake Feperd, but there totally needs to be one. Well anyways, Sonic Chrono Adventure is the newest hit by Lake Feperd, the awesome fan-game designer who also made "Sonic Before The Sequel," and "Sonic After The Sequel." It's a very unique and interesting and difficult Sonic fan-game that has a lot of time travel, secrets to find and explore, and Metroidvania Elements. I bet Choco will like this one, due to how he enjoys Metroidvania style games. You can download Sonic Chrono Adventure here: https://sites.google.com/site/sonicchronoadventure/ Now a little bit about this one to start. Basically, this Sonic fan-game is a unique twist on Sonic, that is like Sonic with elements from Chrono Trigger mainly, but it also incorporates elements from games like Legend of Zelda and Metroid. In this one, the various zones are interconnected in one big hub-world, and it has time-travel parts that changes it in areas, although the Time Travel parts are more like something from Chrono Trigger and not like Sonic CD or Sonic Generations. You can collect various different “equip items” to give you new powers and overcome obstacles, usually obstacles blocking a previously inaccessible part of an area you’ve been to before, and also face many challenging bosses. Sonic now can only hold a maximum of 30 rings, and he only loses 10 rings when hit, allowing you to survive three hits maximum when you are maxed out on rings. Also, now in addition to normal rings, there are Silver Rings, which you can find in the stages. Silver Rings are more like coins you can use a various item shops to buy ready-use Item Boxes that Sonic can carry in his inventory and use them whenever. There are lots and lots of secrets in this one, and I am trying to find them all as I try to clear this new fan-game of Lake Feperd’s. There are many fan-characters present in this one too, although they are a lot better than the cheap knockoff fan-characters that many consider the bad parts of the Sonic Fandom. One neat new character is Rodolia, a small bug whom Sonic takes with him as his “Navigator” in this one, and is sort of like Link’s Navi fairy, but a LOT less annoying, and more helpful. For the Storyline, it’s rather good, and could easily pass as something in the official series, which I like, and it’s also better than his previous games’s storylines too. In this one, Sonic is trying to find the mystery of a strange floating land called the “Sky Empire,” which became deserted and went into ruin about a century ago. However, during his journey, he re-encounters the True Last Boss of “Sonic After The Sequel,” which has been revealed to be an extremely powerful Autonomous Eggman Mech called “The EGGATS-2013.” It apparently managed to escape the realm in Sonic After The Sequel and survived its last battle with Super Sonic, although its hull was badly damaged but still working, and it has also gone berserk and also gained the ability to travel through time, making it the one responsible for the Time Manipulation parts in this one. The EGGATS 2013 then drags Sonic through time, and puts him on his newest adventure. Also, there are some new enemies such as these beings called “The Polem,” which were encountered briefly in Lake Feperd’s “Sonic Before The Sequel Aftermath.” The rest, well I'll leave that for you to see. However, unlike the last couple masterpieces by Lake Feperd, this one does not have a custom OST, and re-uses music from the previous games and from some other sources too. Though this is understandable though, since Feperd’s music composers have now left and are working on official Final Fantasy music now. Be sure to check out this awesome game, it’s absolutely wonderful!

I know, I figured it would be cool for her to have, but still not overpowered. Some of my inspiration for her came from Parasoul from Skullgirls (I happen to be a big Skullgirls fan too). I also based her some off of some of the girls from Rooster Teeth's pseudo-anime, RWBY. Hmm, well, I didn't really think too much into that. I was probably going to say she just sort of "has it," sort of like Amy does with her hammer. I never really thought about a upbringing or history yet, but I could probably work on that. I'd love to RP with her some time though, when I have the time to, that is.

Hello there Kittycakes. Glad to see another Madoka Magica and Sonic fan here. If you are interested, you should check out the stuff for my Madoka Magica Fan-Manga I am working on. It has some super cute new Maho Shoujos, and some awesome new Witches whom they will face against. It also takes place between Homura's 2nd and 3rd time reversals, so it's sort of an interquel. If you want me to show you them, just ask. You might really like them. I will try checking out those places. I have a Sonic Fan-Character already named "Bella The Cat" whom I have showcased in the fan-characters thread, and I will certainly want to Rolepaly with her when I have time. I hope to see you around too, Kittycakes! By the way, has anyone here played the game I based my username off of, "Silhouette-Mirage." It's an awesome old game, and I'd strongly recommend it.

Well, since I've come here, I wanted to show off my Sonic Fan-Character. I finished drawing her a while ago, and a lot of people on DA said that they liked her. Well here we go.![]() Name: Bella The Cat Age: 15 Species: Cat Affiliation: Neutral Personality: Bella is a somewhat enthusiastic and brave cat who is always eager to learn and improve on herself. She can be quite calm most of the time and enjoys casual walks, painting, and reading on her spare time, but when duty calls, she is not hesitant on getting her hands dirty. However, she does not like to use force unless she absolutely has to, and she has a tendency to feel merciful against unarmed or defenseless individuals, usually to the point of letting her guard down. However, she rarely questions orders from her superiors, knowing that they most likely have a good reason for giving them, even if it doesn't seem like the right thing to do at the time. Bella also has a strong rivalry with Rouge the Bat, especially since she betrayed the organization she works for, and was taken in as her replacement. Overview: Bella is a part-time government agent, working for the military organization, The Guardian Units of Nations, or G.U.N. who was appointed as the replacement for Rouge the Bat after Rouge had betrayed them. She is very high-ranked, loyal to them, and rarely ever questions her orders when on duty, thinking that the High Command knows more than her, and has good reasons for their actions. Often times, she has been sent on various missions, much like the ones Rouge used to work on. However, much like Rouge, she is allowed personal time away from base here and there. While working for them, G.U.N. developed a new prototype weapon. It was a multi-function weapon good for close-quarters combat, long-range fighting, and defense, and also disguises as an ordinary household umbrella. After developing it though, G.U.N. could not find someone among them would could wield this Umbrella Weapon correctly or efficiently, except for Bella, who demonstrated exceptional skill while using it. Ever since, Bella has been deemed the primary wielder of this advanced Umbrella Weapon. Abilities: Bella always carries around with her a high-tech, futuristic weapon that resembles a metallic umbrella. Similar to characters such as Amy Rose, Bella is capable of summoning this weapon back to her hand whenever she needs it. Bella’s Umbrella is a very powerful, multi-function weapon, and can be used in a number of ways. The tip of the umbrella is very sharp, and can be used like a spear in combat. The umbrella also has a built-in Railgun that fires powerful, energy-charged projectiles. When in Railgun mode, the umbrella’s sharp tip opens to reveal the Railgun Barrel. However, the Railgun needs a brief charge-up time, so it cannot be fired rapidly, although the charge usually takes about 2 seconds. When the umbrella is opened up, the Umbrella can be used like a shield to repel projectiles, and thanks to the highly durable but light alloy it is built from, it can withstand quite a bit of damage. The Railgun on the Umbrella can still shoot even when the umbrella’s shield is open, but it is not transparent, so properly aiming the Railgun while the shield is up can be rather difficult. When not fighting, there is a safety switch on the bottom of the umbrella, which Bella can use to disable its combat features, so that it can be used like a regular umbrella without accidentally harming someone with it. Aside from this weapon, Bella does not possess any special abilities or unnatural powers, such as super speed, enhanced strength, or anything else of that sort. In fact, when fighting against her enemies, Bella relies heavily upon her Umbrella weapon, and is pretty much a weakling without it. However, she knows how to use her umbrella weapon quite well, and is rather deadly with it. | Thanks for asking, Choco, and thanks for the welcome. I have played La-Mulana, and it was interesting, but not the best to me. Although it did have some neat boss fights, such as Tiamat, or the Ancient Alien Palenque. Personally though, I thought Cave Story was similar, but better. Also, I forgot to mention. I also draw artworks, and I am on Deviant Art. My biggest project is a Maho Shoujo Madoka Magica Fan-Manga called "Rika Magica," which I have been making slow but steady progress on, if anyone is interested. I'm also trying to think of some good original Sonic stuff, but I want to stray away from the not-so-good fandom parts, as in I don't want to make cheap recolor fan-characters or anything like that. If you want to see me on Deviant Art, my DA Name is "Hexidextrous." Here's a link to my profile. http://hexidextrous.deviantart.com/ |

Hello there, I'm new to this site. I have been looking for a good Sonic Fan-site for a while, and I think I've found it here. By the way, my username is after Shyna, The Messenger of Justice, from this old game called "Silhouette-Mirage." I also happen to be a huge Anime Otaku. I happen to be a huge Sonic fan, ever since the beginning. My first ever video game I played was Sonic CD, and I've been a Sonic fan ever since. Sonic has had such a huge influence on me and I will never hate the series! Some other interests I have include Strike Witches, Maho Shoujo Madoka Magica, Rozen Maiden, Touhou, Black Rock Shooter, Megaman, Silhouette-Mirage, Stretch Panic, Kingdom Hearts, Persona, Final Fantasy, Skullgirls, Gunstar Heroes, Dodonpachi, NiGHTS Into Dreams, RWBY, Team Fortress 2, Cosmic Break, and a few other things. I'm also a huge sucker for things that are either super cute and cuddly and moe', and things that have neat action with lots of parkour and explosions. Well, hello there everyone. I hope that I fit into this site quite well. I have little reason to believe why I would not.
